Elizabeth has taken my son from a D to a B in math. He would be struggling with it on a weekly basis. He has come back every time and is very thankful that he has used her, as he now understands the concepts that he was being taught in school. She works well with his teachers and makes sure that the tutoring lesson matches what goes on in the classroom. We could not be more pleased with her and her husbands efforts in my son's academic success.

A child introduced to the Sweet Sounds of Reading program at age 4, by the end of kindergarten, will have a 1,979 word reading vocabulary, which consist exclusively of words that he or she can decode, sound-out and comprehend; at a solid 2nd grade skill level!” … and struggling readers will have gained equally measurable literacy skills. Teaching reading correctly takes time, patience, skills and tools. It’s a slow step-by-step process that in order to achieve success, and do it right the first time, there can be no shortcuts. Sweet Sounds of Reading welcomes the opportunity to partner with you in this learning to read journey. In addition to private and small group tutoring services, the program offers parents homework, study guide and step-by-step training assistance in the reading primer series, “Letter Sounds Save Their Soul,” available on Amazon. If you would like to receive a copy of preschool student Mike’s report card, detailing his final 2nd grade reading skills, please type “Like Mike” on the subject line of your email.

Are you looking for a tutor for your son or daughter over the summer? Ricky is your guy. Any subject and any age, he specializes in higher level math. Ricky is the perfect blend of intelligence and fun. He is great with kids too. Our friends joke that we should rent him out to birthday parties! Ricky works as a tutor at Peoria High with a focus on higher level math (and sometimes science). Let me tell you that those students love him! They know he expects a lot out of them and cares about them as individuals too. He also tutors at the Kumon Learning Center. Ricky has done private tutoring for years with the students ranging from grade school to college aged. The families of these students will tell you they could always count on him. Ricky is modest, so his wife is writing this for him! Obviously, I think the world of him. I'm very proud of him and love watching him teach. Even the way he interacts with our 17-month-old son impresses me. References are available upon request. We look forward to hearing from you!

I tutor students of all ages in reading, writing, grammar, spelling, elementary math, and ACT test preparation. I love helping students learn in their own style and find their gifts and potential.

I am a current undergraduate at University of Illinois, studying material science and engineering. I achieved very high scores on standardized tests (SAT, SAT II, ACT) and am willing to teach my strategies and tips to future students.
