  • Solutions Indoor Environmental Consulting

    (2 reviews)

Every individual and team, here at SOLUTIONS Indoor Environmental Consulting, agrees to the following: 1.) Practice their profession following recognized scientific principles with the realization that the lives, health, and well-being of people may depend upon their professional judgement and that theya re obligated to protect the health and well-being of people. In my 21 years in this industry I have seen all kinds of imaginative applications toward building audits, indoor air quality audits, industrial hygiene applications, inspections, and remediation, some of which had no foundation in science; some were nothing more than a desire to see the industry change or sell a product or service. This is wrong and can injure those who deserve more from those who profess to be a professional in our industry. 2.) Counsel affected parties factually regarding potential health risks and precautions necessary to avoid adverse health effects. In order to acheive this, one has to have a heart to serve others and be willing to invest themselves in the well-being and health of others. 3.) Keep confidential personal and business information obtained during the exercise of industrial hygiene activities, except when required by law or overriding health and safety considerations. This is a big deal! I've seen a lot of companies take advantage of their clients to get on television, for a free advertisement by the local news outlets. Your information is safe with us, and your health and safety are our primary concern. 4.) Avoid circumstances where a compromise of professional judgement or conflict of interest may arise. While we are board- and counceil- certified in many areas beyond industrial hygiene and indoor air/environmental quality audits, we do not practice anything that may be a conflict of interest. You never have to worry about our inspections being a tool for an up-sell (like remediation) or hidden hazard in the course of remediation (a remediator testing their own work). Learn more about how to avoid conflict of interest. 5.) Perform services only in the area of competence. One of the things that we understand is that one person is not an end-all of resource for everyone. That is why we provide you with a team of professionals fulfilling the needs of every component of your inspection and consultation needs. For example, a microbiologist, aerobiologist, industrial hygienist, structural drying technician, a licensed asbestos or lead-based paint inspector, and so many more may be involved, based on your needs, in order to provide competent service. 6.) Act responsibly to uphold the integrity of the profession. And, with this, we seek to represent more than ourselves; we seek to represent what's best the industry has to offer. Our desire and mission is to do this (not for personal recognition) for your assured protection and care. Seeing others empowered from a bad situation to a safe and healthy one.
