Larry is the third guitar teacher I've ever had. The first two were in the classical style, and I was seeking a teacher to teach me electric/metal techniques and somebody who would be willing to teach me theory in the guitar to help me be able to start composing. Larry has gone above and beyond the call of duty, and I have never had more fun or learned more from an instrument teacher, I highly recommend him !!!!!
I have played guitar since I was 12 and am now 64. When I decided to expand my knowledge of the guitar and improve my technique there was only one person in my mind to go to, Jimmy Dykes. Jimmy' knowledge of all styles of music, his knowledge of reading, his knowledge of the fretboard is as good as it gets. His passion for guitar and the desire to pass this on through teaching makes him an outstanding instructor. I have recommended Jimmy to anyone who wants to take lessons on guitar or bass whether they are beginners or someone, like myself, who have played for a long time and want to take their playing to a higher level and expand their horizons.
Enjoyed these great guitar lessons while I could!
I've been taking guitar lessons from Jay for about 1&1/2 years! Because of Jay's teaching method and patience, I have more than surpassed all expectations I had about being able to play the guitar. My goals were to learn how to play the guitar if I could and have FUN doing it! Jay's method, 'Vertical Truth' is easy to comprehend and with Jay's help I am playing more songs than I could have ever imagined. Also with Jay's help I have been able to begin transferring what knowledge of music theory I have from playing other instruments to the guitar! Simply put, Jays method of teaching is designed to help each student at their own pace as no two individuals are the same! 'Vertical Truth' is a fabulous way to learn how to play the guitar and Jay is a GREAT teacher! Thanks Jay!!!!👍
I am an adult student, having had several previous years of classical lessons with other teachers. I have just begun lessons with Tatiana and have found her very easy to work with. I was immediately impressed by her extensive knowledge of composers, types of music, theory, and analysis of pieces of music. From my very first lesson I learned several things and know that continued lessons with her will only help me improve in technique and understanding music better. I am looking forward to learning more from her. And, of course, she plays most beautifully! I heartily recommend her.
My piano lesson instructor is so kind and friendly, patient, knowledgeable, and encouraging. I am having a blast learning my first instrument and would highly recommend her.
I have had two lessons with Scott and I am having a great time. We communicate well together, and he has a lot of knowledge and experience that he can pass on to me. I expect to continue my lessons for quite some time. Scott was a great find for me.
I've been taking guitar lessons for a couple months now and I've grown exponentially as a guitarist. It's a nice and friendly environment, and they have teachers who actually know what they're doing. I would recommend KC Music to everyone looking to become a better musician.
Dave is a kind and engaging teacher. His philosophy and approach make learning the guitar as an adult less daunting. I can easily see why people of all ages enjoy their lessons with him.
I have worked with Michelle both as a parent and as a student myself. She was my daughter's piano teacher from the age of 6 to 11. During that time she took my daughter from a beginner to playing difficult classical pieces and college level music theory. This foundation supported her all through her musical career and she now plays 7 instruments and writes music (she is 19 now). I came to Michelle wanting to realise my lifelong dream of singing. She both encouraged me when I was insecure and pushed me past my self-imposed blocks. Ive worked with many other teachers over the years and not one of them gave my the technique or the confidence that Michelle did. Additionally, she incorporates group work shops & recitals that are not just for showing off. She uses these as tools for learning by observing our peers, and confidence builders in the safest space inaginable.
Megan is a great instructor. I like that she tailors the lesson to what you want to learn. I have taken guitar lessons from other people but Megan is by far the best guitar teaching I have had.
I've been taking sax lessons from John for over a year now. He's great and has the patience of a saint. I took up music a little later in life than most and he has helped me figure out theory as well as play music that brings me great enjoyment. I would recommend him for lessons to anyone interested in sax or clarinet.
Kenny is very friendly and explains concepts in ways that are easy for beginners to understand. Would recommend to anyone looking to pick up guitar or just build on what they already know.
A Major is professional very flexible and accommodating, good value.
My slogan is "Making connections count." I am a skilled signer/songwriter and enjoy giving guitar and singing lessons. I am also skilled at helping grow their social media presence. My background in theater and english also allows me to teach or tutor actors or anyone trying to hone their writing and speaking skills.
I am a one man business. My prices are affordable if not negotiable! I'm young (19 to be exact) so I'm not very different from my younger students. I have taught before so I have experience and know what I'm in for.
I am based in Kansas City. I have a bachelor's degree in audio engineer and studied at Delta Music Institute. I am 30 years old and have been playing music for 15 years. I am an advanced guitar player who loves to teach as well as learn. Let me help you get started and accomplish your musical goals.
I am an aspiring guitarist and a people person. I love playing the guitar and would love to help you start playing or improve your playing! I am 19 years old and have played for almost eight years now. I took about two-and-a-half years worth of lessons and have self-taught since. I am most suitable for teaching beginners or intermediate players and typically people around my age or younger (kids too!), but I am open to just about anything! I play and teach mostly blues, country, pop, and some rock! I want to tailor to my students. I want to teach you what you want to learn, and I will steer you in the right direction to being the guitar player you want to be. I will teach you everything you need to know to get started. Give me a shout if you're interested!
I have been tutoring for quite some time. I am very proficient in most styles. I enjoy teaching beginners.
I play guitar in two of the Midwest's most celebrated bands, and for the first time, I'm going to teach people who wanna learn hard, edgy rock-style of playing.
I teach folk, pop and classical guitar, English as a second language, and beginning writing to reading. I always use the techniques of Interest-Driven Learning, making certain that all lessons are connected in some palpable way to learner interests.
