I've taken vocal lessons with Vivian for a while, and I can definitely say I would happily recommend her to anyone.
She's not just an excellent vocalist (which she is!), but she's also uniquely gifted at finding the particular mental blocks and difficulties that are preventing particular students from finding what they need to move to the next level.
Not every great performer can teach--they are very different skill sets, the latter requiring a particular combination of insight and personal empathy at which Vivian absolutely excels. I have searched for the right vocal coach for many years, but not until I found Vivian did I feel like I really began to make real progress, on both a personal and musical/artistic basis.
Please do yourself a favor and call her!

Vivian's work as vocal coach goes way beyond what I expected. I have trained over the years with professional coaches whose approach seemed to be standard and the same for all of their students. The result was very much like working on my own and I did not feel that I grew as an artist. Vivian uses her ear to spot errors in technique while she fully explores the singers posture, and singing mechanics to isolate and correct bad habits that stand in the way of improved vocal quality and delivery while shaping a unique style, control and range that is amazing. In short, Vivian can spot what you need as a singer, tells you how to get it and helps you to get rid of what you don't need. I have come a long way in just a few months. The only shortcoming to working with Vivian is not having the time to do more frequent sessions with her.

Vivian takes her time to help you discover your voice. Her training helps you build confidence and self esteem - she mothers your lessons in ways that develop your voice to be the best it can be. Her training is unique and very one on one. I recommend her to any person wanting to discover their true voice.
