I stumbled upon Boston Event Diva's while planning my wedding and I can honestly say that hiring Jen was the best and easiest decision I made throughout the planning process. She was so easy to work with, incredibly accommodating and made all of my visions & dreams come to life. While I only used her as my florist, I urge anyone needing a wedding day coordinator to hire Jen as well. The amount of time and effort that she put into the bouquets, boutonnieres, corsages and all the ceremony & reception arrangements leads me to believe that she puts her entire heart into her work... and you in return will have the most beautiful wedding from start to finish. I can not say enough great things about Boston Event Diva's. Plus, one week after my wedding I still have a beautiful and healthy hydrangea centerpiece sitting on the island in my kitchen still looking as beautiful as they did on the day of my wedding!

She listened to my needs and offered her expertise and together came up with a great design. Planning a destination wedding in Newport, RI in 6 months while living hundreds of miles away, working full time, moving once cross-country, finding a new job, starting a new job, etc, etc, is no easy task, even with a wedding planner! With everything going on in my life, plus the short timeframe (the wedding date we selected was 6 months out from the day we secured the venue), and the fact that I am a perfectionist, I knew I was going to need help. I was lucky enough to come across SYB Event Planning while on Thumbtack. I interviewed a few companies and ended up selecting SYB because Soraya, the owner, and I really clicked while talking on the phone. While I wasn't necessarily looking for a cultural wedding, I knew she would understand some of the nuances with our families because my husband and I come from different cultural backgrounds. Soraya specializes in taking the time to understand different cultures and she goes out of her way to embed as much or as little as you want of you or your partner's culture into your wedding. I'm so glad I had Soraya for the entire wedding planning process and for the day of the wedding. Our wedding was absolutely beautiful and totally exceeded my expectations (this is a perfectionist speaking...just for some perspective). I don't think that could have been possible without having Soraya helping along the way. She challenged me to think about things I would have never thought of and took care of all the details. She went above and beyond to make sure the wedding was as successful as it could be. She even drove over 90 miles each way to get us a cute favor that we really wanted for our guests...without hesitating! I didn't even ask her, but when she heard me talking about what I would like to do if the place was closer, she just jumped in and said she would take care of it. I'm so thankful for everything Soraya did to make our special day a success and would highly recommend her to anyone trying to plan a wedding.

We had a company party for 300 people. Kathy was a pleasure to deal with during the planning stage and the presentation and food quality was excellent. She guaranteed me that we would not run out of food, and we didn't. Her prices are excellent. We will certainly use her again in the future.

Chef Malone and staff are awesome! Malone Catering catered our wedding on 9/28. We had a casual buffet style dinner. The guests RAVED about how good the food was! The quality of the food was exceptional! Chef Marty & staff were all very friendly, professional and attentive. We really couldn't have asked for anything more! We even have some friends and family who want to use Malone Catering for future events! Outstanding quality and service, you can't go wrong!

Extremely Competent and Talented - Delicious food - Impeccable professionalism - Very Reasonable Pricing Expertise in the field is immediately evident. Upon our first call, I knew Deirdre was highly capable of handling our event. Her years of experience have made her confident in her execution - which made me as a client secure and calm that Slavin in the Kitchen would handle our event as anticipated and without incident. This particular event that we hired Deirdre for was a very personal one - a “Celebration of Life” gathering at our home after my Mother-in-law’s passing. I desired a very specific passed hors d’oeuvres menu to honor my Mother-in-law to include her favorite foods. Deirdre didn’t blink. She was completely amicable with creating offerings that are not typically on her appetizer menu. She made excellent suggestions and designed special hors d’oeuvres just for our memorial. We certainly didn’t provide her with the best working conditions - and she didn’t even shrug! I requested that she work out of our garage so that guests could have full use of our kitchen. She did so flawlessly and to boot - when she left, you would have never even known she was there! I would have been happy to rent cooking equipment for her to use, but as an added bonus - she had it all in her inventory and brought it with her. Our guests were swooning over her cuisine! I received MANY compliments on how delicious folks found her cooking to be. Guests even took her name and number so that they may hire Slavin in the Kitchen for future events. I am still dreaming about the Curried Chicken Tartlets and the Masala Chai!! SO TASTY!! I need to note how lovely and professional her Serving staff were as well! As an Event Planner, I’ve experienced that even if the Chef is professional and capable - the crew they bring to serve isn’t always as fabulous. That was certainly not true of Slavin in the Kitchen’s Servers. The two ladies were courteous, crisp, polite and gracious. They knew the tone of the event and were overwhelmingly sensitive to our family and guests. I was delighted with how our event was handled by Slavin in the Kitchen. Yvonne was simply amazing! From the initial contact and all the follow up, her professionalism and execution left nothing for want. We wanted to have our wedding at our family farm, which required more planning than a typical venue, and she was lock-step with us the entire way, from an early visit to scope the property and plan logistics, to suggestions for vendors along the way, to ultimately delivering a fantastic, unforgettable day for our 180+ guests. She made the day run so smoothly, corralling people into the right places at the right times (which was a feat given our venue had multiple rooms and lots of outdoor space), while making sure my now husband and I were taken care of and felt great. I cannot describe how thankful I am to have had her help on our wedding day, and would absolutely recommend her to anyone getting married in the area (or who is willing to fly her out) :)

My baby shower was simply gorgeous and everything I had envisioned because of Ashley’s attention to detail and amazing taste! She has this incredibly gift of listening to your ideas and likes and then creating an event that surpasses your expectations - she considers every detail. From the floral centerpieces to the cake (so many compliments!), to the customized pencils and favors - everything was perfect. Cyn is a true professional. From the beginning to the end she individualized our planning for our 1st wedding anniversary party, and worked within the budget we provided her with. Kelly did the day of coordination for my wedding, and all the pre-work to prepare for the day. She helped find additional staff, suggest vendors, and essentially anything I asked of her. Kelly was truly amazing and saved my wedding in so many ways! From the moment I hired Kelly, she gave me peace of mind and assurance that everything will be perfect. There is a lot of effort and coordination that goes into making a wedding, Kelly was right there with me along the way. As somebody who has orchestrated many events, she gave thoughtful suggestions to ensure my event was planned perfectly. She was always in contact, answered all my emails promptly, and calmed every worry and question I had prior to my wedding. She went over my plan and wishes in great detail to ensure she knew exactly what I wanted and how I wanted everything. The day of she was a wedding saver. I got everything I planned executed as requested and the event ran without any issues (at least none I was award of), Kelly did that great of a job. I spent my wedding day dancing, enjoying the wedding I dreamed of, and visiting my family and friends, while Kelly worked extremely hard to ensure everything went as planned. She did an outstanding job and my wedding day was beyond my expectations. Thank you Kelly for everything that you did and all the things I don't know about, you were truly one of the best decisions I made during my wedding planning!

My fiancee and I had one simple request to keep our wedding planning and wedding day stress free. Amanda has more than exceeded our expectations. She saved us a lot of money, providing props, design recommendations, averted so many foreseeable crises months before the wedding started. She was flexible with my family's needs, and collaborated with my in-laws in wedding preparations. She ended every call with "Let me know if you can think of anything else you need..." She missed our rehearsal dinner after our rather awful florist messed up our flowers last minute. Amanda was almost like a part of our family, honoring both my needs and my family's, finding peaceful solutions where she could. The wedding turned was like a fairytale. For someone as laidback and almost absent in my wedding planning, Amanda stepped up and turned what I thought was going to be a beautiful day into an extraordinary experience for me and my now husband!
