I basically asked Bulent to do a miracle, and he did it! I wanted to sing a song at my best friend's wedding, but have a terrible intonation and basically no former musical education. In a few lessons Bulent explained me the basics of singing and helped me to prepare the song. The result was great! I had so much fun that after this experience, I think I will keep taking classes with Bulent. Absolutely 5 stars!

Working with Bren was a new and an amazing experiment. Before I met her I was a little clueless on what is was that I needed to work on and how I can improve my performing skills. I first went to Bren with a feeling of confusion and was lost on what my next step should be, and over the summer when I took serval private coach classes with her I started to grow as an actress and leaning what it was that I needed to improve. Bren has taught me so much about not only in performing but also in the acting business and it's thanks to her that I now have the a clear mind on what is it that I need to do to continue on growing. I highly recommend working with Bren for any teens/ or adults who feel as though they need someone to help them out and give them knowledge on growing with their skills and taking it farther, and I've diffently know she is a great coach to work with.

I have been taking voice lessons from Julie Kinscheck for over three years now and am very pleased with her as a teacher. I have a very busy schedule as a manager and she has been very flexible in making the lessons happen. These lessons have built my confidence and inspired me to perform more often because of my growth as a singer. I enjoy singing in the regular student recitals. I appreciate her patience helping me to learn to read music, improve my breath support, tone and more. She also has a good listening ear when I need to talk. She motivates me to want to practice to be my best. I also see she is an excellent role model for her younger students, always willing to expand her own horizons by learning and then teaching them songs which they want to perform. She genuinely cares about her students and takes a personal interest in their lives. You can tell she has a passion for teaching. I highly recommend her!

A perfect match for my 15 year old daughter taking singing lessons. Amanda's knowledge, talent, and enthusiasm are contagious. She has fostered my daughter's confidence and developed her singing skills. I highly recommend Amanda. You become part of her singing family and she gives more than 100% of herself each lesson. I wouldn't go anywhere else!

What an excellent teacher--I am an adult voice student and I have learned a lot. Her comments are very helpful and respectfully given. Plus I have learned wonderful music and have enjoyed the lessons immensely. Lenae is the accompanist for two groups I sing with: the Broad Cove Chorale and the Unicorn Singers in Hingham MA What a demon pianist and organist--and singer who can fill in whenever and wherever she's needed Nothing she can't do! Our daughter, Serena has been taking music lessons since she was 5 years old. She started working with Christie about 3 years ago. Christie has transformed her into a beautiful singer and song writer. Serena was nervous and shy to get up in front of anyone and now she sings in front of huge audiences and signs up for any show she can find. Her progress is attributed to Christie's hard work. Christie recognizes my daughter's strengths and helps her find the right music to challenge and showcase her voice. In addition Christie is dedicated to her students in a way I have not seen before; she is an amazing educator and musician. Her love of music radiates when she talks with the parents and children. Christie is also very reliable, always there for lessons and diligent about make-ups. I highly recommend Christie as the best music teacher. We feel blessed to have her teaching our daughter.

I am very happy to make a recommendation of Stanley Wilson as a voice teacher. My daughter has been taking weekly lessons with Stanley for over 3 years. Stanley has been an excellent teacher to her. She started from 7th grade when she really loved singing but was too shy to sing. But with coaching, and many practices, rehearsals and recitals, she developed her voice and strong confidence within one semester. Now she sings often, which is what she loves to do and I love to hear. As Stanley's student, she participates in events of A Worcester Schubertiad, a chamber music organization that Stanley leads, which is great for her. I too have been taking lessons with Stanley for over a year. Class time is distributed between techniques and practicing an actual piece. I am learning many techniques that help me improving and enjoying my singing. I like to think that my voice has developed substantially over the year. Stanley's students range from professional singers, to choir members, to recreational singers like myself, from middle school to retirement. While he is an accomplished vocal artist in classical singing and opera, he helps develop vocal techniques for students in diverse singing genres. Because Stanley is flexible in his approach, a new student should feel comfortable starting with him. What should also help is that Stanley is punctual and very professional in managing his teaching schedule. As importantly, his studio is located in an excellent location in Worcester where parking is never an issue. I have benefitted from and enjoyed my learning experience, and I highly recommend Stanley as a vocal teacher.

Jacque is one of the most phenomenal human beings I've met. Her singing and teaching ability are in a class by itself and she can show you things that other vocal coaches can't. Her methods of incorporating yoga poses and martial arts concepts into vocal training is unparalleled, innovative and yields quality results fast!

Our son started piano lessons with Robin at 5.5 years old. When choosing a teacher my main concern was finding a teacher who could provide a positive and encouraging method to motivate a young learner, not baby him, and not be so strict that he was scared or turned off from music. After 6 months of weekly practice, I have discovered that Robin not only met the goals, but has far exceeded them. The lessons are strict, which is necessary, with a little guy, but in a very positive light. Robin is joyful in her methods. You can tell she really enjoys teaching. And it shows with our sons new ability. He is already playing songs that include sharps, multiple hand movements, and songs with eighth notes, all while singing in pitch. (Added bonus). I was thinking he'd be at twinkle twinkle little star. Instead he is the little star. Our son has said, thank you for bringing me to piano lessons Daddy. I really like Mrs Robin as teacher. The best part of this process is the community Robin has built in her home and out. There is no better method for learning a musical instrument, than to perform. There are regular performances and twice a year recitals. This positive interaction with other students and families I don't think is very common with piano teachers. Even though I am not taking lessons, Robin has even given me some direct help in preparation for my own piano performances. I would recommend Robins Music Studio to anyone committed to learn. Thanks Thumbtack for helping me find a gem.

I've been taking piano lessons with Josh for about one year now and I've seen enormous improvement in my playing. Josh is so thoughtful with his instruction methods and technique, it makes lessons with him feel so personal and customized. Like everything is designed for me and my own personal improvement. Taking lessons with Josh also makes me want to practice more than I've wanted to for any other teacher. It's because Josh is so invested in all of his students and really wants to see them grow and improve. That totally has a positive affect. Plus, he's so cool! We learn fun songs and really work hard all while hanging in a chill environment. With Josh the goal is learning and satisfaction. I promise you that if you take piano or voice lessons with Josh you won't be sorry. You'll actually be better for it.

Ian has been teaching our 7-8 year old private tap lessons for the last year. Our favorite thing about it is that Ian's talent really gives us the sense of infinite growth potential, but he still meets William at just the right level for that particular moment. Ian is very in tune with his students, and can adapt his style and curriculum until he gets the best response from his students. We also like that he is teaching some of the underlying music theory and history of tap, which William certainly wouldn't get in his normal dance classes. Ian makes a point to welcome us at every one of the Subject:Matter performances that we've gone to, which has made the whole family feel plugged into the larger Boston tap community. Ian has been easy to coordinate with and reliable, and we are looking forward to continuing to work with him!

      About

Classes offered are: * Private voice instruction * Performance * Audition prep * Theater prep None of my students have an identical learning style. My goals throughout your lessons are to keep it as tailored as possible. I spend part of the lessons by always going over and understanding the voice, how to use our diaphragms, and controlling our vocals in songs and warm-ups. Performance is a crucial element to the lessons I provide. Whether or not you choose to take this to a professional level, I truly believe that perfecting your stage presence is essential. My approach has always been open-minded, kind and thoughtful, and my hope is that every student leaves their lessons falling just as in love with music as I have.

      About

As a teacher I understand what it's like not to "get it" the first time. Not all of us are Mendelssohn or Bach. Also, I understand the problems involved for the late starter or the adult who had lessons years ago and now would like to try it again. Patience and love are the key elements to my approach to teaching. But, I also expect my students to work honestly and diligently no matter how difficult the task seems to be.

How much do dance lessons cost?

Adults who want to learn to dance, whether to prepare for a wedding or to meet new people, often enjoy taking dance lessons from an experienced dance instructor. Instructors may offer classes one-on-one to individual students or couples, or to small groups. The national average cost for a dance instructor ranges from $30 to $50. Some studios offer a discounted introductory lessons or group lessons, as well as package deals that are more affordable than paying for individual lessons. Some dance instructors will travel to the student’s home, which usually costs more, while others hold small-group sessions in their studios.
