Initially Lynn and I contracted for her to be my "day of" wedding coordinator. We had an initial meeting a few weeks out from the wedding and both my daughter and I were so impressed with her professionalism, her warmth, and her willingness to do simply whatever was needed that we took on more hours for her for "whatever was needed." And she can deliver in many ways. A particular strength was her timelines for the vendors and the families, as was her presence at both the rehearsal and church, and reception at Anderson House in DC. She worked well with all of our vendors. During the events she was always lovely, thorough and vigilant. She stayed long after we left and cleared up lots of loose ends at the venue. Her good humor made her a delight to work with. She made our perfect day possible. Kathy
They were absolutely awesome!! They were so flexible and worked hard at helping us get a play list approved with our church. They were professional in all that they did and in all of our dealings with them. Our guest just loved them. The sound was just awesome at our venue. I highly recommend them to any one. After I decided to plan a 70th birthday party for my father, I knew I wanted something different other than just a few guests at home. After speaking with the owner of ALD, April, about what I was looking for and what my budget was, she immediately started helping me brainstorm options for locations and vendors to take care of everything from cupcake orders to banners. She even went to visit the restaurant, see the room, and speak to the restaurant event planner before I could make it over to the location. April is super organized and has timelines and deadlines for each step in planning the event and she always returned my calls and emails in a timely manner. When the day of the event arrived she had all of the materials as discussed and decorated the dining room with a beautiful black and gold theme. She provided everything from chair covers and table linens to balloons. Everything went as planned and she stayed around to make sure everything was on track. I'm so glad that I worked with ALD! They created a memorable and unforgettable event.
Tyler, thank you so much for making mine and Paul's day amazing and fun with the music and photo booth. All of our guests keep telling us what a fun time they had and how great it was that people were dancing at all times. Thank you for always being available to answer all of my questions and concerns during the months leading up to the wedding - it was very appreciated. Not to mention staying an hour later on such short minute notice because none of us wanted the night to end! The music even made my dad dance, which is hard to do and I asked my mom what her favorite part of the night was and she said the photobooth! (Not even her daughter walking down the aisle LOL) We can't even thank you enough!
Dee was very responsive before, during and after contracting with DMV Staffing. Then on event day, with 60+ Guests for a post-wedding brunch, Dee and her staff handled everything smoothly, pleasantly and professionally. They needed very little direction after being oriented at the start and just took care of the guests, the buffet and bars, keeping everything replenished and cleaned up. They cleaned up everything and left the house in perfect shape after the event. Many guests commented on how helpful and pleasant the staff was and how smooth and unobtrusive the service was provided. I was delighted with Dee and her crew. I would highly recommend them.
Working with EA was amazing... from start to finish. Their responsiveness, their professionalism and their vision--had me from day one. From the time of first contact, Shavonna calmed me and reassured me that EA could turn my vision into a reality. We hired EA for event design--and they did just that! Every picture I sent and every idea I conveyed was implemented to the fullest extent. EA received kudos from my venue and my wedding planner for their efficient manner for getting the job done, as well as the exquisite design details. When my new hubby and I were introduced, as we walked into the ballroom, I literally cried. As a bride, planning for months, you can never imagine just HOW it will all pull together--your vision, your ideas, your dreams--that makes you so very nervous. As we walked through the crowd to start our first dance, I remember thinking "it is literally dead-on...they nailed my vision dead-on..." I remember telling Shavonna prior that I couldn't imagine how all of my ideas would pull together--couldn't envision it... her response was "leave it to her--that was EA's job, that's why I hired them...so I could remove that concern off my plate" Once again...dead-on.... From the lanterns, to the Eiffel tower feather centerpieces, to the gorgeous linens to the spectacular feather bouquets/boutonnieres/corsages....I am forever grateful.... Many people tell you to prepare for something not to go right, or for something not to be perfect on your wedding day. However, I can honestly say, hiring EA will prove everyone wrong...your day will be amazing--far beyond what you ever dreamt possible--they will meet AND exceed your expectations! Our community held a St. Patrick's Day Dinner and we used N $ M Divine Cuisine & Events. Mary was a delight to deal with. Thee food arrived on Time, it was delicious. The desert trays were a variety of wonderful cookies, cakes, cupcakes, eclairs and more. Hire them. You won't be disappointed.
It was a joy to work with Jacqueline for my wedding! As the day of event coordinator, she provided outstanding service at every turn. She was accommodating to every request and concern we had and was extremely thorough and organized in getting the details worked out for the big day. I was especially grateful for how hard she worked in alleviating the stress of the bride! She made sure the wedding day ran smoothly and was exactly the way I had envisioned. Jacqueline went above and beyond and even served as our emcee for the reception (she was fabulous!). We couldn't have been happier with the service Jacqueline provided and how the wedding came together. She did an amazing job and were blessed she was a part of our wedding day!
Angie was wonderful every thing I needed she was able to provide an idea and a plan of how to make it work. I had an absolute great experience with Leslie!! She coordinated my wedding on April 16, 2016. She was very attentive and even offered great ideas for our wedding. After our first meeting, I knew in fact, she would do great things for our wedding. On the day of the wedding, there was no stress of anything. Leslie and Crystal made sure everything was put together perfectly with the vendors (photo booth and my cake vendor) and hotel staff. I hired Michele Palmer to be my day-off wedding coordinator for my 220-person wedding, and I could not be more pleased with the services that Michele and her colleague, Debby, provided! FANTASTIC!!! The wedding day-off coordination service is more that just the "day-off" - Michele came out to the venue and went over details with me a month prior to the wedding, her and Debby attended the rehearsal dinner (and patiently waited for our tardy wedding party), and Michele was quick to answer any questions I had and give me advice in the months leading up to our wedding. During the actual wedding day, Michele and Debby made sure everything went smoothly and I didn't have to worry about a thing. Michele was also instrumental in providing me with great advice regarding asking my rental company for an early tent delivery - since it was expected to rain all week prior to our wedding. This ensured that the grass under the tent was relatively dry for our wedding day. I would 100% recommend Michele and her company to any future bride. Trust me, you need the help!!!
I can not say enough about Arielle and the impact she made as my wedding coordinator! I thought I could handle everything on my own, but figured a wedding coordinator would just help the day of. Well, turns out I was very wrong. If it wasn't for Arielle I would have ended up canceling the whole thing and running to the court house. Arielle's organization and attention to detail was impeccable. She helped me plan everything down to the most minute details and it made the day so much less stressful on me as the bride and gave reassurance to all other members of the wedding. She handled all my vendors the day of the wedding. Apparently, there were some major issues that came up that I didn't even find out about until weeks after the wedding because she handled everything before it even got to me. Weddings can be so much more stressful and frustrating than you can even imagine. Having someone there to handle the crazy with your happiness as their main focus can make the most stressful busiest day of your life the fairy tail you have always dreamed of. Arielle has my highest recommendation and was worth every penny, plus her well earned tip ;) Thank you!!!!
Lisa is a down-to-earth creative party planner, who offers creativity and pragmatism all at the same time. She will make suggestions, and help you remember details, but is not pushy about it. She will help you throw the party you want. I hired her only to help with the actual party itself, and not with the planning. Then, we encountered a delinquent hotel event coordinator who wouldn't respond to my requests or provide any assistance, and Lisa ended up mostly taking over to get things done, and done right. She is all about the details, so you don't have to be. Lisa was a life saver!
Detailed Diva helped me to plan my wedding this summer and I literally could not have managed without them! I worked with Nesikah as she helped to find my venue, helped with decorating the venue, found me spa services the day of, set up beauty services, and helped to make my rehearsal dinner extra special! Nesikah is very professional,kind and calm, detail oriented, and truly knew how to help a confused and overwhelmed bride (I am very indecisive). We had done a lot of the planning ourselves, but several weeks before the wedding we thought it would be a good idea to get a day-of planner. Hiring Vanessa Young at Little Black Book Events is one of the best decisions we made. Vanessa is fantastic. At our first meeting, she opened our eyes to lots of details we had not considered and picked right up with coordinating our vendors after signing on. After another meeting, a phone call and tons of emails -- we were all set. Vanessa handled all the details on the big day and put us completely at ease. She was organized and in control without being bossy or uptight. Our other vendors said it was very easy working with her. She gave us the comfort we needed to let go of the details and enjoy the wedding. As a bonus, she found us a designer 10 days before the wedding to handle printing the programs at a good price. Hire Vanessa Young and you won't regret it. She made our lives, and our wedding, much easier.
Denise and Michelle were truly a blessing! They came in as my month of coordinators and design team. Once they started working with me all of the stress I was feeling immediately went away. I was able to trust Denise with everything and never had to second guess her decisions. She did an amazing job with keeping my wedding schedule on track. I got sooooo many compliments about how organized everything was--Denise is absolutely amazing and I highly recommend her for your big day. Michelle came up with a beautiful centerpiece and other designs that made the venue absolutely beautiful. Every little detail was perfect! Thank you so much for everything you did to make our wedding day so special!
We never had a wedding ceremony and reception when we eloped 10 years ago. Now that we had the funds, and our 10-year anniversary was coming up, we thought it would be a good time to finally have the wedding we never had. I am so glad we hired a wedding planner. We knew we wouldn't have time to research the vendors, nor know which vendor to choose, and we wanted everything to go smoothly on the day of the wedding. Tynise of Pure Elegance Events did all the work we knew we didn't have time to do and presented various vendors for our wedding for us to choose. She stayed in constant contact with us throughout the preparations, and followed up on our questions and comments via emails. We told her exactly what we wanted, and she made sure to make it happen. Even though we started the planning a few months later than normal, Tynise made everything work while staying within budget. On the day of, Tynise brought two assistants to help out the bridal party while she was running logistics with the hotel coordinator. Even the DJ commented on how she was on top of things. When everything was over, she and her assistants helped the hotel staff clean up everything that evening, both in the ballroom and ceremony room, so there was no need for us to wake up early the next day and clean up. Nothing went wrong on wedding day. Absolutely nothing. Everything was set up perfectly, and we were able to view the reception set up before the ceremony began. We also tried to help out by giving Tynise a printed layout of how we wanted things set up, a full list of the ceremony and reception items, the wedding party's names and contact information, and specific requests as early in the planning as possible. Tynise and her assistants, Amanda and Katie, were the best. Hiring Pure Elegance Events was the best decision we made.
My husband and I are SUPER EXCITED with the outcome and very careful planning of our 10 year "Vow Renewal"!! Planned by Shauna Robinson of 'Brides-to- be Wedding's. Mrs. Robinson came to our home and explained 'exactly' what "Brides to-be'- does', she was also concerned with what our expectation's were for our wedding. We were so impressed with her kindness, her elegance, her organization skills and her ability to take the stress of planning off of my plate! She saved me so much stress!!! Our wedding was Simply Amazing thanks to Shauna! She stayed in contact with all of my vendors, the venue coordinator and anyone else involved in my wedding! I couldn't believe just how organized she was...she took my stress away and assured me that she was going to make sure my wedding was everything we thought it would be, and she delivered!!! Where to begin? At first I was extremely against hiring a day of coordinator as I was convinced I did not need one. I was EXTREMELY wrong! I could now not imagine my wedding without Trina and her team. Trina is extremely organized, easy to communicate with, and thought of details that I would’ve have overlooked but ended up being so important the day of. Trina offered advice, helped me to make decisions, and used her wealth of knowledge to help me visualize that I wanted my wedding to look like. There was not a question that Trina did not know the answer to. Trina and her team were fantastic. Before the wedding she triple checked everything with me and my husband, called and confirmed with all of my vendors, and communicated with other important members of our bridal party about their role. During our rehearsal she clearly communicated expectations for the day of with all of my very large bridal party and helped everyone feel comfortable with their role in the wedding. Everyone was complimenting her and her team’s efforts throughout the night. She and her team were always one step ahead of any potential problems or disasters, intercepted any issues so that I did have to deal with them, and paid close attention to detail. The best part of working with Trina was that I was able to have a worry free evening with my guests and was able to enjoy my wedding. I knew that Trina had everything handled. One of the many reasons why my husband and I decided to hire Trina over other vendors that we interviewed was because of her professionalism, knowledge, and experience. Trina and her team worked tirelessly throughout the day to ensure that everything went according to plan. She and her team were constantly present during the night to ensure that we were calm and comfortable, communicate with other vendors, guests, and me to ensure that our day went as planned. She set up the reception space beautifully and wrangled my guests (and groomsmen) to where they were expected to be throughout the day so that we could stick to our proposed timeline. Trina was there to reassure me, hide me and my bridesmaids away from the groomsmen and groom, ensure that our ceremony music and order ran smoothly, and even made sure that the train on my dress was picture perfect before I walked down the aisle. At the end of the night Trina and her team had everything packed away and stored for us to easily transport home. My husband and I were dreading the clean-up process by Trina already had it handled. I cannot communicate how thankful I am that I decided to work with such a wonderful day of coordinator and her team. If you are on the fence or unsure of whether you need a day or coordinator or wedding planner in general, just do it! Trina and her team are phenomenal are our day was seamless because of her and her team’s effort. We would hire her and her team again in a heartbeat and heartily recommend them to anyone in the need of a coordinator. Thank you so much!
We decided to book Phoriah Events for day-of-coordination about a month before our wedding and we are so very glad that we did! Tiana started working with us immediately, she contacted and confirmed all of our vendors, she helped us create a detailed timeline for our wedding day, communicated with our venue to answer any questions from our vendors, and kept us on track for completing all the things that needed to be completed in the weeks leading up to the wedding. My husband and I had an Indian wedding ceremony and Tiana made sure that she asked any questions that she had about the ceremony and traditions so that everything went exactly how we wanted it to on our wedding day. Tiana also attended our final meeting with our venue and our rehearsal and always went above and beyond to make sure everything was to our liking and more importantly that we were not stressed and that we were enjoying the process. Our wedding day was absolutely perfect and we really do credit Tiana and her team for making all of our plans come to fruition that day. We did not have a worry in the world because we knew Tiana was there and we are so grateful for her time and efforts.
