Chef Nikki hosted "Cooking and Cocktails" for my girlfriend's birthday at the Twelve Hotel, Centennial Park. The class was better than I'd hoped! The class was SO much fun! And the food was ABSOLUTELY DELICIOUS!! (We had the meal for breakfast the next day...LOL!) She is very professional and personable. She is knowledgeable and gave great cooking tips! I would definitely recommend this class and Chef Nikki's services!

Ms. Roberts was very thorough and quick with the cleaning. Great personality and really knows what she's doing. My apartment looked amazing when she was done with it. Pleasant to talk to and also has one of the best cleaning service prices out there. Definitely will be giving her a call back when the house gets dirty again. Lol. P.s. And she is a great personal chef for all you out there that don't like to cook much.

Lou spent several hours teaching me the basics of baking. It was an excellent experience. He's amazingly patient and keeps things interesting. I learned quite a bit and plan to keep practicing with the recipes he taught and then reconnect with him to learn more. I highly recommend him.

Melissa and the dinner was perfect in every way. We had a family Christmas party of 16, including three children. She arrived before the guests and immediately begin preparing and cooking. We had beef tenderloin, salmon, amazing side dishes and great desserts. Melissa prepared grilled cheese and chicken fingers first for the young children. Thankfully she made plenty because the adults were going crazy over the children's food! The dinner was excellent, everything was delicious. It was presented and served perfectly. She cleaned everything so quickly and left us to enjoy. We truly cannot say enough. It was wonderful to be able to sit and visit with family. We highly recommend and plan to ask for Melissa every chance we have!

I asked the Chef to prepare a meal that would compliment my red wine, and he did just that. The entree was artistic and delicious. I couldn't have gotten a better dish anywhere else. Thank you

Monica did an excellent teaching me how to make a sweet potatoes pie and pecan pie. She discussed the best brands of spices and utensils to use. She went step by step in guiding me to make these pies.she was very patient during the entire process. My pies turned out perfect and were a hit with the family. I will definitely utilize her for my next cooking lesson.

The menu items were personalized to fit our needs. We were able to watch Nicole prepare and cook several of the food choices and then we sampled everything. She provided details about what she cooks and the nutritional value of the items compared to other foods. The cooking lesson was a birthday for my boyfriend and his favorite part was making our own pizzas. In addition to the making pizzas to go (and who doesn't love pizza), we left with plenty of tasty leftovers from this fun experience.

As a mother 's day gift my children gave me a cooking lesson in my newly renovated kitchen. Lori came to my house to give me a lesson. Not only did I learn a lot, it was fun! I look forward to more lessons with Lori.

Answers to commonly asked questions from the experts on Thumbtack.

How much do private cooking lessons cost?

You can take private cooking classes to have fun, to learn a new skill, to improve your health, to bond with your partner, to enjoy a playful first date or to have a unique birthday party experience. Nationally the average cost of private cooking lessons ranges between $100 and $150. Prices can vary, depending on where you live, the type of cooking class you’re taking, the ingredients the chef provides, and the reputation of the chef. Cooking classes with Anthony Bourdain will clearly cost more than classes with a local restaurant owner. The number of people in the class will also affect the cost, with group lessons often priced per person to account for the cost of ingredients. For example, for group lessons, a brunch workshop may cost an average of $70 per person, a steak dinner with sides could cost an average of $80-$85 per person, and a sushi lesson could cost an average of $100 per person. Ingredients play a major role in cost, as the chef will pre-purchase the food you will be working with. Weekday classes will usually cost less than weekend classes.
