I have ordered numerous home inspections over the past years as I am a real estate investor. I will say that out of the home inspectors that I have used, the team at nextday inspect did a terrific job! I was impressed with their acute attention to detail, noticing even the smallest defects, and their state of the art equipment. The report was rapidly delivered once they finished with the home inspection. I will be using them for my future real estate projects.
Excellent experience with Kim. She didn't pressure us at all when we started out just wanting to look at a house. When we decided we wanted to buy, she was very helpful in sorting out the details. She worked with us to put our house on the market and get the price we wanted and she put on multiple open houses to help bring buyers in. Very good customer service, no high pressure tactics, extremely trustworthy!
Months ago, I looked for someone to do a small painting project on Thumbtack. And I ended up with a brand new home. Christian, Jessica, Hector and the rest of the team at 5th Gen Group honestly do miracles. We own a 100+ year old row home in Washington DC and we've had problems ever since we moved in five years ago. After dealing with four different contractors that left me unsatisfied, I tried Thumbtack (at that time, new in the DC area). Christian came out to do an estimate and I was impressed by him from the get go - as a woman, I hate when contractors act like I'm stupid or uninformed. Christian never did that, and he answered all my questions respectfully and thoroughly and would defer to my wishes. We initially contracted for a gut remodel of our ancient kitchen and leaking bathroom. Christian's professional opinion was heavily appreciated as well as his vision - he instantly "got" the feel of a space and spent a lot of time listening to not only what we wanted, but how we would use the space and what we planned for the house in the future. Of course, the best laid plans always go awry - we knew our house had a few "handyman specials" but once Christian opened up the floor in the kitchen, we realized we were really in for it. Down there was a hidden mess of rotting wires, missing piping, garbage from the last renovations, and rotted-out beams. Overnight, our budget doubled. I personally wanted to die. But Christian calmly lead us through the process, helped us try to salvage our murdered budget, and focused on explaining the trade-off in home values. We ended up with an additional half bath downstairs (because really, what was another 5K at that point?), brand new kitchen (with a small bar!) a brand new stairwell and relocated laundry room, and a brand new bathroom with a shower (after 5 years of an ancient leaking cast iron tub). Christian isn't completely perfect - he's totally a perfectionist, and if you are one too, be prepared for some long conversations. There is an epic texting exchange over the bathroom tile that I may print out just to see how long it really was. But that's about the only thing. Also, for the other ladies on here- I always hate opening my home to someone because I have had bad experiences with contractors who were, at best, creepy. Christian and Hector were completely professional, and they really went the extra mile to make sure I always knew who would be in the house, when they would arrive, and how to reach both of them. Christian also has a lot of loyalty and integrity toward his clients - he is always fair, both in pricing and in the treatment of your home. He broke a small appliance - the only reason I knew was because he called me when he was purchasing an (upgraded) replacement on his own dime. All renovations are hard projects, long projects, and frequently frustrating. There was definitely a day when I wanted to kill Christian for sending me out to two different quarries in far out Virginia right around rush around. But when I stepped into my home for the first time, I couldn't stop smiling. And when we finally scrape together the budget for a third floor extension, I know exactly who I am calling.
Ben was my inspector and was extremely accommodating in scheduling, He took the time to explain his process and to explain issues that he identified as he went through the property. He provided a final report within 24 hours of the inspection that was easy to understand and was inclusive of all of the items that he discussed throughout the inspection process. He also provided useful information on home maintenance and inspected areas that other inspectors may not include in their process. Ben was very personable and I would recommend his services to anyone. Well worth the cost for the services provided and for the peace of mind that it provided for my first home purchase.
Paul inspected a damaged rafter and assessed our attic joists for feasibility of adding an attic storage platform. Paul explained the repair method for the damaged rafter, he identified all of the load-bearing walls that could be used to support the new attic storage, and he provided a detailed plan of just how a platform could be installed. He spent time with me on-site giving verbal advice, and he sent a full written report afterward along with several detailed drawings.
Patrick explained a lot of things to look for during the walk-thru with the on-site supervisor of this newly built house. His responsiveness was excellent in contacting me to schedule an appointment and his arriving 30 minutes early. He knew a lot about the business because his being a former and retired builder. He provided a report that was easy read with suggestions of concern and/or repair to the builder. This is a newly constructed house and I've learned during the years I have owned several newly constructed houses, that these houses need to be inspected, too. It is for this reason that I hired Patrick's Home Inspections. Would definitely recommend him. :)
A great agent to work with! She is patient, caring, and has lots of knowlege of the market. She will keep you informed and get you the best deal. I definitely recommend her.
I am a realtor and my client needed a home inspector at the last minute because the one she selected cancelled. I contacted SafeSales. Mr. Cheek came and did an excellent job! He was professional and explained the homes major systems in layman's terms that my first time homeowner could understand. I have since referred Mr. Cheek to other clients who have been very satisfied. He makes me look good as a realtor and they have all thanked me for referring him.
We had a termite infestation and Green Pest was very attentive and responsive to our needs and concerns. They were very flexible working around our busy work schedules, to the extent that they sent a technician over on Sunday to assess the problem. They always showed up on time, were very professional and explained in detail the treatment, how termites work, and answered all our questions and addressed all our concerns. They were very responsive, and continuously demonstrated that they cared about our problem. We were so pleased with the Termite treatment that we also signed up for the quarterly treatments. All of their technicians I’ve had the pleasure to work with take great pride of what they do, and are focused on client satisfaction. Special thanks to Kory, Oscar, Kevin, Alex, and DJ for their honesty, hard work, exceeding expectation and being cognizant to our concerns. A very Satisfied Customer.

Mike explained every aspect of what he was going to do before the inspection and what to expect. He took his time and is very knowledgeable about the process. When he was done, he went over all of the concerns, even if they were minor. He left no stone unturned and was very thorough, taking almost 4 hours to inspect the home. His attention to detail showed throughout the report. He takes pride in his profession and would recommend his expertise again!
My wife and I were recommended to LaKisa by a mutual friend. We really had no idea what we were getting into renting our house as we relocated. LaKisa was always patient, explaining every detail so we could understand, the entire tenure of our rental. She made sure we knew what was going on, and her professionalism is second to none. I have, and will continue to recommend LaKisa Taylor to anyone who is in the market for a realtor or property manager. You can't go wrong!
I am deciding how to manage my Dad's house now that he is in assisted living. No one in my family is in the Northern Virginia area. Mr. Nesbitt was the first to respond to my Thumbtack request. He did an excellent job of reviewing options, strategies, alternatives and the pit falls of each course of action. He also provided me with an estimated value of the property by email. I found Mr. Nesbitt to be very knowledgeable and helpful without concern for his own gain. Many thanks!
The services provided by celes as my real estate agent has been amazing. She helped me through my long and tedious process to obtaining my house. I have fell in love with her and super happy

Shannon is a great realtor that really has a passion for what she does. She sold our condo in 1 week and helped us find our perfect house for us. She is professional and knows a lot about the market. I would highly recommend her if you are wanting to buy/sell/rent.
Excellent! Excellent! Excellent! I couldn't recommend Greg enough. He was extremely patient with us while going through the house hunting process. Extremely knowledge and as first time house buyers that was very comforting having someone who knows what they're doing and been through the process multiple times. He works with your schedule and makes himself available for you. Again I couldn't recommend Mr. Dudley enough!
