Andy is a skilled and patient voice teacher. He can diagnose vocal problems and provide instruction for improvement with uncanny accuracy. When I first started voice lessons from Andy I was afraid to sing loud enough for him or anyone else to hear. Now I am a confident singer in quartets and choruses! Andy's training, experience and temperament qualify him to help any singer -- veteran or beginner -- reach the next level.
Very informative and professional and encouraging! Would recommend her to anyone interest in vocal lessons.
Lyudmila Prokazina is a professional piano teacher who has a master's degree in music offering piano/keyboard lessons for ages 2 to adults and voice lessons for ages 3 and up. She uses an amazing method that teaches more that just "piano lessons", since it provides a holistic approach to music learning, including creative movement (for young kids), singing, keyboard playing, ear training, music theory, rhythm ensemble, music vocabulary, note reading, composing, and so much more, all in a creative and nurturing atmosphere! I make sure the student is having fun without sacrificing quality playing and good technique. You or your child will be amazed at how fast this method can teach you to learn to play the piano.
I am a professionally trained voice teacher with a background and training in professional vocal studies, both as a teacher and mezzo-soprano soloist. I possess a great love for teaching music especially voice. It is, of course, my first instrument. My performance background includes musical theater, opera, sacred oratorio works, and concert performances. My professional teaching background includes vocal instructor for college and university vocal studies programs, vocal music programs in both public and private, schools, and private studio voice. I currently sing with Opera Idaho and the Cathedral Chorale. I love to sing, and I love teaching. I truly enjoy working with individuals of all ages who want to sing from the heart. My focus is on guiding each voice student in using their natural, God given voice, as their "primary instrument" for sharing love, hope and peace with the rest of the world - as a "soloist," or as a member of the "chorus." My private voice students include beginning, intermediate and advanced students and those looking for a musical outlet or hobby. This can be very rewarding for the person who has never had a chance to sing as they always dreamed they might. It is wonderful for every age, but for the serious, older adult, it can renew and rekindle a joy for living, I teach singing for beginners to advanced, from children to teens and adults who come to me with or without vocal training or experience. My expertise covers coaching for auditions, band gigs, musical theater, solo and ensemble contests, and simply for those singers who look forward to learning to sing for their own enjoyment. I have taught private voice for over 38 years, both privately and in graduate university programs. My students include professional musicians - country, jazz, recording artists, and musical theater performers, from age 9 to "99". It would be my joy to help you meet your musical goals - developing, creating, and discovering your own musical abilities and talents along the way. Music is the gift that will keep on giving throughout time. - NS

Andrew has taught private music lessons to two of my children: voice to both my 13 year old son and 18 year old daughter, and private drum lessons, also to my 13 year old. He is fantastic! His own raw musical ability is extraordinary, his musical technique wonderful, and he has natural and very strong teaching skills (which don't always accompany the first two!) My children love him, and always looked forward to lessons with him--they even practiced! I highly recommend him.
Vocal lessons in her home studio. New, clean and well appointed environment. Professional, with both academic and performance understanding of music. Personally skilled and able to communicate those skills to kids. Leads kids into many music genre's and vocal styles to expand their appreciation for music and develop their range of tonal expression. Works on developing breathing, and shape of throat, mouth and position of teeth, tongue and lips into a capable and flexible instrument. Can see a significant change in the quality and diversity of spontaneous singing around our home. Looking forward to seeing this continue to develop.
For the past 20 years, I have loved teaching all ages of piano and voice students. I would love to share my teaching and performing experience with you. I have a vocal performance/pedagogy degree from BYU and a music education degree from BSU. One unique offering at my studio is an integrated piano/voice lesson for those who would like to study both instruments concurrently. Students have weekly lessons and several performance opportunities throughout the year.
My 13 year old daughter has been taking voice and piano with Jenn for several years and loves her lessons. Jenn manages to have her working on theory in addition to learning and performing contemporary and popular music pieces. Jenn is not only a great music coach, she is also well organized. Lesson times are held to and what to practice at home is written down. We are so glad she was recommended to us!
I am a musician and a performer entering my junior year at the New England Conservatory of Music in Boston, Massachusetts. I am home for the summer teaching beginning, intermediate, and advanced lessons in music theory and voice. I teach beginning and intermediate fiddle/violin and piano lessons as well. I'm being trained at one of the top conservatories in the country and have a passion for teaching and learning. I teach children and adults of all ages.
I have 35 years of experience in teaching private piano lessons and 18 years of experience teaching group and private voice lessons. I am university-trained in both piano and voice. In piano, I teach theory along with all the major and minor scales, chords, and arpeggios from beginners to advanced students. I enjoy teaching all levels and I have a fun approach to teaching beginners of all ages. I use Faber, Alfred and Bastien lesson books, plus levels 1 through 10 classical books. I also teach technique out of Dozen A Day. Voice lessons include an emphasis on proper breathing (very important), posture and relaxation, many vocalizes (vocal exercises), technique books, diction, and many enjoyable songs to sing and practice. I am positive and patient, with one of my main goals being, to help instill a great love of music in all of my students. I expect students to practice a minimum of five days per week. Lessons are $15.00 per 30-minute lesson and $22.50 per 45-minute lesson (for more advanced students), one lesson each week. I live between Franklin and Overland in Boise close to the Meridian boundary.
I conduct singing lessons. I can teach how to read music as well as how to sing properly. I can help with finding places to participate in choirs, musical theaters, etc.
I do instrumental and vocal accompanying, along with piano and voice lessons. Also, I tutor French and Spanish.
To quote Henry Wadsworth Longfellow, "Music is the universal language of mankind." Music is a beautiful and powerful medium of communication and expression. Do you have an interest in learning how to sing? Would you like to improve your musicality and ability to perform and express yourself? Take the leap and try voice lessons. My coaching is direct and honest. I have been studying music ever since I could speak, and I have taken professional lessons in classical singing with Dr. Drew Minter at Vassar College in New York. I have experience in classical, musical theater, pop, R&B, gospel, soul, and jazz music. Singing is important to me, not only because of the joy it brings me, but also because of how it can connect people, regardless of their differences. Voice lessons can help you not only learn how to use your voice, but also improve your breathing, diction, text interpretation, and overall confidence in your abilities to perform and express yourself.
* Piano, guitar and vocal lessons * Convenient location in the north end * Private and group lessons available * Affordable prices/payment options * Over 15 years of teaching experience * All ages 3 and up Preschool (Orf Schueller music course: ages 3-5) Early music education course: singing, theater, music games to create an appreciation for music at an early age. It helps prepare children for music lessons in the future. I use a variety of methods in my teaching. I prefer Faber and Faber and Hal Leonard. They have curriculums for all ages. Faber and Faber and Hal Leonard are always coming up with new and exciting books especially for kids. CD's are included with the books which add a fun rhythmic accompaniment. I have taught for many years and have discovered which methods children enjoy. My teaching philosophy includes structure, incentives and lots of fun! I teach the fundamentals of Music Theory. This is a top priority in my classes. They will learn all the fundamentals of music such as beats, rhythms, notes, and how to read music. I stress creativity. The students learn chords which enable them to make up songs. I use an erase board, flashcards and other music games to assist in teaching. Throughout the year I have 2 theory parties and a performance party where they interact with the other students and perform piano or guitar pieces. In May every year I have a recital for all the students and adults at Dunkleyâs Music Store. They have a large recital room in the back of the store that accommodates the students and families. Each lesson is 30 minutes once a week. This averages out to be 4 lessons a month. I charge $100/month or $275/Quarter. For additional family members there is a $15 discount. That equals $185/month. Most parents that have additional family members pay by the month, not the quarter. Itâs up to your budget. For ages 3 & 4 I teach an early Music Education Course which is called the Orf Schueller Music Course. This curriculum includes singing, theater and music games which create an appreciation for music at an early age. The course helps prepare children for music lessons in the future. I charge $100/month, or $275/quarter. I give the students many incentives to make lessons fun and exciting! This takes the pressure off the parents to get them to practice. Every week in their folder they mark how many times they practiced each week. They earn a point, which equals a sticker. Each month the students get to pick something in the shop box that equals the points that they have earned. The shop box is a big green box that has different things for all ages 3-15. (Example: king size candy bars, piggy banks, magic tricks, bracelets, baseball cards, recorders). Hopefully I have answered all the questions you might have and more. Please feel free to call or email if you need any additional information. Iâm looking forward to hearing from you. My business cell phone is 863-7087 or H) 514-2676.
I can teach singing, piano, music theory, music software (Ableton and Logic), and also instrument building. I love music to my core and would like to share this with students, young and old.
