After being without a computer for over a month and troubleshooting with Dell customer service with no solution. I was still unsure what was wrong with my computer, but felt certain it was a virus. John assured me he would do all he could to recover any documents or pictures I had on my computer, which he did. Fortunately, I didn't have a virus but in need of a new hard drive and cd drive which John installed. I picked my computer up within 4 days of dropping it off. I was completely satisfied with the level of customer service John provided me. John kept me updated on the progress and the cost. I definitely would utilize John's services in the future and will recommend him to anyone in need of computer repair. John is very knowledgeable and gave me suggestions on a future printer purchase. Thanks John!!

We recently moved to a different home. My husband is very ill and was unable to get the computer system and the TV system set up after the move. Mr. Jackson went above and beyond to install both systems. He was so efficient, professional and kind. We highly recommend him!

Any time you have repair work done in, or on, your home and the repair person does a great job, at a fair price, and is honest about what the problem is, that person will have all the business he/she can handle and you'll find a lot of comfort in having a person you can trust. Such a person is your KC Techfriend, Rob!

I appreciated being able to talk to technical support via 'chat' on their web page. The service was first rate. I got the information I needed about repair of my IPad2 (I had shattered the glass) so ordered the repair. They sent me a mailing label and instructions via e-mail. The repair and return to me was quickly accomplished and I am very happy with the results. I would highly recommend the services of this business!

I had my PC on during a thunderstorm & the lightning had knocked out my computer. It had destroyed my hard drive, which had, among everything else, baby pictures & home video's of my daughters. We gave them up for lost because they were all taken with our digital camera & we had no back up's. Erik was able to get into our burnt out drive & extract several picture's & video's that were no destroyed when our drive had burnt out. Being at the time I was completely PC illiterate, he'd also informed me that there was a such thing as an external hard drive, lol. As sappy as it may sound, we were going through old pic's of my girl's here a while back & I was so please to find those old pics & especially the baby/toddler video's of my children, that we would have probably never recovered if Erik hadn't been able to do his magic with the burnt out drive. All & all, we haven't run into any PC/Mac issues over the year's, that Erik wasn't able to fix, or offer advice to easily correct the issue ourselves. I highly recommend him!!!

Mr. Rissler was willing to track down parts and repair my well-loved but discontinued laptop. He also extracted my data for me so I have it while he waits for the parts. It's not a quick job and most computer techs wouldn't bother. He's a nice man and has been mindful in keeping me apprised of his progress.

I needed some repair work done on my laptop for school and had important documents I couldn't afford to lose. I took my macbook to the genius bar, they quoted me $750 to repair and I would loose all my data. Brandon was able to not only repair my laptop for $200 but was able to retrieve all my documents, pictures, and files. He was an absolute lifesaver totally worth using his services.

I was in doubt about ever getting my MacBook up and running again. Talked with Nick on Thumbtack And he said he could fix it. I thought it was worth a shot so he came to my house and met the family. (Lol) He sat down and was determined and very patient as he worked on my computer and explained things as he went along to me. I was so amazed by his knowledge about the Mac or computers in general. He did It! WOW! He did It! My Mac is running like new again. I cannot thank you enough Nick for fixing Mac. Your brilliance and personality will take you far my friend. Keep up the good work. Sincerely, Aseneath S.

About

What I can do for your company: In addition to the day-to-day activities of desktop support, I can be the mediator between your desktop users and your technical staff. In my work on the help desk, I had customer satisfaction scores in the high 9s (1-10), so I know how to reach out to users. I have Microsoft MCP, CompTIA A+, Network+, Security+, Server+ (2004 and 2009), Project+, i-Net+, e-Biz+ and Dell DCSE certifications. I know how to talk to the help desk, the network administrators, the DBAs and all the other people who support your users with their IT needs. I can be especially effective if you outsource these critical functions. I can do this because I have worked on a help desk doing phone and remote support. I have been a network and LAN administrator. I have built servers and deployed laptops and desktops. As a computer lab supervisor at a large community college, I have managed the efforts of 12-15 lab aides per semester. I recruited, trained and scheduled the aides for 14 labs on three campuses. I also scheduled open and classroom labs for instructors and inventoried and ordered supplies for the labs. I was an Award for Excellence winner for my work. I have done warranty repairs for Dell accounts, so I know how to talk to other repair technicians servicing your warranted equipment. My goal is to provide the best help desk and desk side support your organization has ever experienced. My specialties are Windows XP and Server 2000-2003, Windows 7 and 8, MS Exchange, Apple Macintosh OS X, VNC, RDP, GoToMyPC, Ghost, Altiris, VMWARE, Sun VirtualBox, MS Virtual PC, Blackberry and Pocket PC, active directory administration, software and hardware deployments, break/fix, MAC (move/add/change), troubleshoot, Lotus Notes client and MS Outlook, Zimbra and Exchange e-mail server administration, tape and disk backup software, Remedy, Onyx, Spiceworks ticketing, Polycom video conferencing and POS terminal/servers. "Just wanted to drop you a note to let you know we think you are doing a tremendous job at our location. We're not used to the service level you are providing and it's refreshing. Thanks again and keep up the great work." Anixter Reno Warehouse.

Macbook Pro 15" early 2010, upgraded option. Green tea with honey spilled on part of the keyboard roughly a year ago.. Following a week desiccating in a box of rice, computer operated again as normal (apart from slightly sticky keys, a tendency to overheat and thus excessive fan noise, as well as the clear sound of a floating kernel of rice that somehow made its way inside the computer during the rescue operation..) Tonight, after accidentally allowing the battery to drain completely, it will not turn back on. When plugged to the power adapter the light does not turn to amber, and it begins to make a strange incessant noise coming from the upper right hand side. (cross between a ticking clock and skipping CD) with the sleep light flickering. Totally unresponsive. Please help me! I know i have been a very bad girl, but I love my baby, even more than my car. Also, price is definitely an issue for me right now, as I have recently just finished getting my graduate degree in Molecular Medicine overseas, but as of yet am currently employed and roughin' it.
