Mover: All Around Van Lines
Long distance move - from Minnesota to California
Kudos to sales team (Sales rep. Joshua Jackson) for an amazing follow-up, very prompt and patient at answering all questions.
Pick-up and packing was also great. The team was efficient and very considerate to pack carefully and quickly.
The problem begins when the Delivery time closes in.
I had requested for Storage specifically till a date of Jun 29th, when I was clearly explained by the Sales and Pick-up team that my shipment will not leave the Warehouse by the specified date under 'first available date'. Also, I had checked multiple times with them if there would any charges involved in pushing the delivery date further and to continue the Storage, other than or in addition to $100 of monthly Storage charges. Despite multiple queries, I was specifically told no additional charges involved.
Come the week before the first available date of Jun 29th, driver calls me up an asks for the delivery address. To my surprise they had dispatched my shipment without my knowledge even with NO Delivery address on file.
Now that I had requested Storage till 29th and was planning to extend it further. I obviously had to sign up for a new apartment in haste and could get the earliest move in date of July 3rd.
But guess what! Delivery team not only delivers my shipment 2 weeks late but also charge me with and additional $350 as the Re-delivery fee on TOP of the 1 month Storage fee that I had already paid!
So here I am writing this review to let prospective clients know how I am being charged for all the expenses incurred to the poor coordination within the Delivery/Dispatch team and miscommunication esp. regarding the Storage and Delivery Date policies to me.
Ofcourse to top it all, Dispatch Department is usually too busy to return or take your calls so don't bother even trying to reach them.
Just to highlight, No one from the Dispatch Department reached out to me to collect my Delivery Address or to confirm the Delivery Date before dispatching my stuff from their Warehouse.I was the one getting calls from a very rudely-spoken driver and then I reached out to the Dispatch department to clarify the details after 4 days of continuous attempt over phone and emails.
Well, I am not using this company in future or recommending this to anyone despite how nice and well-behaved the Sales Team was!
I wanted to give 1 star for the pathetic Delivery and Customer Service,but adding a star due to their Sales Team.
Let's see in what condition does my Shipment arrive after this delivery mess!

My move from Indiana to Florida went superb. Thanks a lot All Around Van Lines for the terrific service from the start to finish. Their sales rep explained everything to me at the beginning and the movers did deliver what they were assigned for. They showed up on time and managed the entire move to the perfection. They had the solutions of all problems and they knew how to save time and money. They never tried to experiment much, just kept the basics right, kept their cool and calm and worked as a collective unit. I did not get any chance to complain because these guys are perfectionists. They showed that long distance moves can be done within a very quick time frame and moderate budget. I do recommend All Around Van Lines.

DO NOT USE ALL AROUND VAN LINES!!
All Around Van Lines (AAVL) moved friends of mine from Minnesota to Pennsylvania. My friend contacted this so called PROFESSIONAL outfit, The AAVL sales person said it would take A TRUCK AND 3 GUYS ABOUT 2 HOURS TO LOAD AND ABOUT 2 HOURS TO UNLOAD, AND COST $2400.00 AND TAKE 2 - 4 BUSINESS DAYS TO GET THEIR STUFF MOVED TO PA. When my friends husband made the arrangements he told the salesperson that they might have a couple extra boxes that he did not inventory at the time. The sales person said there wouldn't be any extra charge. WRONG!!!.
Long story short we had moved my friends stuff from their home to a friends basement to store for a month until they could move in at Pa. Used a PROFESSIONAL local mover, it took a truck, 2 men and 3 hours to load, drive and unload.
On the pickup day (June 28) AAVL told my friends wife that they would be there to pick their stuff up between 2 & 5 PM. AAVL showed up around 3:00 (OK). The so called PROFESSIONAL movers argued that the stuff would not fit in their truck. My friend called the AAVL office and a second truck was dispatched. It arrived around 6:30. My friends had four small boxes and a stroller that was not on the inventory, the movers said it would cost an extra $2500.00 to move it. The so called PROFESSIONAL movers of the 2 trucks argued for a half an hour about loading the stuff before even lifting a finger to move my friends stuff onto the trucks. It took 6 guys (arguing the whole time) 4 hours to load the stuff that was already in boxes. (11:30 PM). Which at that time the movers told my friends it will take 10 - 15 business days to move their stuff to Pa. That AAVL would notify my friends 24 hours before delivery of their stuff in PA. Side note, AAVL failed to load 2 boxes that were on the inventory.
Ok it's an 18 hour trip from Minnesota to Pennsylvania. That's 3 (6 hour days). Why the hell does it takes 15 days? I don't know.
So my friends have been living in their new home for 21 days with out there stuff. They only cloths they had were in their suitcases and the portable crib for their son. My friend is 8 months pregnant and had to sleep on an air mattress which didnt work out for her so they had to buy a new bed.
21 days later (June 20) at 2:30 pm on a Sunday, AAVL called that they were going to deliver my friends stuff between 8:00am 120:00pm the next day. AAVL told my friends they would have pay AAVL in cash or a postal check before the movers would unload their stuff.
AAVL showed up at 11:55. The Driver of the truck said do you have the $2500.00. I cant do anything until Im paid. My friend paid him. While backing up their truck to where they were going to unload the driver hit a parked car. At that point the driver told my friend that he wasnt going to try to get any closer to his house so it was going to cost him more money. My friend told him he had already paid almost $5000.00 to move and was not going to pay anymore.
AAVL sent 2 guys, a driver and a helper. The driver refused to help unload the truck, so my friend had to help the other guy unload the truck.
Two of their bookshelves had been destroyed. A desk had a hole in it. The coffee table was splintered. Boxes that were marked as fragile which had glassware and dishes were crushed and bent, most of the contents broken. Three boxes of books had come unpacked and spilled onto the pavement.
AND THEY CALL THEMSELVES A PROFESSIONAL MOVING COMPANY! THEY ARE NOTHING MORE THAN A BUNCH OF RIP-OFF ARTISTS. DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY!!!!!!!
I took vacation to help my friends move to Pennsylvania. I drove one of their cars out for them. I was going to help them move their stuff into their new home, but thanks to AAVL that didnt happen! So now my friends (one who is 8 months pregnant) had to do it themselves.

From the moment I contacted All Around Van Lines I was made to feel at ease, I had a written quote back within the hour. I had a lot of questions and all were answered with professionalism, Eve gave me a lot of helpful hints and learning how many years experience they had I felt I could trust them with my furniture. Being busy with work it was a great comfort to know no matter what time of day I called there was always someone to help. Our moving day was made so easy, all our furniture was placed where I wanted it and all in perfect condition and I can only put it down to the professionalism and outstanding service of their staff. I would recommend AAVL to everyone and anyone I know. I am so thankful to them for making our move a pleasurable experience.

I have had some terrible experiences with other moving companies. They always make such a mess with their wrapping papers and plastic sheets, hold up elevators and annoy the neighbors. I have always lived in and out of apartments and these factors really matter in a confined building with many different occupants using the same elevator. For my last move from Michigan to New Mexico, I hired a full service van lines simply because the woman I talked to on the phone sounded very calm and professional. The crew they sent was amazingly organized and very neat. They were very quick to pack everything not leaving behind any unused paper or plastic sheets. They would gather everything in front of the elevator and then use it once for many things at a time to avoid blocking the elevator for too long. I didnt get any neighbor complaints this time and I know now which moving company to hire for my next move. Thanks All Around Van Lines for providing a moving service that actually can be called a service. I already recommend them to my friends and family.
