Elmo is exceptional at capturing unique, special and genuine candid moments. He patiently worked with us on our outdoor wedding day on an extremely chilly and windy day. We needed pictures taken in a few settings that involved tricky lighting, included two kids and some were taken in our apartment which is very small. All of our wedding pictures turned out so incredible and are exactly as we would have liked--not super staged and stiff but instead reflected our personalities and the love we share for one another. Elmo went way above and beyond what we even imagined and we are so thrilled with our wedding photos. Elmo also has such a calm demeanor and I would imagine for bigger groups, he would be so skilled at getting people to work together to get the perfect pictures.

Tobasko Entertainment ran a top notch operation. Out of all the wedding vendors we worked with, DJ Tobasko was one of the easiest and best to work with. He had a extremely professional operation, was flexible with us, and very accommodating. He had very reasonable prices as well. His set up at the wedding reception really helped pull it all together. We used Slable for DJ and up-lighting services and they were one of our most responsive and responsible vendors for our wedding. Our wedding was in DC at the Carnegie Institution for Science. Slable took the time to meet us before making a decision and during a venue walk-through (we wanted to be sure they were comfortable with the acoustics and high ceilings). The team was very professional and the value/cost relative to local DC DJ & lighting providers was much better with Slable. The team really worked with us regarding the lighting and DJ setup and were able to accommodate on-the-spot lighting color changes during setup in the dining room from our original choice. Throughout the night many of our guest were commenting how much they loved the music and Slable kept the party going until the very end. I strongly recommend the Slable team for your wedding.

Steven from Capital DeeJays provided the music for my daughter's wedding in Loudoun County. He was professional, courteous, and played an appropriate mix of music for dinner and dancing, bringing family and guests of all ages to the dance floor. He also provided lighting to set the right ambiance, and did a great job MCing everything all night. The whole night went very smoothly, thanks in no small part to Steven's top-notch service. Great experience, from start to finish! We hired them for my parent's 50th wedding anniversary party (5 hours total). Vinny was responsive, professional and great to work with. Josh did a fantastic job capturing our wedding and wedding portraits. My husband and I are rarely in front of a camera and are the ones who inch away when a camera gets pulled out. Josh was accommodating and made us feel more relaxed on a day when my anxiety was through the roof. Rev.Diane Hirsch officiated our wedding two weeks ago and I am so glad I came across her page on thumbtack. She met with us prior to the wedding to get a sense of who my husband and I were. DJ Repeatable DJed and MCed my wedding. I have worked with a few DJs before, but not one that was willing to work so close with my bride and myself to make sure that we got exactly the playlist we wanted. He made sure he knew our party's name pronunciations in advance, the schedule for the whole evening, and the music that we did not want to hear played. He was able to read our room well to get both the old folks and the younger crowd on the dance floor. DJ Repeatable was super professional, easy going, and new how to make our party a blast, from the ceremony through the reception. I would highly recommend him to anyone.

Wow I cannot begin to express my gratitude for the service that I received from Anthony Herbert. My husband (fiancé at the time) and I hired Anthony to be our photographer for one of the most special occasions of our life, "Our Wedding". Your wedding is a day where you want everything to be absolutely perfect, especially your photos. We had previously seen some of Anthony's work and I told my husband I want him to be our photographer. His pictures were so impressive, from the color, to the clarity of the images, the sharpness, the poses and those special moments that he captured were just breath taking. Anthony Herbert conducted himself with such professionalism, he was kind and respectful and made our day, one we will never forget. He was with us our entire wedding capturing ever special moment of our day, and the pictures speaks volumes about his work. My husband and I were literally speechless when we saw our photos, and It takes a lot to impress my husband, we could not put our photos down for hours, they were simply amazing, simply beautiful. Every person we showed our photos too and I mean we showed a lot of people, the 1st thing they asked who was your photographer. I have had many people say our photos should be in art galleries, or in magazines. I first met Winstead in July or August 2013 when I walked into a salon in need of some hair attention. While Winstead was working he had a video playing at his work station that showed him doing professional makeup, photo shoots and hair. I was impressed by how professional the video was and remembered feeling so blessed that I lucked into being in the chair of this "well kept secret". He did a fantastic job on my hair. Fast forward to mid October, 2014. My wedding was scheduled for Oct 25th and I had been functioning under the incorrect assumption that my daughters would help me with my hair and makeup. They finally convinced me that this event demanded the attention of a professional. I got a hold of Winstead and asked if there was any chance that he could find time to do my hair and makeup on the morning of my wedding? He was very accomodating and came to my hotel room at 7:15am with a mobile hair and makeup setup. He immediately turned on very soothing music to help me relax and less than 90 minutes later I looked absolutely incredible!! I highly recommend Winstead for ANY hair, makeup, photography or videography needs. He is absolutely amazing and northern Virginia is so lucky to have a professional of this quality!! I would not hesitate to call him again.

How much do day-of wedding coordinators cost?

A day-of wedding coordinator makes sure that every detail of your wedding day goes off without a hitch, and deals quickly and quietly with any last-minute emergencies. For many brides, the day-of wedding coordinator is their best investment! The average national cost for a wedding coordinator is $800 to $1,000. Although full-service wedding coordinators often charge a percentage of the total wedding budget, most day-of coordinators charge a flat fee plus an additional hourly fee if the day runs long. What should you ask a wedding coordinator?

When you hire a wedding coordinator, you want to make sure he or she gets you and can execute perfectly your vision of your dream wedding. To find the very best fit, it’s important to ask these five questions:

  • Are you available on my wedding date? If the coordinator isn’t available on your big day, there’s no reason to continue the interview — unless you’re willing to shift your date to accommodate their schedule.
  • What’s average cost of most of your weddings? If the coordinator’s usual wedding is outside your range, they might not be the right coordinator for you. Ask whether the coordinator requires a minimum wedding budget. In general, the wedding coordinator’s fee should be about 15 percent of your budget.
