We had a great experience with Chef Most Wanted. Chef Rich was very responsive to my initial inquiry and subsequent requests, and had excellent suggestions. This was an informal event our home, and Eric and Cathy did a perfect job. They arrived right on time, were polite and professional, and the food was delicious! Also, they left the kitchen absolutely clean, and neatly packed leftover food. I would recommend Chef Most wanted in a heartbeat.
They arrived early for fear of being late with the "lucky wedding" weather and patiently waited until we were ready for them to set up. When the time came, they set up quickly and used our little space efficiently. The food was beyond amazing and got rave reviews from every guest. They even provided gluten free meals for a few of our guests. They also provided for every request that I had...even at the last minute! Besides the food being exceptional, the staff was so kind, polite, and respectful to our guests and any special needs they had. I wish I could give them more than five stars. Chic Chef Chicago catered my birthday party, and all my guests raved about the food. From the start, Ravi was attentive and provided food options in a timely manner via email. He satisfactorily answered all my questions (and I had a lot of them) and reassured me that we would not run out of food, which was a concern... blame the Italian in me! There were many appetizers from which to choose, including some gluten-free in which I was able to accommodate my gluten sensitive guests. Their pico de gallo, which came with the vegetarian quesadillas, is the best I've had. It was a pleasure working with Ravi, and I look forward to catering another event with him in the future.
We chose Inglenook Catering because of their sky-high reviews, and I am so glad we did! They live up to their incredible reputation. We hired Inglenook for our wedding reception. We went with the Standard Buffet for 70 people and added an additional side. The food was delicious. Our guests were impressed across the board....even our vegetarian, gluten-free, and "foodie" friends. Also, the portions were spot on. We had some leftovers of everything so I know everyone got enough to eat. The team was punctual and efficient in their arrival, setup, and breakdown. Joe, the owner, was delightful to work with! He was warm, helpful, and patient. We had many questions and went back and forth as to which package to choose and Joe was great about answering all of our questions and helping figure out what was right for us. He was very thorough in his descriptions and we never felt "sold to." Our booking was a relatively small and simple one, but he treated us like we were his number one client. Their pricing is completely translucent with no hidden fees, and we felt we got a steal-of-deal because their food quality and service is so high. I would trust and recommend Inglenook for any event big or small!
We used Just a Bite to cater our Baby Shower and it was fantastic! Loretta was quick to respond to questions and made the process simple and free of hassle. The food received rave reviews from our guests and the presentation was absolutely fantastic. The small bites were perfect for an afternoon party and kept everyone full. Not to mention the bites themselves were delicious. The tuna spoons were a huge hit! We will definitely be using Just a Bite for future events! Highly recommended!
Lindsey prepared a buffet meal for a surprise 70th birthday party for 20 guests. Lindsey was very communicative, responsive and accommodated all my requests. She specializes in gluten-free cooking, but can do either. Her team was attentive and congenial. If you're looking for the convenience of home-cooked meals without the hassle of doing it yourself, then Lindsey is right for you.
Kirk is an AMAZING Chef and wonderful to work with. He has delivered weekly meals to us, as we are without a kitchen right now. My 10 year old has already asked if we could keep him even after the kitchen is done. We definitely will. I cannot say enough about his creative, delicious dishes. He also communicates weekly about the menu (and is open to modifications, if necessary) and is prompt with his deliveries. He prepares food to our diet (gluten free) and the fact that we want all of our foods organic, free range, etc. I look forward to continuing to work with Kirk for a long, long time.

I wanted to have a simple afternoon party without the formality of a sit-down meal, and Diana fit the bill perfectly. She made sure there was plenty of food and variety, including appetizers, lasagna and sweets trays. Many people complimented me on the food, and it was a great success. Best of all, I didn't have to prepare any food, so I was free to enjoy my own party! I've already given out her information to guests who asked.
Nikki and Frank were fantastic! I needed a caterer for Christmas dinner. Nikki worked with me to develop the menu based on our guest list... little kids and some gluten-free adults. I wanted a kid-friendly and yet sophisticated dinner, which I am pleased to say we enjoyed! The delivery and set up service was definitely worth it. I needed help cleaning up my diet and found Chef Katie Simmons via a Google search. I'm going on 2 months now and have to say that it was a life changing decision to hire Katie to cook and deliver personally made meals for me. I'm a busy professional and have found that by using her personal chef services, I have actually saved time and money (by eliminating buying my own groceries that can go bad before I can cook them) . She cooks for basically any type of diet you want or need. For health reasons I wanted to try a vegan and gluten fee diet just to see how I would feel. The results: I've never felt healthier and have lost a little fat around my middle. Katie personalizes the meals to my tastes and avoids foods that I dislike. Everything is personally delivered with easy reheat instructions and the food is delicious! My favorites so far: beet burgers with sweet potato fries, vegan/gf spinach and mushroom lasagna, vegan Shepard's pie. I also loved the Thai green curry and Pad Thai. She even delivers fresh fruit already cut up --which makes it much more likely that I'll eat fruit. Katie also lets me know which dishes are easily frozen so that I choose to order 2 weeks of worth of food for every other week deliveries. I now bring my lunch to work and as a result, many colleagues have asked about her. It's great to look forward to these guilt-free, healthy meals. Best decision I've made for a long time. Give her a try. It's not a big commitment and well worth the money.
Ender is a great chef and great friend to my family and I. We've been lucky enough to taste many of his meals. I would highly recommend him to anyone. Definitely one of the best chefs around. Great guy!!
We can't say enough good things about Maya and her team at BellaRu. We first contacted her in April 2017 for a tasting. We probably should have been more prepared when we arrived but Maya was completely professional and helped us go through our event and what we may have overlooked or not thought to include. She helped us with family and friends who were vegetarian, gluten free and dairy free. During our walk through she went above and beyond catering by helping us with logistics, floor plans, timeline, signage, cake cutting and everything else we could have potentially forgotten. Her team was courteous and professional, they set up on time and had our four courses out exactly on schedule, the food was delicious and the take down at the end of the night was quick and unobtrusive. She even offered us a ride after the wedding when we realized we had no way to get to the hotel with some large items. Thank you so much Maya for all your hard work. Our wedding weekend is still being talked about and was considered a huge hit thanks in no small part to Maya and BellaRu.
Toni catered my wedding rehearsal dinner. She managed the details so I could focus on visiting with our family and close friends, many of whom were out of town guests. I didn't worry for a moment about the meal. She easily accommodated vegan and gluten-free diets, while also keeping the meat eaters happy. The hors d'oeuvres were especially tasty, and the guests raved about dessert. We are so appreciative of the service she provided. It was a wonderful start to our wedding weekend.
Sarah prepared food for a holiday party that I hosted last year and my friends are still talking about the amazing food! The menu was well thought out and she even catered to my vegetarian and gluten free guests! I'm so excited that she is catering and can't wait to host another gathering!

Chef Jim provided a full-service catering for Northridge Prep's Career Day this past Thursday (March 9, 2017). He created an amazing menu for us that featured classic lasagna with meat sauce; sliced Italian bread with butter; house salad with a choice of three dressings; beverages of lemonade (traditional and strawberry), cold cans of pop, and water; and for dessert dark chocolate mousse profiteroles. We requested a half pan of gluten-free lasagna for those who may have needed that, but Chef Jim made a whole pan at no extra charge. He also called me a week or so before the event to say that he wanted to upgrade the bread and butter to garlic bread and to make another filling (strawberry cheesecake) for the profiteroles to offer people a choice--all for no extra charge! I, of course, said yes! He requested to arrive the day before the event to deliver serving ware and to get a feel for the arrangement of the buffet and dining tables. Chef Jim met with the head of maintenance and, after looking at the arrangement of tables, he even made a suggestion to change the way the buffet was set up--for the better! He arrived with his two assistants in ample time the morning of the luncheon, working in a calm and professional matter. The arrangement of the lunch was perfectly spaced and picture-perfect, and the look of the food was way above our expectations, and we have high expectations! Chef Jim used beautiful, slanted glass bowls for the layered salads, chaffing dishes for the lasagna (which very much kept the pasta warm throughout from the first person being served to the 135th person), baskets for the garlic bread, etc. There were varying heights to display the food, and appropriate utensils to serve each component. Everything was neat and clean, polished and shined. The food looked so elegant, and it was very much noticed and appreciated by our high school students! In addition to the great attention placed on the food and its appearance, Chef Jim also researched our school colors and brought burgundy-colored plates and burgundy and gold-colored napkins. The forks and knives were grouped together and wrapped in a burgundy napkin with a gold tie for each person to take. I couldn't help but notice that even the plastic forks and knives were the kind of plastic that looks like real silver. Every detail was planned and executed to a tee! Of course, taste is everything, and the taste of Chef Jim's meal made for a lasting impression. I was approached by many adults--and teenagers, too--inquiring who this new caterer is (this was the first time we hired Chef Jim to cater for us) and how we have to have him for our events from now on. The head of admissions said that the lasagna tasted like it came from a five-star restaurant! In fact, he outright ordered me to try the lasagna. I tried the gluten-free version, and it was everything you expect lasagna to be--cheesy goodness layered in tender pasta with a rich, meaty tomato sauce with notes of garlic, onion, and herbs. I also tried both profiteroles (Chef Jim made some extra) and wow! I could tell that they were fresh-made, as they were as light, airy, and delicate with generous, rich filling. The compliments just poured in, and I know that they will keep coming for a long time. The lunch was the conclusion of the Career Day for the students, and what a way to end! I offered Chef Jim assistance in cleaning up, but he said that he and his staff had it covered. He was a pleasure to work with, and I look forward to contacting him again for future events. We were all so pleased! Thank you, Chef Jim!!!

Look no further for the utmost professionalism and the best quality food/catering! I cannot rave enough about Michael! I hosted my baby shower at my townhouse in Lincoln Park. Most of my family is on the east coast, so the guest list was only about 20 people. I knew I didn't want myself or another guest to have to worry about cooking and a few of my guests have specific dietary restrictions so I wasn't comfortable ordering from a restaurant. One of my friends works at the law firm where Michael is the chef and passed along his information, letting me know he also caters these types of private events. Plus, she kept RAVING about how awesome his food is. Michael was so refreshing to work with from start to finish. He was responsive, detail oriented, and extremely professional (not to mention so friendly!) We had an initial phone meeting to discuss menu ideas, dietary restrictions, and theming. He got back to me with a preliminary menu (including a full ingredient list) and questions regarding what my kitchen was capable of (how big my oven is, how many burners I have, etc.) As I said, very detail oriented. He also came up with thoughtful, creative ideas for my friend's dietary restrictions so they could enjoy the "fun" treats, too! One of my favorite gluten free treats were his dark chocolate coconut tarts- totally delicious. The day of the shower he arrived right on time with everything we discussed for the final menu. He was professional and completely unobtrusive. He ensured all of the food was the correct temperature when served. He even came prepared with ingredient cards to put out with the food. Everything was DELICIOUS. But I think the best part of hiring Michael was that he left my kitchen SPOTLESS! I swear it was cleaner than when he started. Seriously, look no further for in-home catering. I already know who will do Baby Rose's first birthday party. I swear, Michael is Chicago's best kept secret.
