ve been working with Patrick now for the last 7 months and it has been one of the best decisions of my life!! I have struggled with my weight my whole life - like since the 3rd grade. I had gotten to the point that nothing else had worked and I thought that it was either this or I was going to have to finally accept that I was never going to have the kind of life and body I wanted. Patrick changed all of that! He constantly encourages me and has helped me change the way I look at food and exercise and made me realize that this is a journey, and not a quick fix. Dan provides personal training services such as putting together an appropriate strength training program to build lean muscle mass and to help establish a program that is appropriate for you. Dan educates a person about utilizing proper form with exercises and the purpose of each exercise is so an individual knows why they are doing it. Dan also stresses the importance of recruiting the proper muscles and not creating muscle imbalances to promote for an evenly proportioned and properly toned body. He provides his client with an extensive guide to wellness and nutrition. Dan goes into depth about understanding nutrition as a whole and knowing about the proper ratio between protein, fats and carbohydrates. He helps the person understand how to prepare a well-balanced meal without having to be caught up with counting calories for weight loss. Dan provides a person with the tools to be successful with individual goals but also how to make the appropriate life style changes to make the results last a lifetime. provides a person with examples of foods for protein, carbohydrates, fiber etc. and also gives a sample of what a persons meal for a day might look like. I was doing basic training. Mostly looking to increase muscle mass as well as get more explosive with my footwork and core strength. Randi did an excellent job giving me the proper exercise to help me achieve what I was looking for. First and foremost he's a great listener. He generally asks you a few questions and wants to hear REAL ANSWERS. He's not the guy that'll tell you what you want to hear, he's the guy that'll tell you what you need to hear to attain results. He makes things extremely simple and easy to follow. His workout plans were simple and extremely effective. He taught me how to lift weights properly as opposed to what I was doing before (lifting heavy weights with improper form). He knows small techniques that helped me to exercise smarter not harder. And he's got a great attitude so he always knew when to push and motivate me to get me to push through any exercise. One more thing I'd like to add: the man is extremely knowledgable on how the body works and what one needs to eat to keep the body at its peak performance. He's like a trainer/dietician/therapist all in one. The guy is awesome. I'd recommend him to ANYONE THAT'S LOOKING FOR REAL HONEST RESULTS AND LOOKING TO BETTER NOT ONLY THEIR BODY BUT THEIR MINDSET AS WELL. I recommend Randi ANY DAY OF THE WEEK. You won't be disappointed.
Our daughter has worked with Michelle and Tony in a team environment for the past year during her off season (soccer payer) to maintain fitness, flexibility, strength, speed and most importantly to prevent injury. She is 100% convinced her work with Total-U-Fitness has not only improved her overall physical condition and speed, but has really made her think about nutrition and how what she eats affects her performance.
