UPDATE: I reached out for weeks because some of the sod he put down was brown/dead but he reassured me that it would eventually grow with watering. I even installed my own sprinkler to make sure it got extra water. Only the squares that were originally green grew, the brown parts never did. He promised me that he would come back if it didn't grow. We exchanged several messages and then I stopped hearing from him -- and he NEVER CAME BACK TO FIX IT. See photo below of how it looked that day (with the flags), and again 7 weeks later (without flags), STILL PATCHY. I have given up and am replacing those squares myself. I should have just done the sod job myself from the beginning to avoid the headache of being left high and dry. I was trying to save time with a busy schedule, but ended up making more work for myself, and less money in my pocket. The other trimming work he did was fine, but the sod he purchased and his lack of fixing his work -- not so much. The sod squares are $4 each -- it's not hard to select sod that isn't dead or to honor your word and replace it to make good on the job. I understand a product can disappoint, but then don't leave a job looking like, promise you will make it right and disappear. I was originally going to set up a regular cadence of work for him to trim the trees and plants for me and even my neighbors, but the lack of follow up or holding to his promise was disappointing. Not worth the headache. ORIGINAL: Great communication from the start. He is knowledgable about landscaping and was able to help me tremendously with cutting a small palm tree and trimming shrubs and plants. He also installed sod in my small front yard and taught me how to maintain it. He was very professional, prompt and did a wonderful job!
