In April my tensnts were moving out. Since I live in Florida and my house is in Rhode Island, I decided to get a property management company to take care of the property. I contacted Lyon property management and spoke with Jim. He had someone renting my house in May, to my surprise. I am very pleased with the company. They've kept me informed as to what is going on and I get my checks monthly with no problems. I would definitely recommend Lyon Property Management to anyone who needs a property management company.
YIF Management is first class when it comes to property management. I have been renting in Boston since 2003 and have never had such a positive experience as a tenant since becoming a tenant of YIF Management. I moved into one of their properties in 2009 and have lived in 3 different units they manage since then and will be renewing my current lease. Everyone on their team is amazing from the maintenance staff, leasing staff to the hands on owner and property manager. Any maintenance issues are addressed right away with such professionalism and friendliness. I never hesitate to make a call to them and know they will be there to address the issue. I recommend them so highly that have had other friends move into their properties and all have thanked me for bringing them to a property management company that truly cares about their properties and tenants. If you want a place to call home in Boston, a property managed by YIF Management is the way to go!!

They provide building management services for our 16 unit condominium. I am the Treasurer of the Condo Board. I've been throughly impressed with the level of service that they've provided. We had problems with our previous management company picking very expensive vendors to work on the building, we'd be given a choice of 3 expensive firms and choose the most reasonable. Ive found Hochi and Mairicio great at fighting for better pricing from vendors, they will often send a list of vendors to the Board and tell us that they are not satisfied with the price they were given, they will often come back and get a better offer from them or someone else. When we began the process of finding a new management company, we had Invector come in and look at the building, I was immediately impressed with their practical approach of improving the building. We have followed their suggestions on several projects, including switching to motion activated LED building lights, which is not something our previous company had suggested despite our soaring electric costs. My only bit of negative feedback would be that the operation seems to be run by a handful of very hard working people, which is great for keeping costs low, but if someone is on vacation I'm not sure how they cover their duties. With that said, I've found them to be far more responsive even while away than what we were used to. I've given them only 4 stars because I figured it would increase the likely hood of the review being read. I'm very happy with the cost and service that Invector has provided. Sean C.

Paul has been extremely professional to date. While we were waiting for our apartment to rent out, he had to coordinate several things for us and as a result make several trip to the apartment. Even though we offered to pay him, he refused. He hand picked the perfect tenant and has been paying us the rent on time. He has always returned our calls and addressed any questions/concerns we have had. We hope to have a long and fruitful business relationship with Marquis Management.

The Hofeller company managed my condo association for many years. I was very pleased with their service. Many years ago when I was out of town, there was a water backup into my apartment. The owner, Ed Hofeller, was here around midnight to make sure that all was getting cleaned up properly. I heard that he was equally attentive to other unit owners in after-hours emergencies. The man assigned to manage our property, Bob Glavin, is very knowledgeable about the building's infrastructure and gives his immediate attention to any emergency. They also have a man inside the office, Mark Sheingold, who is almost always there during working hours. I have had excellent and fast service from him. He answers my emails almost immediately, is aware of issues I ask about, finds out the answers when he isn't aware of the issues, and always, always get back to me in a most timely manner. Besides, they are all nice.
Steve Hornsby was very helpful in the transition process...going from developer management to a professional property manager. It was hard making the decision to give control over to an outside party but in working with Steve we feel it was the right thing to do. Steve is knowledgeable, caring, and confident in what he does. He has many contacts that are advantageous to the small condo organization.
We hired Mount Vernon several months ago to be the property manager for a six-unit condominium in Dorchester. Our main point of contact has been Ken Olson. I am extremely pleased with Ken's work so far. He has done an excellent job communicating to our association members, assessing maintenance and capital renewal needs, preparing quotes, and managing our accounts. When I had accidentally overpaid my condo fees, he noticed and reached out to me pro-actively. He has helped our association navigate through a number of problems that were ignored or created by our previous management company. I just hope, for Ken and Mt. Vernon's sake, that our building will be easier to manage once we get through the time-consuming initial challenges that came with the transition from a bad management company to a really good one.
