Bulent is a great singing teacher because of his personality and pedagogy skills. Bulent's personality is very jovial. He laughs a lot and makes you feel comfortable as soon as you step into the studio. No matter how good a teacher is, if you don't feel comfortable around them -- you won't be able to learn as much as you should from them. Bulent made me feel comfortable enough to ask dumb questions (some really, really dumb ones) and not feel judged for it. From the first lesson, it's clear Bulent is a different type of teacher. His pedagogical techniques revolve around making sure his students understand the "big idea". For example, he teaches you how a sound is produced from your voice and why it's important to have this understanding when singing. It almost feels like he could teach an anatomy class, his understanding of your body as an instrument is vast and impressive. Bulent also gives you homework or drills to help sing in-rhythm and sing in-pitch. After just a few lessons, I went from not being able to sing anything to singing (and recognizing) pitches to my favorite song. I highly recommend Bulent for anyone wishing to start singing. The only suggested improvements for his lessons are the following: 1. Consider making it optional for students to use a mirror when practicing singing. It's difficult for students with self-image issues to constantly look at themselves in the mirror. 2. Consider making it optional to record the lessons. It is just impractical for some to review every recorded lesson.

Anita and the teachers are amazing! They really try to teach you in way that you would understand. My kids took guitar lessons there with no former guitar knowledge whatsoever. They make you feel so comfortable, I started taking voice lessons myself. Keep in mind that I am 30 years old and completely tone deaf. I love Anita and her teachers and hope to continue to grownwith them.

Our daughter was interested in voice lessons and when we first met with Aliana we knew immediately she was the right choice. Friendly professional, extremely talented in voice, tone, tempo, expression, motivation and professionalism. In addition to her excellent lessons and mentoring she works hard at developing strengths and identifying areas that need improvement. Aliana also gets her students involved in public performances to develop their talent and self esteem.

I've really been enjoying my voice lessons with Amanda. In the past few months I've gained confidence and now have a lot of tools for warming up and protecting my voice, as well as dealing with performance anxiety. I'm pleased with my progress and vocal development and highly recommend studying with Amanda!

I have taken voice lessons in the past with other very skilled instructors, but they were unable to help me get over certain hurdles. Lenae's technique has helped me to conquer many of my anxieties and difficulties related to singing. She has a very relaxed style and gives her lessons in a comfortable setting. I began taking lessons with Lenae in early October 2014, and I've noticed vast improvements in my technique in that short amount of time. I plan to continue working with Lenae for a long time to come!

David has been teaching me guitar for a little over a month now. I have already seen great advances in my technique, rhythm, and understanding of music. I have been playing guitar for 9 years off and on, and I have never had professional lessons. I can say that after a month with David, I am playing better than I ever have and believe that my guitar playing skills will continue to progress rapidly with David's help. His teaching technique is very casual and fun, almost conversational, and his insights are spot on. He is exactly what I hoped for in an instructor when I started looking at guitar lessons and I would highly recommend him for anyone who loves guitar, regardless of their skill level. He is a 'must hire' professional!

Emily has outstanding preparation to teach voice. I was her high school and undergraduate voice teacher, so I can attest to her having excellent singing technique herself, to her having undergraduate coursework in the art and science of teaching voice, and to her having considerable knowledge of performing to share with her students.

Love my voice lessons with Jill. She is very supportive and encouraging, but I also feel that I am getting a solid grounding in what it actually takes to sing. We don't just mess around with songs (we do, and that is nice!) but also work on technique and all the pieces that go into good singing. Highly recommended.

Our two sons (a tenor and a bass) took voice lessons with Thomas Fallon while in high school. Tom has a great approach to teaching proper technique and providing a solid understanding of vocal music. Our sons made great strides in becoming confident singers and had a lot of fun doing so. Tom has just a wonderful collection of experiences to drawn on when teaching and an amazing selection of songs to teach from. Our sons' musical backgrounds are so much richer owing to the variety they pursued with Tom -- from broadway showtunes, to opera, to sacred music, and, last but never least, Irish folk songs. Each hour went by quickly and was never a chore. As parents we enjoyed watching their progress and we also appreciated that Tom was always willing to accommodate the crazy schedules of two busy teens. Our connection with Tom has lasted well beyond the days of voice lessons. We continue to enjoy seeing him at local musical performances and events.

When I first met Gordon Michaels he was singing. His voice can fill an auditorium without a mic. He touches each song with love from within and communicates beautifully to the audience as well. Gordon has incrediable personality and the biggest heart for others I know and a beautiful smile. When he smiles the whole room shines and those around him are effected by his smile, glowing personality, musical abilities and his ability to encourage others to share there talents if they are scared or insecure performing. Gordon is constantly watching your back. He supported and nudged me to do my debut. Mr. Michaels did all the necessary work advertising to ensure my attendance for my debut was well attended. Lastly, during holiday season he gathers several of his singing colleagues to perform with him at various venues to collect funds and donates a new toy to children who are less forntunate during Holiday Season. Gordon remains your friend once he becomes part of your life. Not only that, but he shared with me his Mom's family secret how to make chicken taste better! P. Humphreys

She is the best! I am a cardiologist at Boston and our lessons during my lunch breaks are my sessions of meditation. The questionnaire (5 questions) that she gave me after our first meeting was brilliant. She understands me perfectly and she creates the greatest repertoire for me. After 6 months, I can say that we worked on anatomy, breathing techniques, singing quality, expanding my range, learning my voice and discovering my true voice with my favorite songs. Her professionalism put music to another level for me. I am having small gigs and enjoying being on stage!

I have been working with Gabe for the last three years. I started in college after never having taken voice lessons before. Gabe is always energetic and passionate in our lessons. You can tell he truly loves music and how it can help people express themselves. As a more reserved person it can be difficult to put emotion into the music, but Gabe always finds a way to not only instruct technique but to help you tap into the emotion of the piece. You obviously can't teach someone how to "feel" but Gabe is great at spurring you on to find the extra bit you may be holding back. He also finds a way to mix in some music theory and sight reading tips into the lessons. On top of that he's extremely flexible with his scheduling and offers very reasonable prices.

First of all, Lenae's enthusiasm and encouragement during lessons made the kids' introduction to piano very enjoyable and accessible for them. She was so kind to our children and so positive about the experience of making music; her rapport with the kids really made for a great start for them. They liked being with Lenae and being at her studio, and her flexibility in letting the little ones play around while the older ones got lessons was always appreciated. Getting a chance to play the Lawson Tower bells and at the different types of recitals Lenae offered were also great experiences for the kids. We also appreciated the way she let the kids follow their interest in which pieces they chose to focus on.

As a pop/jazz singer myself, I undertook weekly private lessons with Jordan at the New England Conservatory in the Spring 2018 Semester. It is sometimes hard to find both an excellent teacher and singer, yet Jordan excels in both areas. He is able to pinpoint exactly what you aren’t doing correctly and show you the right technique to be able to reach the high notes with confidence. If I ever didn’t understand the right method the first time, he would effortlessly find another way to explain the right technique until I finally understood how to implement it into my singing. He is the master of getting rid of bad habits with innovative voice exercises and I always felt like I improved after every lesson. I feel privileged to have studied with him during my studies at the conservatory and I highly recommend him without hesitation.

Alley has been working with my children in my home for over 5 years. Alley teaches them both piano and my daughter also takes voice lessons with her. Alley is professional and punctual as well as a good communicator when our schedules have to be changed. My kids have progressed steadily in piano and they enjoy Alley's relaxed, fun style of teaching. Alley works to relate to my children's learning styles and keeps them interested. I highly recommend her!

My 15-year-old son began weekly lessons with Garry over the summer. My son is an actor and had no experience as a vocalist - Garry met him where he was in a way that's been really validating and effective. Garry's matter-of-fact, encouraging and targeted instruction has quickly yielded progress for my son (who, by the way, is totally psyched to go to each lesson...even when he's tired!). Overall, I'm just amazed at the early results of good teaching. A final note: Garry has been really flexible in working with us to find a time that works with a high school kid's busy schedule, and he is a great communicator, too. I feel incredibly lucky to have discovered Garry in my search for an instructor for my son.

Erini is an amazing and unique vocal coach who has helped me in my career as a singer. With her I learned about voice, music, professionalism and she has inspired me to become a better person and musician. She taught me a variety of vocal techniques that now I use like tools to express my musicality when I perform. I'm very thankful to had her in my music path because with her advises and motivational speeches I've been able to achieve my goals and always work in a professional and respectful way.
