Anita was great- we ( my teenage daughter and I) did a private first yoga lesson to get introduced to the practice. Anita explained each pose - the how to do and health benefits. She also adjusted the difficulty of each pose to meet our capabilities. I plan to sign up for a group session with Anita that's starting in a couple of weeks based on the very positive first experience! Anita's a great teacher!
It is with great pleasure that I write this recommendation for our Yoga Instructor at the YMCA, Cheryl Wolf. My first experience with Cheryl (as I was a complete novice to yoga) was that of warmth and immediate acceptance, no matter what level of practice (which for me, was at zero). She creates a nurturing, encouraging environment that allows everyone to grow at their own pace, in addition to inspiring each member to challenge themselves within their own practice. With the varying levels of expertise in the class, this effort could be daunting, but for Cheryl, it is comfortable and easy. I can truly say that no-one is left out, and everyone reaps the benefit of her instruction. Cheryl's teaching style is clear and meaningful, both in body and in spirit. Her well planned curriculum encompasses meditation, breathing, and yoga poses, where she is an active participant in all three. I have been to numerous other classes where this is not the case. In this way, Cheryl stands above all others and truly sets by example. Moreover, her message that yoga extends "off the mat" has been an inspiration to me personally and professionally. I am forever grateful for this powerful, profound message she has taught me, which is the true essence of yoga. I have used Chavi for private yoga lessons for almost a year now. She is deeply knowledgeable about all aspects of yoga, its history and its application for addressing the total self, not just the body. She has a very strict focus on form to assure maximum sage effect. She is very busy, so plan ahead and be regular.

Jeanne is a talented and professional instructor. She takes the full hour individual in-home lesson at my beginner pace, and gently challenges me when she sees I am ready to go further. My lower back pain is resolving nicely as we work on building my core and improving my overall flexibility. After five weeks I have been able to to drop My pain med, and replace it with daily yoga stretches. I recommend Jeanne to basically anyone who will listen! Even my back doctor was impressed.
Jen is an amazing yoga instructor- she challenges you without pressure or pushing you. Under her weekly instruction, I was able to gain strength and flexibility as well as a deeper focus on breathing and introspection. Her classes have great playlists and a fun flow.
