Uma Valerie Carruthers has been an excellent consultant to my healing process from Lymes using the principles of yoga, Reiki and her expertise in the Ayurvedic and Astrological understandings of the mind, body and spiritual aspects of healing. She has a clear understanding of migrating each person's subtle body through Nirodhah, Samadhi and Ekagra transitions of healing meditations. Harris Layne

Lindsay is a very dedicated, passionate and knowledgeable yoga teacher. I took private classes with her for several months. She taught me all the fundamentals of Vinyasa yoga and more. She also brought me material and suggested books and workshops to enhance my yoga practice. I would highly recommend her as a yoga teacher.

Suzanne helped me recuperate from an injury when doctors and physical therapists could not. I own my mobility and fitness to her expertise, support, and inspiration. The gym is the best I've ever been to. The yoga class I take there has taught me more about the postures than any other yoga class I've attended since I started 17 years ago. Hands down the best fitness facility and Suzanne is phenomenal! You won't be disappointed if you go, and it's worth every penny.

Superb in every aspect of teaching. SuryaStarr comes from a very grounded spiritual heart and meaningful focus to all those present in her class. She is extremely knowledgeable & professional in teaching proper alignment, form, centering, strength, breathing and release. Always encouraging one to be present within themselves while connecting with the yogic experience. SuryaStarr’s Yin Classes are nothing short of Brilliant! Personally, I find them a healing form of Yoga. Great for decompressing and releasing while being focused on a cellular level with your body as it communicates within you. It is a beautiful balance to a stressful life. She has given that gift to me. Because of SuryaStarr’s abilities & talent as a gracious teacher you carry that with you when walk (or float) out the door. Yin also compliments SuryaStarr’s Anusara Yoga 1 classes where she excels at teaching the five universal principles for alignment of both the inner & outer body. With her ever present knowledge she will gracefully guide one to strengthen & firm their muscular energy with rewarding awareness. She is a very gentle teacher that helps keep you on the path of your intentions of gaining the knowledge one is seeking in yoga. Oh, and I might add she has a great sense of humor! It is with much gratitude in my heart I have her as a teacher.

There are no words that can express how thankful I am for Cristina. The combination of her intuitively guided yoga, her remarkable ability to pinpoint areas of concern, her sincere observation, her suggestions that literally break down walls, to her natural healing ability. She has helped me through a low point in my life and has gotten me in touch with the divine that resides in myself and helped me to recognize it in everyone and I am eternally grateful. Cristina is a respectful, professional, and very wise beyond her years. I highly recommend her wholeheartedly. Thank you.

I wanted to learn how and why I should practice yoga. I also wanted to learn how to focus my mind and relax after a stressful day of dealing with students, teachers and parents. I was able to achieve all I had hoped for through Breathlink Yoga Therapy under the guidance of Nancy. Miss Nancy was everything I hoped a yoga instructor would be: knowledgeable, caring, supportive and helpful. Both the time (8 week 2 hour course + homework) and the money invested were resources well spent after feeling the benefits of taking the course. I walked away with a foundational understanding of how to breathe and techniques to slow my breathing when stressed. I learned how to meditate and calm my mind even when being bombarded with unexpected stressors. If you are a beginner or someone who is familiar with yoga, you can learn something that will enrich your life's journey from Breathlink Yoga Therapy.

        About

Our mission at Sister Lotus Yoga is make yoga accessible to everyone, regardless of age, physical capabilities, or background. We recognize that we live busy, stressful lives and that it is difficult to find the time to dedicate to self-care. That is why we are a "mobile yoga" company, offering instruction on our student's schedules at their preferred location (or at our yoga space in Orlando). We believe that the physical and mental awareness gained by the practice of yoga is the key to happiness and abundance, and that all human beings are entitled to both. Sister Lotus offers traditional Ashtanga Yoga classes and retreats. Classes are tailored to the individual needs of the student, while honoring the tradition and lineage of Ashtanga Yoga as taught by Pattabhi Jois in Mysore, Karnataka, India. We teach yoga postures (asana) and also other yoga techniques like meditation, chanting and breathing (pranayama), depending on the needs of the student.

        About

I offer sports and occupational massages. I'm a licensed and certified Thai massage therapist. I'm also a rehab exercise specialist, a 4th degree tae kwon do master and a certified yoga instructor. I provide balance for your body, mind and spirit.

        About

In addition to the standard yoga practice suited and built to cater the needs of each individual student I also incorporate different pranayama or breathing techniques that can be used on and off the mat. These techniques range from body warmers that build up heat and energy in the body to increase the heart-beat ( a sort of yogic cardio routine) to relaxing breaths that calm the mind and release tension. These can be used on a daily basis outside of the class. I also incorporate meditation techniques that the student can practice outside of the class if it’s something they are interested in pursuing.

        About

The Yoga Shala is located in the heart of Winter Park, Florida. The 2,100-square-foot studio includes a men and women’s locker room, two restrooms, a large practice room, a private client room, and a retail boutique, featuring Beyond Yoga, Manduka, Love This Life, Be Love, and much more. The Yoga Shala offers daily yoga classes in the traditional Ashtanga Mysore yoga method, which is the safest, most effective way to learn yoga. In Mysore style classes, the students work individually with the instructor to learn Ashtanga yoga. Building their practice in a group setting, the students learn yoga postures one by one, and as each yoga posture is mastered, the students will gradually build up his or her practice. The focus of our individualized method is on personalized yoga instruction. Imagine a private yoga lesson in a group setting. This method of yoga instruction is the way that yoga is taught by Shri K. Pattabhi Jois and Sharath Rangaswamy in Mysore, India, and why it has come to be known as “Mysore style” teaching. Practicing Yoga: Traditionally, Ashtanga yoga is recommended to be practiced daily. For busy Americans, this can be a huge commitment, but the benefits of a weekly yoga practice can spill into all areas of a yogi’s life. The Yoga Shala has two levels of membership: 3 days per week or monthly unlimited. As in India, the students at The Yoga Shala are asked to make a monthly commitment and come to class 3 to 6 days each week.
