Jennifer was very pleasant to work with during my baby shower. She responded very quick to all of my questions. My shower was held at the Hilton in Danvers ma, where Jen worked with my mom by taking the stress off my moms back so mom could enjoy herself. The center pieces were done so tastefully that I still get complements on. I would recommend Jen to anyone who wants to plan an event that is stress free. Jennifer truly goes above and beyond and it shows in her work.

John and his team were very professional!! They performed duties beyond their scope because my event planner wasn't doing her job. They all-in-all were instrumental at making sure my guests, myself and husband were well taken care of, from bringing water and a platter of food out to us when pictures were being taken, communicating with our DJ in a professional manner which in turn prompted my DJ to make a public announcement on how spectacular J & L Catering was. If I hadn't mentioned, the food was fantastic. I had great reviews from my family and friends for days/weeks. I would whole heartedly recommend John of J & L Caterers for all weddings.

Belle was amazing! As an event planner, I had turned to Belle to help me bring my client's vision to a reality and she came through 100%! She listened to my needs and offered her expertise and together came up with a great design. Gigi was very nice and easy to do business with. There was a lot of communication before the event and she was very patient with me. The bouncy house was the hit of the night and all the kids loved it. The table setups were very nice and clean. Kids also enjoyed their face painting and balloon twisting service. I work for a large apartment community. We decided, very last minute, to host a catered BBQ for our residents and were scrambling to find a caterer with about 2 weeks to pull everything together. I managed to find Lori on Thumbtack and she was immediately very responsive and professional. She set up a great menu for our residents and gave us an unbeatable price. The day of the event, there was a little miscommunication on what time we were to start (this is why I did not check punctuality, I wanted to be honest, but also emphasize that it was a misunderstanding and not just her staff showing up late). Her staff got here with less time than planned to set up and start cooking and they FLEW getting everything set up and ready to go. In the end, we were only behind by about half an hour and no one seemed to really notice or mind. The food was delicious, very high quality, and her staff was amazing, very efficient, kind and professional. I cannot say enough good things about this experience and would highly recommend Lori for any sort of catering event. She knows how to take care of her customers! Thank you so much Lori for making this a memorable event for our community! If we do decide to cater another event in the future, we are definitely coming back to you!

I wish I could choose more options because John did a fantastic job at our party. The photo booth was a hit with everyone! I’m sorry to say I forgot the woman’s name who was helping John but she was great interacting and engaging people into the event. I will definitely look to use TPF in the future! Working with Yvonne was an absolute pleasure. We hired her as a day of coordinator. She met with us twice in person before the event and was in touch via email about planning, updates, and vendors as we got closer to the day. Yvonne was also great about asking us questions about things we did not even think of. Very important questions! We had total peace of mind the day of the wedding knowing that Yvonne and her assistant Iliana were there to keep everything on schedule and to also remind us that we were married :) They helped with packing up decorations at the end of the night, so we were relieved just knowing that they were there to make sure all of our stuff was safe and put away until the next day. They also helped with setting up the room and decor. I would highly recommend working with Unique Melody Events. They are experienced and know what they are doing. And, they are nice, friendly, professional, and more affordable that other day of planners we looked into. Don't waste your time looking for other planners, go with Unique Melody Events!

I would highly recommend Cathy. This was my 1st time using an event planner and she has now spoiled me. I will never plan these type of events on my own again, and will only use her! My daughter was beyond thrilled with how she put together her Sweet 16, and my daughter is extremely hard to please. She delivered on everything we discussed and more. People from the venue where we held this party were peaking their heads in to admire the work she did setting up. Valerie and Veronica are not only amazing party planners but they both work extremely hard and are dedicated to making your event one to remember. They are on top of everything, extremely detail oriented, quick responding, genuine, and want to satisfy your visions times TEN! We had our baby shower on February 4, 2017 and it was honestly AMAZING!!! When we walked into the venue we were blown away with the creativity and effort put into the props, center pieces, back drops, lighting, everything was PERFECT! Our guests walked in and asked if our baby shower was a wedding LOL. This shows how extremely detailed and beautiful our set up was. We were beyond happy with the turn out! Everything was gorgeous from the decorations to the sweets and the entire set up! It was the baby shower that we always dreamed of and will remember forever. These ladies made it happen, I truly recommended her for anyone who wants to have that perfect event they always dreamed of. They are one of a kind and you WILL NOT be disappointed! Kelly did the day of coordination for my wedding, and all the pre-work to prepare for the day. She helped find additional staff, suggest vendors, and essentially anything I asked of her. Kelly was truly amazing and saved my wedding in so many ways! From the moment I hired Kelly, she gave me peace of mind and assurance that everything will be perfect. There is a lot of effort and coordination that goes into making a wedding, Kelly was right there with me along the way. As somebody who has orchestrated many events, she gave thoughtful suggestions to ensure my event was planned perfectly. She was always in contact, answered all my emails promptly, and calmed every worry and question I had prior to my wedding. She went over my plan and wishes in great detail to ensure she knew exactly what I wanted and how I wanted everything. The day of she was a wedding saver. I got everything I planned executed as requested and the event ran without any issues (at least none I was award of), Kelly did that great of a job. I spent my wedding day dancing, enjoying the wedding I dreamed of, and visiting my family and friends, while Kelly worked extremely hard to ensure everything went as planned. She did an outstanding job and my wedding day was beyond my expectations. Thank you Kelly for everything that you did and all the things I don't know about, you were truly one of the best decisions I made during my wedding planning!

These guys were AMAZING! We had two servers for a house warming party and I cannot believe how easy they made things. There is way to much awesomeness to cover! I cannot believe how easy they made things. I spent weeks freaking out over the party and once the crew showed up, they were on autopilot and made it such a memorable event. All of the guests were extremely impressed with the service and they were both so personable it was very sad to see them leave. We definitely need them back! Highly recommend this great service.

One thing that stood out to me the most while working with Daphne was her perfessionalism, It’s always great to work with someone who is about their Business and their goal is to make their clients happy and you will definitely get that by working with her. We hired Sweetly Designed Events for our wedding back in September 2016. We had a very large wedding with over 250 guests and really needed help with design and day of coordinating. The owner Amanda really helped us with all the details and meet with us several times before the wedding to help us with the process. The day of the wedding everything went smoothly and we didn't have to worry about anything.

I honestly don't think words can ever describe how amazing Beca/Maven Macaw Events is. She went above and beyond for every single thing at my wedding. We've had friends coming up to us since the wedding to tell us how much they loved her, how much they hope to use her if they get married, and how she was one of the best parts of the day. She wrote the most beautiful vows, ones which brought tears to our eyes and made us as happy as possible.     What does a wedding event coordinator do?

    Pulling off a large, complex wedding or an elegant, small affair requires juggling myriad details, including the officiant, food, drink, wedding cake, entertainment, transportation, rehearsal dinner, photography, equipment rentals, venue reservations and more. A wedding event coordinator can help you keep track of these details, overseeing the planning process and managing everything on the day of your wedding. Each wedding coordinator (and wedding) is different, but in general you can expect an event coordinator to:

    • Help you devise a realistic wedding budget and hold your vendors to it.
    • Map out a master plan that includes all of the details including ceremony music, favors, the guest book and more.
    • Suggest ceremony and reception locations that fit your wedding size, budget and vision.   
    • Suggest florists, photographers, bands, caterers and other vendors that fit your budget.
    • Negotiate vendor contracts for the best deals.
    • Create a timeline for the day of the wedding that includes each vendor and member of your wedding party.
    • Mail invitations and track RSVPs.
    • Answer questions about wedding etiquette and current wedding trends.
    • Manage the wedding day from supervising vendors and setup to handling last-minute emergencies.

    Do I need a wedding day coordinator?

    Even if you’ve handled every detail of planning your wedding, you might appreciate having a day-of wedding coordinator in your corner. Usually, the coordinator meets with you a few weeks before your wedding to put together a detailed timeline of everything that needs to happen on your wedding day. Then, on the big day, the coordinator makes sure everything goes according to plan — and handles any emergencies that pop up, such as party crashers, missing tuxedos, late vendors, disappearing bridal party members and more. Most wedding coordinators also handle:

    • Distributing the wedding day timeline to all of your vendors.
    • Coordinating all of your vendors, including the photographer, florist and baker.
    • Conducting the wedding rehearsal.
    • Helping the bride and her wedding party get dressed and take photos.   
    • Checking floor plans, lighting levels, cake placement, menus, favors and more.
    • Collecting the wedding gifts and keeping personal items safe and accounted for.

    Even if you don’t think you need a wedding coordinator, check with your venue. Some require that couples hire a day-of wedding coordinator for the day of the event. 

    How much do day-of wedding coordinators cost?

    A day-of wedding coordinator makes sure that every detail of your wedding day goes off without a hitch, and deals quickly and quietly with any last-minute emergencies. For many brides, the day-of wedding coordinator is their best investment! The average national cost for a wedding coordinator is $800 to $1,000. Although full-service wedding coordinators often charge a percentage of the total wedding budget, most day-of coordinators charge a flat fee plus an additional hourly fee if the day runs long. For example, a 15-hour day-of coordination costs an average of $600, plus an additional $45 per hour if the coordinator works more than the planned 15 hours. Another option is to hire a coordinator to manage the last-minute details leading up to the event; for example, 25 hours of month-of coordination costs an average of $1,200. Several factors affect the cost of day-of coordination, including the region, the planner’s experience, and the specifics of the wedding. If the ceremony and reception are in two different locations, expect to pay more than if they’re in the same place. Also, extra details, such as managing food trucks or setting up snacks in addition to the meal, will increase the cost.

    What should you ask a wedding coordinator?

    When you hire a wedding coordinator, you want to make sure he or she gets you and can execute perfectly your vision of your dream wedding. To find the very best fit, it’s important to ask these five questions:

    • Are you available on my wedding date? If the coordinator isn’t available on your big day, there’s no reason to continue the interview — unless you’re willing to shift your date to accommodate their schedule.
    • What’s average cost of most of your weddings? If the coordinator’s usual wedding is outside your range, they might not be the right coordinator for you. Ask whether the coordinator requires a minimum wedding budget. In general, the wedding coordinator’s fee should be about 15 percent of your budget.
    • What is your speciality? Some coordinators specialize in day-of coordination, some create the overall vision, and others act as a producer. Make sure your wedding coordinator provides the type of services that will most help you create the event you have in mind, such as selecting vendors and handling their contracts, or managing the guest list and invitations.
    • What are your ideas for fulfilling our wedding vision? After you describe your dream wedding — rustic or sophisticated, traditional or funky — the wedding coordinator should be able to suggest appropriate venues, menus, decorations, etc..

    Do you have a portfolio? Ask to see photos of their favorite weddings, especially if they’ve managed any that are similar to what you have in mind. This will help you see if you like their style and if their ideas seem fresh and creative.
