I have had two students with Boise Drum Lessons for several years. Blake was able to teach my daughters keeping them engaged and learning. He gave them the tools so they could easily assimilate their skills to constantly learn on their own. Great Teacher! James

Definitely more than I expected. Brennan is quite knowledgeable. He teaches in a way that grabs hold and sticks. I'm optimistic future sessions will be tremendously improve my understanding and skill behind the kit.

Hello. My name is Craig. I have been playing guitar, drums, and bass for 12 years. I have been teaching friends and families how to play guitar and drums for the past 3 years. I enjoy helping people learn and have more than enough patience to help anybody become great at expressing themselves though the amazing universal language of music.

Pat Flaherty has taught Drum & Percussion Lessons throughout the valley since 1980. To best capture what I am about, visit my website and read testimonials from students and parents as far back as the 1980's. I have extensive experience with performing and teaching. I served as Music Faculty at the College of Idaho and Northwest Nazarene University for 20 years. From 1980 to today I am the Marching Percussion Instructor and Composer for many High Schools throughout the Boise Valley. I have performed with the Boise Philharmonic as Principal Timpanist, as a drum set artist with most venues throughout the valley and a percussion soloist with local high school bands. In 1975 i marched and instructed the Casper Troopers when they placed 12th in the DCI Finals. Some names I have performed with: BJ Thomas, the Fifth Dimension, The Diamonds, Doc Severinson, Brian Highland, Gene Harris, Diane Carroll, the Warren Covington Dance Band, Treasure Valley Concert Band, Hymns of Thanksgiving, etc.

I have created a drum lesson course (over 9 weeks) designed for clients who have little to no experience with drums or music. This curriculum covers all the basics of proper drumstick handling, music notation, drum beats (rock, swing, Latin, metal, and punk), rudiments, drum rolling, tuning, fills, and more. In high school, I was the drumline section leader for Skyview Marching Band, rhythm section leader in jazz band and performed in the Canyon County Honor Band. I have been in several local bands and have performed live on various stages and basements. I'm also experienced in music theory, music composition, live sound reinforcement, and music production.
