Absolute Environmental is an absolute NO DO NOT HIRE Under no circumstances hire this company you will be very very sorry. 2 "kids" arrived in an unmarked white van. my ducts and registers were taken off for them thru house because the house was just painted and yes they admitted laughing all the way how easy this job was going to be because taking off ducts was a major portion of their job . Their work they did consisted of walking room to room spraying disinfectant with a little unmarked plastic spray bottle that looks like it's from $1.00 store then bout 10 minutes at best putting few squirts of what liquid in an unmarked plastic bottle into my ducts? I call this exceptionally poorly poorly work done by 2 kids clowning around then - arguing with each other when 1 made mistakes that he didn't know what he was doing. I should have stopped them then but I gave benefit of doubt that if they knew if I said something as I did "do you know what you're doing?" they might straighten their act out. What a serious mistake letting them stay. this was supposed to be a professional job of disinfectant blown through ducts not an unmarked little plastic spray bottle w liquid of god knows squirted by hand this doesn't say professional by any means. I could have done that ! think about it how far into a duct can a few squirts go by hand of unlabeled liquid in a little plastic spray bottle? I had another company come to another property with professional equipment that blew disinfectant through the ducts so I know how it's done. Lindsay the owner? admits 1 kid might have known what he was doing but the other ?? Let me say clowning around in front of customer saying how easy this job is because ducts are already down a major portion of their work then arguing back and forth was insulting not only to me but my neighbors who came to check them out. At 1 point to straighten them out + give them a chance I said to the kid you don't know what you're doing ...right then I should have asked them to leave or better put thrown them out for even attempting to do 10 minutes of work insulting me and ask for $225.00. being an honest person I issued check then called the owner for a refund she agreed. I'm thinking I'm getting most of my money back come to find out Lindsay is charging me $180.00 for the trip they made really? yes I will pay for their gas but not $180.00. How bout $49 Lindsay says on Thumbtack other company's charge that you will get a lousy job the bad story gets worse I called the bank and reported them stopping payment on check and told Lindsay I did this She told me I'm paying $180. for them to drive here. Seriously who is she kidding? the bank said if they attempt to cash the check they knew had a stop payment for poor services rendered to a customer there will be problems by the authorities for cashing this check. I'm following through it's fraud. The story goes on my neighbors were here witnessed their actions called it a scam right away to me to ask them to leave premises to protect me. neighbors saw same as I did unmarked white van 10 minutes of work using a so called plastic spray bottle by 2 kids clowning around and arguing he knew what he was doing when it showed he didn't by his asking questions to other doesn't cut it Lindsay promised on Thumbtack they were different from other companies this is a outright LIE They don't have professionals or professional equipment besides 10 minutes of nonsense clowning around and arguing by 2 kids is no way to perform any type of work work for $225.00 this is ludicrous For Lindsay to agree most of their work was done for them she offered to clean dryer vent that they charge $100. for ..again seriously? I've had this done professionally done before for a lot less than $100. especially the 4 minutes it took. I told the kids forget it the dryer was not mine hadn't worked in years don't waste your time they tried it anyway and like I said they found nothing it was a waste of time and my money Why not listen to customer? To clean an already clean dryer vent when customer says it's already done by others is wrong. when the 1 kid said to other go out n look if anything came out of vent on other side his answer was huh? I knew what he was talking about n looked myself doing his job to find nothing just like I said. I told them I already did the work for a new washer .and dryer coming did they even listen? NO they were following Lindsay's instructions to try validate more work to justify to collect the $225.00 I am writing on Thumbtack checking into Better business bureau the internet sites if they advertise and any other organization meant to protect customers from getting taken by a company such as Absolute Environmental who have people that don't know what they are doing.. Im talking to the bank to see what can be done because they cashed an unauthorized check they knew of. The internet is a powerful tool that protects customers from experiences like this I hope to teach Absolute Environmental a lesson when a customer says NO or has a problem with their work stops payment on the check and tells them that moment they don't run to the bank and cash check in hopes of beating the system. Be careful unfortunately I fell for Lindsay's false advertising Lindsay's words on Thumbtack don't fall for a $49. vent job by others. unfortunately that's all this work was worth if that especially if you want to put up with these 2 kids who work for her their clowning around and insults that this job is so easy because the bulk of their work was done before they walked through the door. Lindsay if she is even the operator in charge or someone who just answers the phone and does bookkeeping needs to check how other professional duct cleaners do their work and the professional equipment they have then get rid of their little unmarked plastic spray bottle lastly hire or train workers before taking on work and sending them to people's homes who customers trust they will do a decent job. Under NO circumstances hire this Mickey Mouse company to steal your money Once again, DONT fall for what Lindsay says on Thumbtack don't look for the $ 49. vent cleaning job hire them. DONT I have hired many professional people from Thumbtack have been very pleased with all of them to the point I not only paid the bill right away but gave them all generous cash tips for doing a great job. Thank you Thumbtack but get rid of Absolute Environmental as soon as possible on your list of professionals.
