They were reliable, responsible, and did what they said they would. Deb was "on top of it"! They really went above and beyond for me. My storage unit was not big enough for all my stuff, they were kind enough to leave the truck overnight at my place til I found another unit. Then when I was out of town, I realized we stored something that I needed to return to my landlord, they went to the storage unit for me to find the item, even dropped it off and my landlord for me! Let me start by saying that the employees were very friendly and arrived on time. Other than that we were very dissatisfied. When given an estimate prior to hiring it was anywhere from $1100-$1500. We accepted. The day they arrived to pack, I told them there was less to pack as we decided to not have them pack any food (they did end up packing a very few food items that were in Tupperware). I had bought actual moving boxes prior because we did pack and move some things for showing of the house. There were several boxes left over to include a TV Box with padding that I showed them. The first day they packed and were returning the next morning to move everything to our storage unit (that was less than 2 miles away). When I walked around after they had packed I noticed that they had left a wrought iron stand that held 2 baskets on my vanity. I didn't think anything of it, figured they ran out boxes or something and would get it the next day. The next day they showed up to do the move. I was not at the house, my husband was. By the time I got to the house, they had finished. My husband mentioned that they had been in a real big rush because they had another job to get too. I walked into my bathroom and that wrought iron stand still sat on the vanity plain as day and they had not gotten a blue wooden cabinet that was in front of the toilet. This was not a cabinet attached to a wall, it was free standing and obviously not part of the house. I then walked to the front hall closet and they had not gotten a plastic set of 3 drawers that held things like light bulbs, vacuum bags, etc. Everything else in there was gone except that. They also left a large wall hanging in the dining room. Now, forgetting the little stand, not a big deal. But forgetting pieces of furniture? Not ok. We ended up having to take those things to our storage unit ourselves and when we opened it we saw that they had put our TV on the ground with a piece of paper over the screen. The box I had showed them was stacked on top of other things in there. Why was it not used when I specifically showed it to them? Maybe it didn't fit, but in that case they should have used one of their boxes. Not transport a 70 inch TV with no protection. I'm sure things were forgotten and not done because they were in such a rush. As well as, who knows if there is any damage to anything because of the rushing. We won't know till we remove the items from storage in 6 months to a year. We have a really big problem that things were missed and/or not done properly because they were rushing to get to another job. WE paid them to do a job as well. They should have called the other client and let them know they would be running late. It was not our problem that they had not given themselves enough time and had another job. In the end we were charged $1400. So, $100 shy of the high end of the estimate for a rushed, not complete job that they had to drive less than 2 miles to deliver.
