Both of our jobs were more complicated than we knew (our pipes go back to 1977.l), but he tackled the bathroom drain first and kept at it - not charging us for the hour it took to run to the store for the best replacement materials he could find. The new drain and stopper are beautiful and serviceable. Then he worked on the garbage disposal. (I had accidentally dropped a small screw into it and couldn’t see or reach it.) He took it apart - showed us what he was doing and explained that the screw must be lodged out of sight somehow. We thought we’d have to buy a new one, which he offered to install the next day. But when he put it back together again and tried it (we put a batch of ice cubes through it) it worked! Working fine ever since. He worked hard and patiently through the dinner hour - and we talked a little about how he came from Russia to the U.S. and all the skills he learned from his father (as well as from university). Russ is Russian by birth - still learning English. As an English teacher, my favorite author and composer are Russian. Good to talk to him. I wish him every success. My husband and I are glad to have met him and will definitely call him again."See more

I had Lal fix my sink disposal, and mount a loose sink and faucet. He was able to get me in the same day I requested, was great with confirming the time & announcing when he would be at my house, and was just about on the dot. Lal is very personable, quickly evaluated my situations, and gave me options for my requested fixes. We talked through "repair vs replace" and he clearly laid out pros & cons of both. In every evaluation he looked for ways to save me money, like working with that handy relative that is looking out for you! He worked VERY fast and OMG - cleaned the drain & sink! They sparkled :) WOW. Lal is fantastic and if/when I have another plumbing issue S&A will be the first number I call.
