About

My son started piano lessons with Mrs. Cain when he was five years old. She is a wonderful, experienced, teacher that cares for her students and their musical development. My son absolutely loves her and I would recommend her for anyone that is looking for a knowledgable piano instructor. She is patient and easy to work with! I have even taken lessons from her myself (an adult). Thanks to her for years as a committed teacher!!!!!

About

A friend of mine referred me to Freedom Music Academy because I wanted to learn to sing and play piano at the same time and I didn't know where to start! I did my research and was so impressed by the teacher Mr. Wicks that I had to schedule my first lesson. When I did, I was blown away by what I was taught and how my voice sounded even after one lesson that I decided to go full blast and learn BOTH piano and voice. After some lessons and much help and direction from both Yohance and Angela, I am now a Tampa Bay "star". I do shows every week thanks to Angela putting together my band and booking us at great places, I have gotten 1st place in multiple competitions and just this month auditioned for the final season of American Idol and got through the first 3 rounds! I owe this all to Mr. Wicks for helping my real voice unleash! I had no idea I had piano talent as I do and I am forever grateful. Thank you both for pointing me in the right direction and helping my dreams come true. I love Freedom Music Academy. Highly Recommend to EVERYONE!

Connie is an excellent piano teacher. I took lessons from her for over 6 months and have to stop because i am moving out of state. Over that period, i learned a lot , i made huge progress in my piano playing. Her method of teaching is practical and free flowing, she encourages spontaneity, self expression during performance, and she is not caught in making student play to be perfect but instead encourages playing to create beautiful music and interpretation. Her approach to piano teaching is to facilitate progression and artful performance instead of adherence to structure and perfection. I will miss having lessons from her and i am hopeful, though someone like Connie is rare, that i will find a similar teacher like her in the future.

About

Starting piano lessons as an older adult is much more difficult than when you are young and kind of scary. But I was at ease with Betty immediately. She is a wonderful person and I can't even imagine a better teacher. She is such a talented pianist herself & a very patient teacher. I also loved how she talked about music history & the great classical artists. It is easy to see how much she loves what she does. She really cares about her students and will go the extra mile to help them learn. I had to move out of state or I would still be her student. She's the best!

About

Becky has been giving piano lessons to our two children for at least eight years now and we have to say we couldn't ask for a more capable instructor. Besides being very sweet, Becky is very good with children and is very flexible regarding choices on music pieces. She can teach anything. Our kids love her as do we.

My son loved his first piano lesson. He can't wait to go back. Dr. White knew just how to deal with him (he's autistic) and she has an amazing amount of patience and knowledge.

About

I give individualized private music lessons on violin, viola, and beginning piano. The lessons are typically weekly, with 2-3 recitals per year. My first priority is fun! I also provide a solid introduction to technique and theory and ensemble playing that lays a foundation for lifelong musical enjoyment and understanding, regardless of how long a student stays with a particular instrument.

I'm almost 70 years old and I'm taking piano lessons from Carol. She is a excellent teacher with a great deal of patience. She is always prepared and on time and even though I'm old she demands from me exactly the same as from a young student. I feel very privileged to take classes from a teacher of her caliber.

When you first meet Tony you sense immediately his passion and love for music; this comes through in his teaching style and attitude. Our 2 daughters (ages 13 and 11) have been taking lessons from Tony for about 9 months and we are definitely seeing improvements in their abilities. He has a knack for challenging them without them really knowing that's what he's doing--he pushes (gently) on them to reach their potential. Our girls enjoy taking lessons from Tony and look forward to seeing him each week, they practice without being asked (most days) and look forward to learning more interesting and challenging music. I would absolutely recommend Tony as an instructor for children or adults.
