Wedding Planner Full Service I couldn't have better things to say about working with Rick and Special Occasion Events . We booked a full wedding planning package and MC. And Throughout the planning process, Valerie and Rick were attentive, organized and resourceful. Valerie helped to alleviate any additional stress leading up to the wedding by providing helpful tips and resources that kept me and my husband on track for our big day. She made the wedding planning process so much better. She went out of her way to accommodate us in many occasion . She make sure we were happy with every decision we made about our vendors and work professionally with every vendor. And on our rehearsal day and made sure all of our attendants (and little ones!) knew exactly what they were doing, and made it fun and enjoyable throughout. On our wedding day, I knew I had absolutely nothing to stress about because Valeri and Rick were on it. Every little detail, every step of the way. I couldn't have asked for a better planner and MC and am so grateful that we picked Special Occasion Events to help us throughout our wedding planning. I would recommend Special Occasion Events to absolutely anyone!
Hiring Shannon as our day of coordinator was quite possibly one of the best choices we made in planning our very DIY wedding. She is an incredibly professional and organized coordinator who went out of her way to make our day an absolute dream. She was so responsive during the planning process and helped us to think about details of our wedding we hadn't even considered. On the day of, she made our vision look easy. She made sure that everything went perfectly smooth and we did not have to worry about a thing. Even when we ran into a few small hiccups, like not having flower petals for the aisle delivered or running out of tables, she made it all work in such a way that we (and our guests) would never have known anything was missing. Shannon is incredible and worked so hard, but made the whole thing look effortless. She's a dream to work with and that's who you need on your wedding day.
Joe did such a wonderful job as the DJ for our wedding. He was so kind and easy to talk to, and very personable with the guests. We interviewed a couple DJs in our process and found that Joe really understood our vision and was willing to work with us on song timing for walking down the aisle and finding unique cover versions of songs. He matched all our requests, playing a perfect mix of songs from our generation, our parents generation, and current popular music. He tailored the music to the variety of moods at a wedding, from the romantic background music to the reception dancing music. Joe worked very well and communicated clearly with our venue and photographer, which is vital for a smooth day! You can certainly tell that Joe is very experienced and knows how to customize his entertainment.
Church had to set up with decorations for a wedding which was done and Marvalous job she did... Then she had to decorate the hall which they only Gave her an hour... And with that hour she worked her magic and did a BEE TEE FUL and AMAZING JOB..LOVE YOU AND THANK YOU FOR YOUR TIME, suggestions and conerns... We cannot say enough great things about Heidi and highly recommend her wedding services to any other couples! Heidi served as our wedding coordinator in September 2017 and she was worth her weight in gold so that we could have a relaxing and elegant wedding. Thanks to Heidi we were able to truly enjoy our time with all of our guests many of whom had traveled from Europe and across the US to be with us. On the day of the wedding Heidi did an incredible and efficient job running our early morning rehearsal which immediately put everyone participating in the ceremony at ease. She and her two assistants were then present at our venue throughout the day coordinating the vendors as they arrived, setting up decor, and bringing us our bouquets for photos. She even sent me a few photos of the cake and decor as sneak peeks as we were out and about all day with our wedding party. Once we arrived at the venue everything looked absolutely perfect and she even had water set up for the wedding party as we got ready to walk down the aisle (she also had water, snacks, pain killers and whatever else anyone needed!). During the evening wedding Heidi kept everything to schedule and moved the guests seamlessly throughout the venue from the ceremony to the cocktail hour to dinner to dancing. She worked closely with the photographer, caterer, and musicians to make sure everything went to plan. If anything went wrong during the day or evening we did not know about it! At the end of the wedding she and her two assistants packed up all our boxes of decor/cake/leftover alcohol and took it to our hotel so our family and friends were able to go back to their hotels or to the after party with no worries. In addition to the actual wedding day, Heidi was wonderful from day one. After we decided to work together we met with Heidi early in the summer and showed her around our venue. A couple of weeks before the wedding she also came to our final walkthrough with our caterer. We also had multiple check-in calls the week leading up to the wedding to go through final details. During the week before the wedding she was in touch with all of our vendors to introduce herself and to work out any details which took all vendor management out of our hands. In short, we had a very detailed schedule and notes of how we wanted our wedding to run and look and Heidi executed it with precision and even helped us think of details we might not have thought of ourselves. We had 60 guests and wanted a personal, professional, and elegant Chicago wedding. So many guests commented on how smoothly everything went during the day and how much they enjoyed the pace and look of the evening. We were a very happy bride and groom!
Sandra was commissioned to organize the "day of" our wedding. Being from out-of-state, we communicated by phone and email. Sandra was very prompt with her responses and took initiative to remind me of tasks that should be complete within a certain time frame. When I finally came into town and met with her, both my finace and I were blown away with her professionalism and her understanding of our vision for our wedding. The wedding day could not have been any more perfect. She had contacted all of our vendors prior to the event, and everything ran smoothly the day of the event. I had so many compliments, and I could not be any more thankful and appreciative of her work.
Donna. Was. INCREDIBLE. I hired her for our wedding of over 120 people. She was not only a bartender, but literally a hostess. Many people (even my notoriously critical grandmother) commented on how she was everywhere doing everything - making a mean drink, clearing plates, making coffee, everything - and being so kind and pleasant and joyous in the process. Plus she came by to make me (the bride) a plate of food for dinner! She helped me make the list of what I would need, and worked with the drinks and mixers I provided to make even better drinks than I imagined. I requested an additional server to support her which she easily provided, and he was amazing as well. She was worth double the price and I can't recommend her enough.
Izza and her team were the absolute fantastic to work with! My husband and I hired iMktg Services for full planning services, which entailed everything from monthly in-person check-ins, decorations, guest list, invitations and pretty much everything that you need at your big day. Izza was absolutely incredible at keeping us organized and helping us stick to our schedule. She immediately got to know us as a couple and was able to provide spot on recommendations and advice for all of the thousands of decisions that go into planning a modern christening. If you need a wedding planner, don't even bother looking further! She is one best event planner that will go beyond your expectations. (wink..wink she actually gives a lot of freebies on our event, items and services) What else could you ask for? oh wait, before I forgot, she is young, smart and has a good professional background. Too many to name it all.
Jessica and Bill were the best. They provided a lot of help throughout the entire planning process and they did an amazing job on the wedding day. We got a lot of compliments for how well organized our wedding was, and that is thanks to them!!!!
C & C sent me 2 servers and 1 bartender for my September backyard wedding for 50 people. They all arrived 20 minutes early, setup promptly, professionally attended to guests of varying ages and ethnicities, and went above and beyond my intricate instructions. I had particular plates and drinkware associated with each food and drink item and the waitstaff matched them up as-asked without the slightest hint of hesitation or complaint. In fact, they all praised my creativity in coming up with such an arrangement. The servers helped carefully assemble hors d'oeuvres purchased from another vendor and plated them creatively for a beautiful presentation. The bartender whipped up two amazing custom his & hers cocktails for our reception based on our vague recipe/preference and liquor on-hand. Our guests raved about the food setup and my uber-observant mother pointed out that she never noticed any slacking-off or inappropriate speech/conduct. Whenever I was doing something in a nearby room, but perhaps undetected, all I heard was work-oriented chatter. When a guest or two needed to be cut-off, the bartender (Cindy, I think) discreetly confirmed with the groom or a wedding party member before professionally executing the decision. She multi-tasked like a champ, simultaneously serving over 50 guests and answering old-people questions without holding up the line. As an added bonus, one of the servers, Angelica, I think, has beautiful penmanship, so when we couldn't print the food labels, she volunteered to write them out. After we saw her work, we commissioned her to write out the details on our commemorative wedding certificate and she happily complied. The lead for the day privately informed us when they had reached the agreed-upon departure time along with what cleanup had already been accomplished and asked us if we'd like them to do anything else. At that time, we decided that we could use their help for an additional hour (past the 5 they were originally hired for) and they enthusiastically agreed. When the bartender did a last-call and heard that I had only had time to consume one drink during the 4-hour reception, she took it upon herself to mix up a batch of my signature cocktail and leave it in a pitcher for me to use during the casual, on-site after-party. I can't think of any other way to describe just how helpful, positive, fast, and professional these three ladies were for the entire duration of the event. I tried to give them a generous tip, but upon reflection, wish I had given them more. I actually live in the city (Chicago) and will most certainly be giving C&C a call for casual and business events in the future. My mother was impressed as well and plans to give you a call for her annual 4th of July barbecue. I can't wait.
