Working with Mic as a career / business coach has been extremely helpful: first in helping me to define the problems & challenges on which I need to work in order to reach my objectives for 2017. Second in being available to help me with follow-through on those 2017 objectives. I recommend Mic's as a coach for anyone needing core, honest, actionable coaching on career, leadership, and business endeavors.

Being a high level athlete requires fueling your body correctly for your workouts. Not only that but having goals and a map on how to reach them. Laura Miller helped provide me with sustainable tools to both ends. Not only did she work with and around my schedule but also my previous notions of "healthy" and what that meant. I haven't reached my full potential yet but because of her coaching I'm well on my way!

Justin has been my personal trainer now for about 3 months and I must say I could've never done this alone. He showed me exercises and stretches to do everyday so I'm not as sore after the workouts and he shows me stretches to improve my posture. He always has lots of energy and he's always very positive! Be prepared for a butt kicking work out! His work outs are intense but he coaches me through it every time!

Erin Lavender is a very compassionate, understanding, and wonderful Coach. She has the amazing skills to intuitively guide each of her clients to discovering their true inner power. Her time management program has really helped to put my life back in order. As a stay at home mom, I have learned that time can easily slip from your fingers... But Erin has helped me re-establish order and now has me on an amazing path to starting my own business. I have been working with her Time Management program for only a month and I have accomplished more in a month than I have accomplished in almost two years! She is an amazing coach and you will be so happy that you have her on your side coaching you to accomplishing your goals!

        About

I have over 30 years of experience of building inside sales and business development lead generation teams that produced cost-efficient and well-trained marketing and sales professionals, delivering proficient performance along with profitability net sales consistently. I have learned over time that essential to any sales organization's success are team building skills, ongoing training of staff, talent assessment/evolution, monitoring and coaching while maintaining a clear focus on driving sales by a focused discipline to develop the sales force. I possess a respectful understanding of the duality of the marketing/sales processes; this alone gives me an advantage in training and coaching both positions. I have worn both hats. My passion of my profession, ongoing education of relevant practice, open-minded and adaptable attitude has allowed me to be an effective marketing/sales leader. You will benefit from my collective knowledge and experience inclusive of a variety of industries where the product or deliverables ranged from consumer electronics products to home improvement, business software/technologies outsource services and digital out-of-home media advertising. I desire to always be a contributing team member for my employer or client. Throughout my carrier, when given the opportunity or responsibility to address critical sales growth issues, my ability to strategically think often outside the box allowed me to contribute substantial value to that company. On two occasions, my ideas and implementation strategies fostered lateral market projects that generated increased sales revenue alone with sustainable growth patterns that continued after I moved on. As a listening, confident, and knowledgeable consulting professional with comment to stay current with the every changing developments in technology and best practices tools for success, you will be able to benefit on what some major U.S. corporations have spent hundreds of thousands of dollars to create in me, but you'll be offered a reasonable rate. The ROI on this investment will amaze you. Do yourself a favor and don't spend the investment in costly marketing programs or nonprofitability advertising campaign until you talk to a professional.

        What is a career coach?

If you’re interested in furthering your career and want expert help, a career coach is a smart solution. A career coach is a professional you hire to guide you during a job search or a career transition, or to help you improve and advance in your current position. A career coach analyzes your work situation and learns what your professional goals are. They then create a strategy to help you achieve your targets. Throughout the process they should provide objective feedback and guide you in approaching the process strategically. Here are some of the tools and tasks a career coach may assist you with:

        • Helping you build a strong resume that reflects your work history, potential, and skills
        • Coaching for interviews and strategies for solid answers built around your resume and the target job
        • Defining your career goals
        • Creating a plan for job searching
        • Improving networking strategies and skills
        • Developing strategies for negotiating raises or promotions
        • Assessing why you’re not getting where you want to go
        • Identifying new positions or career opportunities that fit your skills

        Why is career counseling important?

Career counseling can help you discover your career path, help you overcome challenges preventing you from finding happiness in your job, or help you learn more about career opportunities that are available to you. Career counselors are typically counselors who specialize in helping guide people into their best career choices. As professionals, they have typically completed a master’s degree in counseling with a focus on career counseling and bring a nuanced understanding of the emotional blocks that prevent someone from doing what they love or getting ahead in their current position. Here are some of the ways that career counseling can help:

        • Identify your skills and talents and how they correlate to different career paths
        • Educate you about the educational requirements for launching in various careers and what earnings can look like
        • Help you understand the kind of environment you want to work in, and which careers are best suited for that
        • See opportunities to transfer your existing skill set to other career areas
        • Help you identify causes of tension or unhappiness in your current career and how to overcome those difficulties
        • Help you create a game plan for moving forward
        • Provide a safe space for you to understand your feelings about career choices you’re making

        What is a career counselor?

If you’re feeling lost in your career path, overwhelmed, in need of a job but confused as where to start, or ready for change but uncertain what you want, a career counselor is a good choice for you. A career counselor is typically a licensed professional who has earned a master’s degree in counseling — likely with an emphasis on career counseling. Each state has different licensing requirements for career counselors, so be sure to research before reaching out to a pro.

Due to their academic backgrounds, career counselors often have a more holistic and in-depth approach than a career coach. Career coaches are not regulated by states and also tend to be more business-focused — a good fit for those who know what they want but need help achieving it. On the other hand, a career counselor provides guidance and clarity around some of the more emotional aspects that job hunting and career movement entail. Career counselors meet with you in a series of one-on-one sessions. They assess your personality and learn what drives you. They get a detailed understanding of your work history and your hopes, and often work to help you discover any internal blocks preventing you from going where you want to go. Hiring a career counselor is appropriate at any time in your career, from recent graduate to executive-level management.

How much does it cost to hire a career coach?

When it’s time to take your career to the next level, it’s time to hire a career coach. The cost to have a career coach help you with your professional journey will vary based on how many sessions you require, the level of coaching you desire, and the rates of the coach as determined by their experience, expertise, education and training. On average, career coaching sessions can range from 60 to 120 minutes, depending on the professional and what your needs are. Career coaches in smaller towns and areas with a lower cost of living will also typically have lower rates than those residing in large metro areas like New York, although most do offer remote coaching. Many coaches also offer a free introductory consultation, which gives you the opportunity to determine if their personality and coaching style are the right fit. It’s helpful to ask the coach about their relevant experience and get references from former clients. Depending on the professional, session rates could range anywhere from under $60 to well over $250 per session. Package discounts are a good way to commit to the relationship as well as get savings on services.

How much does it cost to hire a career coach?

A career coach provides one-on-one sessions to help you reach your career goals or overcome any challenges you’re having in your career path. The cost to have career coaching can vary based on factors such as the number of sessions you purchase at one time and the experience and rates of your counselor. Career counselors are typically professionals who have earned at least a master’s degree in their field. Based on their academic background, supplemental certifications they have received, and any postdoctoral work they have done, their rates may vary. Typically career counselors offer reduced rates when you sign on for their services on an ongoing basis. A typical price range for career counseling services (nationally) could be $75-$150 per session. Remember to always ask if the career counselor offers a complimentary introductory session. You want to make sure the relationship will be the right personality and counseling style fit to help launch your confidence and upcoming career changes.
