We hired Mitch as a bartender for our Roaring’ 20’s New Year’s Eve Party, based on a referral from Colin Shea who was the chef who catered the event. Mitch contacted us by e-mail, and we provided him with the information about the drinks we were serving, which included soft drinks, beer, wine and 5 vintage cocktails from the 1920s. In addition, we asked Mitch to make our guests any drinks they requested if he had the necessary ingredients.
The night of the party, Mitch was very punctual and showed up at 7:00 pm as we had agreed. He was dressed appropriately in black pants and a white button-down shirt. He spent approximately 30 minutes setting up the bar, which we had rented for the party. At 7:30 pm he was open for business and started to serve our guests. The vintage drinks we were serving aren’t commonly requested in bars today, but Mitch did a great job of preparing them (including garnishes). He was very personable, and our guests enjoyed having him at the party.
We had originally hired Mitch to work for 3 hours (7:00 pm to 10:00 pm). However, we asked him to work longer because everyone was enjoying the drinks so much. Ultimately, he worked until midnight and helped us with the champagne toast. In addition, he rinsed all of the glasses that we had rented for the event and placed them back in the racks.
I would recommend Mitch to anyone who is planning a party or corporate event. He was professional and easy to work with. Also, his rates were reasonable and provided a good value.
