I was "trying" to plan a 70th birthday celebration for my husband in our back yard with a confirmed head count of 43 people. Two weeks before the date of the party, I kept running into one obstacle after another and looking for vendors was taking an inordinate amount of time -- I knew I couldn't pull it off if I didn't get help. I looked on Thumbtack and communicated with several party planners. I was very impressed with Catherine's responses to my questions, and I liked her personality very much. She put my mind at ease right away. Once I engaged her services, my stress level disappeared. She took over researching vendors for best price, made all the arrangements for delivery, purchased things needed, communicated with me every step of the way, came up with great ideas I hadn't thought of, arrived three hours before the party and set up all the tables and chairs, center pieces, chafing dishes, EVERYTHING! She brought a Block Rocker to enable us to have music from our own playlist, and a microphone that hooks up to it. During the party, she made sure all the food was replenished if needed, cut the two layer cakes and plated them, and then stayed to clean up afterwards. I cannot recommend Catherine Pick highly enough. She rescued me and enabled me to have a wonderful party for my husband that would NOT have happened if I had been on my own. These people are first rate!!! Honestly, I don't think we could have made it through the wedding without them. From months before the wedding, Bill was in touch frequently to make sure all was on track. He often brought up small details I never would have thought of, that made preparations for the wedding easier. Karen and Bill were more than generous with their time and talents. They met us at our outdoor wedding venue for a planning session that was invaluable. They were there for the rehearsal, and organized it beautifully. They were working hard the day of the wedding to meet all our vendors, and finish the decorations. Your special day will go well, with them on your side. By the way, this is the truth. My wife and I had a really great experience with our wedding. They were very responsive and were always on time for our phone consultations. My fiancé was a bit of a bridezilla but Coffee Garden helped keep her focused and the flowers turned out stunning! They also do event planning, so 6 months later we decided to use them for my parents' 25th wedding anniversary party. We had 150 people and they made kept everything exactly on point. Both times were a wonderful experience and we'll definitely use them again for our next big family event.
I am the Student Government Sponsor at a local High School. After meeting with 6 event planners and hearing their vision for our "Nightmare" themed Homecoming dance, we decided to go with Marie Walker, owner of Dreams and Experiences Event Planning. Marie and her team absolutely NAILED it! Marie is a great communicator and checked in with us every step of the way. She also sent photos of what we could expect. She made customized desserts for our event and has a perfect eye for detail. The entire school was in LOVE with her work, and if you know any teenagers, you know that they are not easily impressed. Prices were also very fair. We are already looking forward to working with Marie and Dreams and Experiences again next year!
Andrea and Cristina of Lou and Pepper are the best. They are true professional party curators and very easy to work with. My birthday party, which they helped plan, was absolutely the most wonderful party I have ever had. Andrea and Cristina are so talented besides being very organized and hardworking. Andrea and Cristina kept in good communication all through the party planning process and beyond. All of my concerns were addressed promptly. They always respected my ideas and just embellished them with their own creative expertise. They planned my party like it was their own. From the Venue Manager, to the DJ, Videographer and Photobooth vendors, Andrea and Cristina coordinated everything seamlessly. They were meticulous in getting every detail of the party perfect. Andrea and Cristina really cared that my event was just like I wanted...and it was! I had so many comments from my guests about the beautiful décor. The ambience was festive and fun. Many guests told me that it was the BEST party they had ever been too. I totally agree. It was absolutely fantastic. Andrea and Cristina are so caring and devoted to making every event they are hired for special. They are wonderful to work with and really care about their clients. I would highly recommend Lou and Pepper for any event. You will be so happy you did!
Just hired Char-Don for our high school youth rally dinner. Event is next week. I'm guessing he'll knock it out of the park. Wish there were a way to add a review afterwards.
Brianna did my daughters makeup for her sweet sixteen and she was so gentle and patient. Everyone complimented her look soft mint and golden glow. I really felt like she takes direction and gave me exactly what I wanted.I highly recommend her for big events.
A Family Affair Event decorating did an amazing job decorating the ceremony and reception for my wedding on 12/16/2017. I was blown away at how they transformed the ceremony space. It was absolutely beautiful and they were great to work with. I highly recommend them!

We had a great experience with A La Carte! We had an event at 2 different locations back to back and they did a fabulous job. The food was awesome, the service was outstanding, they kept everything organized (I'm not sure how) and the events were a great success. We would, without a doubt, recommend them to others!
Absolutely wonderful catering for our wedding of about 80 people. Not just the best wedding food ever but great service. A lot of compliments from family and friends about both. In planning my coordinator/event manager was on top of everything. I am a details person and she was right there with me through the entire planning process. From planning, to day of set up, to service staff, everything was on point. I had full confidence in Yummo's ability to make the cocktail hour and reception go smoothly. A lot of different packages available to work with your budget. When the event ended at 10, everything had to be out by midnight. The entire team pitched in and got well before the deadline. From start to finish, our event was well executed. So happy we went with Yummo's!

He catered a BBQ baby shower I put on for my sister. We estimated about 100 guests. The food was well-liked and presented well. We had hot dogs burgers, bbq chicken, collard greens, salad and rice pilaf. The only problem was that he was supposed to arrive at 12 to begin grilling but arrived about an hour late (the event started at 2pm). But the event was on short notice-we contracted him about a week before. All in all everything went well and there was plenty of food.
