I loved the kindess and work ethic he brang all the way from jax to st Augustine. He knew exactly what I needed in my direction and picture. He has a great eye for the arts and the camera stability with the beat and physical moves added to my storybook music video . He helped bring this song to life visually. Look forward to working again with tci productions. Hes one of the best filmers that captured the shots and angles I needed. Stay tuned for my level up music video soon. Thanks again for helping out. Good luck in many more films you're apart of.

The service I received from Touchable Photography was outstanding to say the least. Trey Grier far exceeded my expectations and produced a final project that myself, the groom and bride-to-be will forever cherish, as he captured a once in a lifetime moment of "The Proposal" for us on film which we were able to share with family members afar. He told a story on film that family, friends and on-lookers are still viewing and being drawn to tears by it's beauty. I am pleased to say that he will also capture that special day of their wedding as well. Mr. Grier was very accommodating, flexible and even took time away from his own family on Christmas day to make our event a success. I would definitely recommend his services and consider myself grateful to have worked with him. TWO THUMBS UP for Touchable Photography!!!! Job Well Done!!!

OMG!!!! I wish I could give Ayeris 1000 stars! The BEST photographer out there!! No kidding! You will NOT be disappointed if you use Ayeris. During our consultation Tony listened intently to the specific moments that we wanted him to capture during our engagement shoot, the actual wedding, and even the reception. He and his staff understood our vision completely and delivered beyond even my CRAZY expectations! Even though I was somewhat of a "bridezilla" he remained professional and pleasant, even made sure he turned my earring around before snapping that perfect image. Not only did he deliver top notch photos and exceptional video, he also helped capture one of my most memorable nights. Every time we watch our wedding video or see photos from our special night I shed a tear of happiness. Everything was just perfect! I am truly satisfied with my experience with Ayeris Weddings and would recommend their services to everyone!

I am so glad that we, 1- hired a videographer for our wedding, and 2- hired Adam! He was a delight to work with. As everyone says, the wedding day is a blur and flies by, it was truly magical and being able to relive those moments on film is incredible. Adam is super sweet, prompt, goes with the flow of the timeline and was very knowledgeable at our venue (Treasury on the Plaza) and around town (St Augustine). He showed up early and jumped right in and stayed the whole time! I love that he captured so many candid moments and so much of our personality (which for us was dancing). The music choices he used were perfect, the editing was seamless. Having all of our footage, a trailer and a feature film is so fun! After researching many videographers, I felt like Adam's sound quality was suburb with very clear mics. Also, turnaround time post wedding we very reasonable. He is the total package, great value and 100% worth the investment. Thank you Adam!

The crew showed up to film a piece on our tree farm. It was HOT, MUGGY AND BUGGY but they were able to work through it without complaint. They gave good direction and suggestions, were thorough and took plenty of footage. They made revisions upon our request and had a finished product very quickly. The produced a high quality, high resolution video that was beautiful and did an excellent job of depicting what our property is all about.

I hired Broken Chains Productions for a project that I and other executives have been working on for about a year now. We hired Austin initially for drone and cinemotagraphy services to capture some Birdseye views and other footage for a project that we just recently finished filming. We got some astounding advice from Austin and he even made some script revisions for us, which we have received a phenomenal amount of positive feedback on, after finalizing everything. With the amazing quality, punctuality, and creativity he has to bring, I would enthusiastically recommend him.

Will Cook created a commercial for me for my music school. He arranged the set, outlined the script, produced, directed, filmed, and even coached me while filming (I'm not very good in front of a camera). He did a fantastic job and was very patient throughout the whole process and produced a beautiful commercial. He has a high level of perfectionism and pays attention to the smallest detail. I'd highly recommend using this young man and will do so again whenever I need video work.

I reached out to Andrew to provide an original score for a short film I'm working on since I had heard of him providing an original score for some local Academy Award Winne. He met all deadlines, some of them very brief, and conposed music with a very high production value certainly for for the silver acreen. I will be returning to him for my future projects.

My husband and I got married on June 18, 2016 in Amelia Island on the beach. I was adamant about getting the very best videographer to do our wedding. I viewed a friend of mine's wedding video and to my surprise Jamaal (who we met through church as he has done some videography work there) and his crew did the job. We didn’t actually know him but he was well known. Since I ugly cried through my friend’s entire wedding video I knew I needed Jamaal to do mine. I contacted him to meet up and we hired him! He came to the house we rented to get ready at and he hit the ground working as soon as he stepped in the door. I was super nervous already but he made it more comfortable atmosphere…shoot I could hardly tell they were filming lol He worked from the very beginning to the moment we left the venue…he was there exactly when I wanted him to be and when I didn’t expect him to be, it was awesome honestly. I wasn’t nervous at all and I am super camera shy…I wasn’t this day though. The most exciting day of our lives so far and Jamaal made sure to be there every step. My venue was outside, it was huge, a lot was going on everywhere but he was super attentive and was there to capture a little bit of everything. If he thought there was an issue he communicated it with me and it was addressed ASAP…I mean everything worked out perfectly…even when it was crazy lol I can tell you I expected to hate the way I looked in the video, hate the angles, hate the music…hate everything. I am pregnant and sometimes I don’t feel so pretty and I don’t feel so positive either (go figure lol). Jamaal worked his butt off to get us the wedding video before his deadline and he did. He actually came and delivered the video himself and got to be a part of watching it for the first time with us. Talk about ugly crying….there was a lot of it haha. Our wedding video blew any insecurity I had out of the window. As soon as the video started I was MADLY IN LOVE. My husband and I were so gorgeous together and everyone was just so happy and beautiful. He captured so much…so many intimate moments between my husband and I that I would have forgotten if he hadn’t been there to get it. He went literally above and beyond on our wedding day and on the video and we couldn’t be more grateful. We are truly blessed to have this treasure and to have worked with Jamaal on such a wonderful day. Everyone who has watched the video has said, and I quote “He did his thang forreal!” Please don’t forget…all have ugly cried while watching lol In all, his prices are very reasonable, he does an immaculate job, he communicated very well and overall he is a great person to know and to work with for sure. I will definitely recommend him!! Thanks Jamaal you dabomb . com bro!!!!!!

Answers to commonly asked questions from the experts on Thumbtack.

What is a videographer and what do they do?

A videographer professionally films weddings and other events and edits the footage to create film keepsakes or marketing materials for their clients. Wedding videographers record all the key elements of your wedding day, ceremony and reception, and then edit the hours of film during post-production to make a wedding video, social media highlight reels, and any other film features you choose. Wedding videography captures, in live action, your vows, the cake-cutting, the first dance, reception toasts, the decor, the guests and all the details of your day. Many wedding videographers also interview guests (based on an interview list provided by the couple) and incorporate the recorded responses into the wedding video. Event videography typically costs less than wedding videography, as events are shorter with less detail. The national average cost for event videography is $500-$760, while the national average cost for wedding videography is $990-$1,260. A videographer usually does not need to be licensed, but it is important to confirm they have insurance and good standing in the business community, as well as good client reviews. A great majority of the work happens during post-production. The pros watch and blend together the hours of footage they took (sometimes from multiple cameras) to capture the story of your wedding day or event.

How do you choose a wedding videographer?

A wedding videographer will create a lifetime memory for you from edited video footage of your wedding day, ceremony and reception. Choosing a wedding videographer starts with looking online at portfolios of their past work. There’s no need to talk to anyone unless you love what you see. Next, make sure they have good reviews and past client experience; don’t be shy about asking for references if there aren’t any posted online. When you find someone who has a style you love, ask if they are available on your wedding day. If so, it’s time to talk pricing. Be clear about your maximum budget, and ask what kind of packages they offer. Pricing will depend on the number of crew needed for filming, the hours they are required to be onsite, post-production editing, and the length of the final product. Talk with several wedding videographers to get a feel for what prices are like in your region. Nationally, the average cost for wedding videography ranges between $990 and $1,260 per event. Once you agree on a product and have a plan, get everything in a written and signed contract. Clearly state the details of what is expected for your wedding day and from the final product. Be prepared to pay a deposit to reserve their services for the day, then pay the remainder upon receiving the video.

What should you ask your wedding videographer before hiring?

Finding the perfect wedding videographer doesn’t have to be stressful. Asking a few key questions upfront will help you find the right fit for your big day. Before talking with wedding videographers, research their work online. Look at their websites, business profiles and social media, and see what their finished wedding videos look like. If the style fits what you’re envisioning, it’s time to reach out. During initial contact, make sure you get along with the person. This is important since they’ll be interacting with you and your guests.

Your first question should be about their availability; there’s no point in going further if they’re booked on your wedding day. Ask to see references if they’re not readily available online. Next, it’s time to talk about money. Ask how they determine rates or what kind of packages they offer. When you settle on a rate and the services you want, make sure to have a written contract that outlines everything, including cost, length of time they film, what post-production will include, and when you can expect to receive the edited project.

When do you pay your wedding videographer and wedding photographer?

Most wedding videographers and photographers require a set deposit when you hire them. Wedding season is a busy time and a deposit secures that vendor’s services for your wedding date. It also protects the vendor if the couple changes their mind at the last minute, and they can’t find a new booking and lose work for the day. The deposit may be anywhere from 20 percent to  50 percent of the agreed-upon total price. Always get a written confirmation that your deposit has been received.

The remainder of the wedding videography and photography bill may be due in the week before to your wedding or on the day of the wedding. Other vendors may require a second payment immediately before the wedding and a third and final payment after the wedding video or photos are delivered. Each vendor has their own policies, so before hiring be sure to read, understand and agree to payment protocols. There is no requirement for tipping wedding videographers or photographers, but if you do want to tip them, the end of the reception is the appropriate time.

How much is videography for a wedding?

Wedding videography is one thing many couples regret not paying for. It may seem like just another expense during wedding planning, but it’s really special to have a moving memory of your big day. The national average cost for wedding videography is $990-$1,260. Pricing can vary depending on wedding length, special film features, the amount of editing required, and how many videographers are needed to cover the event. Many videographers offer packages that provide different levels of service. A very simple wedding documentary could be $600 or more, while a full-scale cinematic experience involving multiple videographers could be $2,500 or more. Here’s an example of average package pricing:

      • Package 1: $1,400
        • Footage during and after the ceremony, including highlights requested by the couple.
        • Two cameras with audio equipment.
        • DVD including a 3- or 4-minute edit to a song of the couple’s choice and a 45- to 50-minute raw edit covering the entire event.
        • Recordings of guests’ good wishes to the couple.
      • Package 2: $1,800
        • Includes everything from Package 1, plus an additional videographer (2 total) and aerial videography.
Hire skilled professionals for absolutely everything.
