Catherine typed the vow we wrote, had a microphone for our wedding song and ceremony and filed our marriage certificate with the county. These people are first rate!!! Honestly, I don't think we could have made it through the wedding without them. From months before the wedding, Bill was in touch frequently to make sure all was on track. He often brought up small details I never would have thought of, that made preparations for the wedding easier. Karen and Bill were more than generous with their time and talents. They met us at our outdoor wedding venue for a planning session that was invaluable. They were there for the rehearsal, and organized it beautifully. Wow! That's what Destiny clearly brings to a wedding! She does a 15 minute consultation AND a huge discount for Thumbtack clients (as of this review) which I really appreciate and makes the process that much better. We haven't started planning my wedding yet, but her site is clean and examples of her work are lovely! In comparison to other wedding planners I've researched this is not something I could do on my own! Susan was great to work with! From the very first phone call she was so helpful with helping me decide on what flowers I wanted. She walked me through her website telling me what the flowers were and the arrangements that I liked. When we first met she brought a sample table arrangement and bridesmaid bouqet for me to look at. Where else do you get that? It was excatly what I needed to know that Susan would provided what I wanted on my wedding day. After that we stayed in contact and she was very flexible with my ever evolving ideas and flower requests. The day of the wedding my flowers turned out ABSOLUTELY GORGEOUS! I am the Student Government Sponsor at a local High School. After meeting with 6 event planners and hearing their vision for our "Nightmare" themed Homecoming dance, we decided to go with Marie Walker, owner of Dreams and Experiences Event Planning. Marie and her team absolutely NAILED it! Marie is a great communicator and checked in with us every step of the way. She also sent photos of what we could expect. She made customized desserts for our event and has a perfect eye for detail. The entire school was in LOVE with her work, and if you know any teenagers, you know that they are not easily impressed. Prices were also very fair. We are already looking forward to working with Marie and Dreams and Experiences again next year!

My wife and I had a really great experience with our wedding. They were very responsive and were always on time for our phone consultations. My fiancé was a bit of a bridezilla but Coffee Garden helped keep her focused and the flowers turned out stunning! They also do event planning, so 6 months later we decided to use them for my parents' 25th wedding anniversary party. We had 150 people and they made kept everything exactly on point. Both times were a wonderful experience and we'll definitely use them again for our next big family event.

Outstandingly Beautiful Decor and Very Professional! I attended a wedding that Stacy coordinated in Orlando and was very impressed with her professionalism and creativity. Throughout the event she remained calm and was very engaging and personable with attendees. I was immediately drawn to her and inquired about her services at the end of the event. What really stood out about Stacy is the fact that when I inquired about her services, she kindly stated that she would gladly answer all of my questions if I would allow her to call me the following day. I use the services of Jackson-Coley production and events to coordinate my wedding reception. And, Valencia outdid herself. My colors were black and white with just a little touch of red. I had black and white ostrich feathers in tall splendor vases that had a light on the bottom of the vase that was centered on mirrors with red rose pedals tossed on top of the mirrors. It was gorgeous. The tables were covered with black table cloths and white toppers. Valencia worked within my budget and kept me informed every step of the way. She was extremely professional and always delivered on time. I would highly recommend her services to bring a touch of class to any event large or small. She comes as your event planner and leaves as your friend.

We had our wedding catered by Louie's Bistro and everything turned out amazingly! The food was exquisite, and the service was excellent. The chef went over everything before the wedding so we knew exactly what to expect. Our guests had a real treat and everyone one was amazed at the quality of the food and the variety of the menu. Totally recommend his services.

Absolutely wonderful catering for our wedding of about 80 people. Not just the best wedding food ever but great service. A lot of compliments from family and friends about both. In planning my coordinator/event manager was on top of everything. I am a details person and she was right there with me through the entire planning process. From planning, to day of set up, to service staff, everything was on point. I had full confidence in Yummo's ability to make the cocktail hour and reception go smoothly. A lot of different packages available to work with your budget. When the event ended at 10, everything had to be out by midnight. The entire team pitched in and got well before the deadline. From start to finish, our event was well executed. So happy we went with Yummo's!

Cindy is such an amazing woman and very affordable! I had a beach wedding and was kinda a bridezilla lol and she was so amazing at making me happy and making sure I wasn't stressed out and went COMPLETELY above and beyond all that I wanted her to do. She went out of her way to do the special little things for our wedding that we forgot or just didn't think of and had no issue doing it. I loved working with her and will definitely miss talking to her all the time lol. I would without a doubt recommend her for anyone's wedding! Pulling off a large, complex wedding or an elegant, small affair requires juggling myriad details, including the officiant, food, drink, wedding cake, entertainment, transportation, rehearsal dinner, photography, equipment rentals, venue reservations and more. A wedding planner is a professional service provider whose job it is to organize and execute all the details of a couple’s wedding. A wedding planner can be contracted at any stage in the wedding planning process to help to any degree the couple is willing to pay for. Wedding planning is similar to event planning in that a planning team handles the coordination of multiple wedding elements including catering, venue, guests, entertainment, decor, transportation and more. Anyone who has ever been involved in a wedding can confirm that wedding planning is hard work. Experience brings wisdom when it comes to avoiding or resolving day-of challenges. There is no legal regulatory body that oversees or certifies wedding planning as an industry. Anyone who chooses can call themselves a wedding planner. When looking for a wedding planner, be sure to read reviews, and make smart hiring decisions by asking about licenses and insurance.

How much do day-of wedding coordinators cost?

A day-of wedding coordinator makes sure that every detail of your wedding day goes off without a hitch, and deals quickly and quietly with any last-minute emergencies. For many brides, the day-of wedding coordinator is their best investment! The average national cost for a wedding coordinator is $800 to $1,000. Although full-service wedding coordinators often charge a percentage of the total wedding budget, most day-of coordinators charge a flat fee plus an additional hourly fee if the day runs long. For example, a 15-hour day-of coordination costs an average of $600, plus an additional $45 per hour if the coordinator works more than the planned 15 hours. Another option is to hire a coordinator to manage the last-minute details leading up to the event; for example, 25 hours of month-of coordination costs an average of $1,200. Several factors affect the cost of day-of coordination, including the region, the planner’s experience, and the specifics of the wedding. If the ceremony and reception are in two different locations, expect to pay more than if they’re in the same place. What should you ask a wedding coordinator?

When you hire a wedding coordinator, you want to make sure he or she gets you and can execute perfectly your vision of your dream wedding. To find the very best fit, it’s important to ask these five questions:

  • Are you available on my wedding date? If the coordinator isn’t available on your big day, there’s no reason to continue the interview — unless you’re willing to shift your date to accommodate their schedule.
  • What’s average cost of most of your weddings? If the coordinator’s usual wedding is outside your range, they might not be the right coordinator for you. Ask whether the coordinator requires a minimum wedding budget. In general, the wedding coordinator’s fee should be about 15 percent of your budget.
  • What is your speciality? Some coordinators specialize in day-of coordination, some create the overall vision, and others act as a producer. Make sure your wedding coordinator provides the type of services that will most help you create the event you have in mind, such as selecting vendors and handling their contracts, or managing the guest list and invitations.
  • What are your ideas for fulfilling our wedding vision? After you describe your dream wedding — rustic or sophisticated, traditional or funky — the wedding coordinator should be able to suggest appropriate venues, menus, decorations, etc..

Do I need a wedding day coordinator?

Even if you’ve handled every detail of planning your wedding, you might appreciate having a day-of wedding coordinator in your corner. Usually, the coordinator meets with you a few weeks before your wedding to put together a detailed timeline of everything that needs to happen on your wedding day. Then, on the big day, the coordinator makes sure everything goes according to plan — and handles any emergencies that pop up, such as party crashers, missing tuxedos, late vendors, disappearing bridal party members and more. Most wedding coordinators also handle:

  • Distributing the wedding day timeline to all of your vendors.
  • Coordinating all of your vendors, including the photographer, florist and baker.
  • Conducting the wedding rehearsal.
  • Helping the bride and her wedding party get dressed and take photos.   
  • Checking floor plans, lighting levels, cake placement, menus, favors and more.
  • Collecting the wedding gifts and keeping personal items safe and accounted for.
