The team did an excellent job talking us through our options and setting us up with their financiers. The crew started and finished our job within a day, and even took on the extra project of replacing some siding. We continue to be pleased with our roof and siding. Highly recommend this company!

Ron has been a great handyman and has gone above and beyond. He has built a brand new roof on my place, framed in a new wall, and hung sheet rock. He has been very reliable and always answers a text or a call. He will be my first call on the next project I have.

We did not employ Blue Sky because we actually needed a structural engineer to look into the roof sagging issue we were having. but they got back to me so fast and gave me a great referral for a structural engineer.

I had three terrible leaks in my home. I heard about Jimmy from a friend of mine. I contacted him, he came out looked at my roof. Gave me an estimate and I approved. He was right on it the following day. His helper and him had All my old shingles off that day and replaced rotten wood in the leaking areas. The next day they were back at it To my surprise by the end of the day I had a brand new really good looking roof. They both stayed late cleaning small debris left over from the removal of my roof around my home. They did a wonderful job and I will highly recommend them to anybody.

All Pro Xteriors stands out because we are part of the top 3% of all contractors in the USA who are Master Elite Certified to offer the most solid warranties. Q. What makes a master elite contractor so good, and how is that different from a standard roofer or even a certified contractor? A. We thought you would never ask! Master Elite contractors make up only 3% of the total roofers nationwide. The reason? it is hard to achieve! GAF verifies the following items before granting a company the master elite status. • minimum 7 years in business – 1 year in their certified program • 99% customer satisfaction based on independent surveys from GAF • 1 million general liability coverage + proper and valid workers compensation • satisfactory rating with BBB • GOOD or better credit rating • clean banking record (no overdrafts, negative info) • clean distributor reference (means we pay our bills) • no leins, or judgements unresolved on record • good workmanship record you can see why it is almost impossible for 97% of companies to achieve even these base requirements, but still the final test is a face to face meeting with the territory managers to doubly verify all information and personally check out our previous jobs and talk to some of our previous customers. It is a true partnership with GAF, and it is fantastic for you, us, and them. It is how business relationships should be! Q. Is this an extended warranty?! A. Technically no, Technically yes. It is a factory certified roof installation. For example: If you buy a tv extended warranty and well within your warranty coverage your tv blows up. It turns out that your problem came from an electrical surge due to faulty home wiring and that is not covered by the warranty plan. guess who has to buy a new full price tv again? or even worse, a 20? tv from a garage sale because you can’t afford a new one again! If you had a certified factory warranty where the warranty provider came out and checked your electrical system and your entire system and certified that system, and the same situation happened. Then who is left with the bill at that point? certainly not you! Q. Ok How much can I really be liable for if my roof fails under warranty? A. You may be surprised. Here is a table below to outline some of the key points, if you want to see a full side by side check out our warranty comparison page. These figures are done during the roofs “non prorated warranty period” which is considered 100% coverage. As the table reveals there is much more to a warranty than meets the eye. POP QUIZ! which one is the true 100% system warranty? Standard Uncertified Contractor: 10yr. non prorated/lifetime total shingle only warranty Shingles – Covered! Felt Underlayment – NOT covered Ice & Water Shield – NOT covered Starter Strips – NOT covered Ridge Vent and Cap – NOT covered Tear Off – NOT covered Tear Off Disposal – NOT covered Total liability: 55% Roof cost Typical Certified Contractor 10-50yr. non prorated/lifetime total warranty (varies by mfr.) Shingles – Covered! Felt Underlayment – Covered! Ice & Water Shield – Covered! Starter Strips – Covered! Ridge Vent and Cap – Covered! Tear Off – Covered! Tear Off Disposal -Covered! Total liability: 0% Roof cost Q. I love it! Where do I get it and how much? A. While each roof is different and we can’t exactly give a quote over the internet, we can tell you that the price difference between the baseline roof and the top of the line roof with all the premium materials is on average 10-12% higher. Considering it can save you up to 55% of your total roof if a warranty claim is required that is one heck of a value. As far as where can you get it? Well here of course! Helping people!

    Q & A

Answers to commonly asked questions from the experts on Thumbtack.

What is a standing seam metal roof?

A standing seam metal roof may be a strong, durable, safe choice when you’re considering metal roofing installation options. A standing seam refers to the raised seam where the sheet metal roofing panels join. Traditionally, shingles and roof panels lie flush to the roof, making them more prone to rust or penetration by water at their seams. In a standing seam metal roof, the raised (or standing) seams run vertically from the roof ridge to the eaves, with no horizontal seams. In addition, the fasteners joining the metal panels together are concealed, providing even fewer opportunities for water or moisture to build up. The cost to install a standing seam metal roof will depend on the type of metal you select, the size of your roof, and the cost of roofing labor in your region. Materials will play a major role in your metal roofing installation costs. If you select standard galvanized steel, the cost per square (100 square feet) might be in the $150-$300 range, while a high-end choice such as copper or zinc could be between $1,000 and $1,500 per square. Here is one example of cost:

    • Standing seam metal roof: $300 per square to start, including materials and labor.
      • A 30-square roof could cost $9,000 or more.

Can a metal roof be installed over shingles?

Metal roofs are durable, environmentally friendly, safe and budget-friendly. If you’re considering an update, metal roofing installation doesn’t have to mean completely removing your old roof. In many cases, metal roofing can be installed over your existing shingles. Research building codes in your state, as many require that after two roofs have been installed, all roofing materials must be completely removed before a third roof can be put on. This protects your home’s structural integrity and your family’s safety. Carefully read contractor reviews and choose someone with extensive experience with metal roofing installation. One concern when installing metal over shingles is that over time, condensation can build on the shingles and cause the metal to rust. This will lead to rust around the panels, making them more likely to come loose in a storm. Nationally, the average cost for metal roofing installation ranges from $6,000 to $20,000. The wide price range represents different roof sizes, different types of metal, and the cost of labor in different parts of the country — and can also include the cost of removing an old shingle roof prior to installing the metal. As a line item, the average cost of removing an old roof to prepare for installing a new roof, plus adding new roof decking, costs on average about $45-$75 per square (the pro roofer’s term for 100 square feet), depending on the pitch of the roof. Always make sure you have a clearly written contract and a warranty on both the labor and the metal.

How much does it cost for a metal roof?

Metal roofing installation is an attractive option thanks to metal’s long lifespan, hardiness and fire-retardant properties. Nationally, the average cost for metal roofing installation ranges from $6,000 to $20,000.There are different types of metal roofs, each with their own installation needs and materials costs. Roof size also affects your metal roofing installation costs, as do regional labor rates. Roof size is measured in squares; one square equals 100 square feet. Here are some examples of the average cost for a metal roof:

    • Standard metal roof: $120-$150 per square to start, including materials and labor
      • A 30-square roof (a 3,000-square-foot roof) could cost between $3,600 and $4,500 for a typical three-bedroom home.
    • Snap-Loc metal roof: $200-$225 per square to start, including materials and labor.
      • A 30-square roof could cost $6,000-$6,750.
    • Standing seam metal roof: $300 per square to start, including materials and labor.
      • A 30-square roof could cost $9,000 or more.
    • Tuff-Rib metal roof: $250-$350 per square to start, including materials and labor.
      • A 30-square roof could cost $7,500-$10,500.
    • Mid-range metal roof package, including all accessories: $300-$500 per square.
      • A 30-square roof could cost $9,000-$15,000.
    • High-end metal roof package — such as zinc or copper — and all accessories: $1,000-$1,500 per square.
      • A 30-square roof could cost $30,000-$45,000.
