After 35 years of travel and entertaining for my prior business responsibilities, I retired early and decided that my first goal was to get into better shape. I investigated a number of personal trainers in the area and contacted references provided by Chitown Trainer before engaging them. The peronal references were all spectacular. My personal experience has been great so far. I am well on my way to achieving my fitness and post-retirement lifestyle goals with the help of my trainer. He pushes me forward in my workouts and offers positive encouragement during our periodic progress reviews. He is always on time and provides a full 60-minute workout, after which I am both physically exhausted and mentally refreshed. If something such as heavy traffic results in him being delayed, he sends text messages so that I can keep my other commitments moving forward. Very reliable, professional and knowledgeable trainer, and an important part of my weekly routine!

Dan has been training me for the past 8 weeks and since we started working together, I've seen an incredible improvement in my strength, and my figure--this week I was able to fit back into my favorite pair of work pants that I haven't been able to fit in, in a year! When I first met with Dan I hadn't worked out in literally 2 years and was really nervous about all of it; however, Dan devoted an entire session to simply understanding me, the current state of my health, my habits, and helped me define where I wanted to be in my ideal future state. Dan then put together a customized program to ensure we could get there. As a woman, my one of my biggest concern was around "bulking up" from weight training as my body type lends itself to this if I'm not careful. I shared this with Dan and despite what I was sure would happen after the weight training, he's somehow made plan that made me smaller and noticeably toned up, and definitely not bulkier! In parallel, Dan has also really helped me with my poor eating habits--I'm a busy executive with little time to care or prepare food that is consistently healthy--and I sure do love Chicago cuisine. But every visit Dan would casually ask me what I planned to eat for the week and then give me directives on best options, grocery store lists, crackpot recipes, how to store my food, when to prepare it, and even where I can stop on the way home to get what I need for the next day :). . Dan has been a God send and reinvigorated my belief that I can take care of my health, actually meet my fitness goals, and truly enjoy it. I've absolutely loved, enjoyed, and seen results from every single session with Dan. I can't rave enough about how great a trainer he is and his attention to every aspect of his clients fitness, and overall well-being!!

Dr. Fitness, Mike, is a very knowledgeable trainer, who tailors your fitness program to your needs...a good thing, as I'm over 70. Mike's fitness program for you is dynamic, and is continually fine tuned, as he gains insight into your goals, and your needs based on what he sees by working with you, and discusses with you. Highly recommended for the above reasons, and more, plus he's a good guy, and a fine family person.
Alex is a great personal trainer, I would highly recommend his training sessions. The sessions are customized and well thought out. He is great at explaining each movement and progressing the difficulty of exercises. I feel stronger and accomplished after each class. I've definitely improved since I started!
Bryce has been my personal trainer for the last 2 years and I have always enjoyed working out with him. He keeps me accountable, always following up to make sure I'm staying on track. His workouts very, and if there are certain maneuvers that are just too uncomfortable, he has enough knowledge to provide a different exercise to workout the same muscle group. He is also flexible in his scheduling to meet my availability so work conflicts don't get in the way of my ability to exercise. He has made me healthier, more fit, and I plan to continue working out with him indefinitely.

Ms. Wade gets all high marks for being an exceptional motivator, engaged & interested in my well being, professional, modifies exercises to my fitness level, a cheer leader. I'm sure if you prefer a drill sargeant she can do that too. She also explains each exercise and the benefits to keep you going. Finally, she has a pleasant personality which is truly an asset.
Being a novice in gym workouts, I decided to take help of fitness trainer, Tyrone Walton. I have attended a total of 5 early morning sessions with him till now and all of them are really helpful. He is extremely knowledgeable and has guided me through the exercises during the sessions. We do have light friendly conversations during the sessions which make them even more effective. The gym itself is very clean and rarely crowded. Also, I find workouts to be appropriate to my level of fitness. Tyrone has a very sound strategy to slowly pace yourself to muscle building. In a nutshell, I will highly recommend Tyrone's fruitful personal training sessions to others and I myself is excited to keep working out with him.
I have worked with Roy for several years and appreciate that his focus is on older adults (over 50).He provides a work out plan that will help you maintain strength,mobility,stability,and endurance. I've seen trainers who are little more than rep counters or who focus on the "pretty " muscles.Roy is so much more than that!

This review is after an initial discussion meeting and the first workout session. Diarmuid is a patient, thorough, encouraging instructor. As I performed each exercise he demonstrated or described, he complimented the parts I did correctly, then worked with me (repeatedly on some moves) to get the other parts correct as well, until I was able to do all or most of the reps without mistakes. Diarmuid not only showed concern about my health during the workout session and the initial conversation, but also in his follow up. He created and sent tracking charts, then discussed modifications after observing my ability levels for the various exercises. Although it took me a long time to decide to work with a personal trainer, Diarmuid has made me happy I finally made this decision.
Roger is an amazing trainer!! He really helped me reach my goals when I let him know what I wanted. He changed my bad eating habits to obtain better results. He was very professional and pushed me hard in every session. I really appreciate the motivation he gave me to change me life

Here it is....the embarrassing photo....the one that made me take back my body. The day I saw this photo is the day I said enough is enough. When your kid is 2, you can't use baby weight as an excuse anymore. These pictures are about a year apart. Working with a trainer has been the best decision I have ever made for myself. Drew constantly pushes me to work out to my potential. Hard work and determination pays off. If this inspires someone to take the first step today, I promise you, you won't be sorry. My body, mind and outlook i have changed in many positive ways. My journey isn't over but I am proud of how far I have come.
Trent is a VERY nice person and an Awesome trainer! He's on time, PROFESSIONAL, and I enjoy my workouts! He's concerned about any Health issues you may have...And takes that into consideration during your workout! I had knee surgery and lower back issues! If I can't do an exercise, he looks for an alternative one! He knows when to give you that extra push and know when to ease up!! Trent is concerned about your diet and what your PUTTING into your body as well! That's very important because when you eat healthy you get better workouts and faster results!! He Monitors your heart rate before and after workouts. I've been working out with Trent for several weeks and I'm getting compliments about the results already!! I mean REALLY I couldn't have asked for a better trainer!! 😊
