We highly recommend Michael, who teaches our teenage son piano in our home weekly. Michael is responsive to what interests his student, gentle but clear in terms of expectations, very encouraging and flexible about meeting times. He was recommended to us by a professional pianist who took guitar lessons from him and thought he was great.
Awesome teacher!!! I took bass lessons for a short time and he helped me learn some of my favorite songs. Patient and very funny!
I am doing guitar lessons with A major Music. So far I like the program and I like the instructors. A Major Music is convenient and affordable.
Great experience! Pete is easy to talk to and good at his job. We talked about my musical preferences and he chose songs for me to learn that he knew I'd appreciate. I'd for sure work with him again!
Mr. Kimler is a wonderful teacher. He is very knowledgeable with all styles of music; classical, jazz, and pop music etc. He is very patient and adaptable to different types of students. In his lessons, he uses various types of exercises to improve performance and spark interest.
Some music teachers are too strict and rigid. They teach only the "proper" classical methods and effectively taking the fun out of music. Others are too lax. They will show you how to play a music piece without explaining to you how it works. It is like learning to paint by numbers! Get the best of both worlds. We will begin with the fundamentals and learn to play, within reason, some of your favorite songs. Just bring a CD or iPod (vinyl and tape, too). My aim is to coach students to know the instrument, so that they can start to learn songs by ear, improvise and write music! Lessons are one on one in a studio space at one of St. Louis' best live music venues, Off Broadway, conveniently located near Arsenal and I-55. Private home lessons are also available. Experienced players who want to improve their songwriting, music theory, technique, and improvisation are encouraged to call. Let us see if I have what you are looking for. All materials are provided, and beginners are welcome! I charge $25 per hour, and offer discounts for monthly prepayment. Email or call me for more information.
One-on-one lessons are the way to go; it has a lot more isolated focus, discipline, and musical problem solving, and that's the way I teach. Individual needs will be met with individual care and an individual range of musical motion. If you're willing to learn to the best of your abilities, I'm willing to teach to the best of mine.

Have you ever wanted to learn to play the guitar? Let me introduce myself to you. My name is Earl. I am from Tennessee, and I have been a professional guitar player/instructor with over 25 years of experience and with over 6 years studying with a guitarist who played and worked with Les Paul. I have played both in the recording studios as well as on the road and have extensive knowledge of what it takes to make it in the music business. I have taught all age groups (five and up) from beginner to advanced, from homeschool students to high school and college students as well as seniors. I teach the following styles: rock, country, folk, jazz, blues, R&B, gospel, and CCM. I also strive to give my students the best learning experience teaching ear training and development (how to play by ear), the Nashville Number System, as well as theory and harmony. I keep the lessons fun and interesting, teaching your favorite songs from your favorite bands or singers. I have affordable lessons plans for everyone, with different options to fit your schedule: one-on-one lessons, group lessons, and -- don't forget to ask about -- my home lessons.

Besides being a guitarist/bassist, I'm also a music producer and have produced bands and artists in the United States and internationally, who are currently selling their albums on music stores, like Amazon and iTunes. When you take lessons from me, I focus on your goals and do my absolute best to help you achieve them.
