Tammy and I have been training on flexibility and stretching specifically, which was the intent on original posting on Thumbtack. The program is focused on multiple areas and is properly positioned for me to develop my flexibility in sessions and on my own. The training sessions are appropriately timed and Tammy is also able to arrange her time based upon my busy schedule. The experience is developing as we both expect it to take a few months to see significant change, but so far, I am very pleased.

Antrofit is hands down the best training company you will find. Johnny Loretti is an absolute beast in every sense of the word. His knowledge, experience and excitement for his job were all things that helped take my body to the next level. From his meal plans to training routines, he transformed my body into exactly what I was looking for (in a fraction of the time I thought it would take). As someone whose former workouts consisted strictly of hours of trite cardio and whose nutrition came from a blend of fad diets and eating whatever I wanted when those diets inevitably failed, I needed a change: Lou gave me an entirely new outlook on exercise and nutrition. Perhaps more importantly, he made me really excited about living a healthier lifestyle, which I think is key for anyone who wants long-term results. Lou is most definitely a fitness-and-nutrition nerd in the best way possible and, unlike many PTs, he actually practices what he preaches. He’s amassed a staggering wealth of knowledge from years of personal and professional experience, and stays abreast of the science and studies that support the advice he provides his clients. His training sessions are always challenging, interesting, and fun. He takes the time to explain how to do an exercise and why it’s effective (though you will certainly feel it's effects the next day!) and motivates you to do far more in the gym than you thought you could. Moreover, his services don’t end when you finish your session; I text him often with nutrition and fitness inquiries. He’s always quick to respond and encourages me to keep asking questions-- not just because he clearly loves the subject matter, but also because he genuinely cares about his clients. In an industry replete with fitness frauds and fallacious fads, Lou is a refreshing change and is essential for anyone who wants real, lasting results. Thanks, Lou!

I have a very busy schedule and I was deprioritizing my health for years. I would go to the gym and eat good in phases and never really make a lifestyle change to make it consistent. Enter Debi. Working with Debi has been one of my best decisions. She was exactly what I've been looking for and needed in order for me to make my health a priority and make a lifestyle change. I've always loved lifting weights, but the amount of information on the internet and the do's and dont's that go with lifting always made it challenging to take it a step further. Deb puts safety first and helps you develop the correct technique for each exercise. She matches the amount of weight and exercise with the look you're going for. My training sessions with Debi are fun and exciting and I always look forward to them. I've only been training with Debi for about 4 weeks and I already feel so much better. Do yourself a favor and let Debi into your life!

I started training with Billy in Jan 2017 after losing 50 pounds on Weight Watchers. I interviewed other trainers at the time but never found a good fit. Upon meeting Billy for the first time, I was immediately impressed with his knowledge and experience about nutrition, strength training, anatomy, and overall fitness. He is an excellent listener and employs routines and strategies that support his client's goals / needs. Little did I know that I would reach my goal weight (lose another 30 lbs for total 80 lb loss), succeed in strength training taking me to new personal records that I never dreamed of (deadlifts, etc...), firm up body and run my very first 5K within 6-7 months of starting to work with Billy. I have had a few injuries (shoulder, back) from extracurricular sports that have required physical therapy. Billy understands PT's approach, is happy to communicate & build plans with them, and then modifies our routine to support PT objectives while continuing to stay on a path supporting strength training and overall fitness. I plan to continue working with New School Fitness / Billy on a regular basis (training for "Tough Mudder" or possibly "Spartan" - can't believe it - so amazing). After such a successful, and fun, first year training with Billy, I am happy to highly recommend "New School Fitness".

I signed on with Will around the 7th of July and began regular training sessions with him on the 15th of that month. By the end of August (6 or 7 weeks later), I had lost 15 pounds and completely revamped my diet. Will's approach focused on 3 areas: what you eat, how you train while you're with him and how you train when you're not. I believe my sessions with Will were so successful because he refused to listen to excuses for why I hadn't been working or eating properly and because he constantly pushes you to go further and try harder than you think you can. After every session, my body was sore but I felt like I had accomplished something. I don't really have anything negative to say. The sessions aren't cheap but they are in line with what one pays elsewhere. Also, Will has a pretty mediocre taste in music but he makes up for it with his taste in television shows and movies. Overall, I'd definitely give him 5 out of 5 stars. There is no way that I would have been so successful in putting my health back on track without Will and I've already signed up for another set of sessions with him.

Care is an extremely hard worker and wants the best out of her clients. She works around your schedule the best she can and always figures out a way to make it work so you don't miss a training day. Cara is truly a professional who motivates you to the fullest. There was times I wanted to give up but Cara was there to push me through. She will reach out even on off days to see how you are doing - I know this really helped me because I was able to always keep up with pushing myself to workout when I didn't see her. I can honestly say I will never try another trainer- Cara will always be the one!

A few times in life you meet someone who makes a long term material difference in your life. Matt one of those people. I have trained with him for 11 years and during that time, he has helped me achieve my goals. We have maintained my weight, added muscle tone, and most importantly we have prevented injury as well as managed around physical issues when they have come along from outside activities. His attention to detail never ceases to amaze me. As a rowing referee who works with Olympic athletes, I know high quality training. Best of all he long ago became a friend. Matt is very good at his job. No question.

Kyle is the absolute best! I can safely yet somewhat embarrassingly say that he is my best friend. He has helped me so much and is always looking for new ways to improve my workouts. I’ve been training with Isaiah for about 4 months now, 3 / 1 hour sessions per week, and I can’t deny it’s one of the best decisions I’ve ever made. I came across Isaiah through word of mouth. My first impressions were his professional manner as well as being very down to earth. He’s a wealth of knowledge when it comes to training , very mature and ahead of his age. There hasn’t been a day I wake up and don’t look forward to the next session. Over the course of these past 4 months of training I’ve noticed my strength go up immensely as well as starting to notice an increase in size, which I’ve never seen before. Although both of those are important I believe the most notable thing I’ve gained would be my confidence. Sure I could go to another gym alone and do this, but it wouldn’t be the same. I wouldn’t be given that extra push to finish the set, or step up in weight, plus I would have continued to lift with sub par form which would lead to further complications. This all changed through training with Isaiah, I would highly reccomend giving him a call if you’re looking for results.

I've been with Joe Merchant for nearly 2.5 years (from before he started Next Level) - which in itself is probably a testament to Joe's ability. Over this period, I've lost more than 60lbs and have become the strongest I've been in my life. I am writing this with the intention of leaving a comprehensive review. After all, I found Joe through Thumbtack and I wouldn't want anyone else to miss out on him. NLPT's training system is not just about weight loss and good physique. That's just the side effect. It's about functional training, where you also exercise and strengthen those typically hard to exercise muscles in creative, different ways. It prepares your body to be most effective in day to day activities, all while helping you chisel your body. His training regimes are in accordance with goals that you have in mind. Start of 2018, I changed mine from simply getting stronger to getting my body fat % down, and I've lost more than 30lbs since Feb 2018 (with 3 sessions a week). Once he gets to understand your body, he begins to know what is excessive for you, what your body is capable of, and when it's a mental block that's preventing you from doing one more rep or adding 5lbs. I've experienced this repeatedly. Joe's knowledge of the muscular system continues to astound me. Couple of instances: - On more than one occasion, I've complained about tightness in certain muscles to which he will tell me to roll/stretch out an unheard of muscle in a certain manner that he will demonstrate. A few painful moments later, the tightness goes away. - He observed that I wasn't able to engage certain muscles in an exercise. He then proceeded to sit down in a certain way and asked me if I sat in that posture at work, because that could mess me up. And indeed that's what I was doing. He also constantly updated himself with latest studies, and is more than willing to have sensible debates with you, should you have contradictory information. Having had an immensely positive experience with him, I find it tough to say something "negative" - so you'll have to forgive me for that. I will say this: you may not see "results" within a week or even a few of training with him. Although I'm inclined to look at your own dietary habits and lifestyle (as it was with me), be open with him about it, and stick with NLPT for a few months more. Everyone's body is different, and no one has the magic formula. Joe loves what he's doing, and it's infectious. You do your bit, and he'll make you the best version of you yet.

I signed up for 3 months of training with Chad in April with the hope to lose weight, build strength and not cringe at the thought of exercising after work. I was a little hesitant to commit to two training sessions a week since it had been almost 2 years since I had exercised on a regular basis’ (since my son was born) but Chad was patient and explained each move and the proper form in an understandable way for me. I was nervous of what my capabilities would be after being out of the game for so long. The feeling of intimidation subsided within the first few minutes of my first workout with Chad due to his personable and friendly way. That first work out was a killer at the time and 15 minutes in I was sweating hard but I loved it and couldn't wait to come back for more! Each session is different and Chad is an excellent trainer who puts a lot of thought and effort into the workouts he plans for me. In 3 months have I gained so much physical strength and I also have noticed positive changes in my energy level, mindset, sleeping habits and food choices. I don’t dread going to the gym after work anymore. His passion for fitness and his desire to help people is what made me renew for another 3 months of training and I am excited to see more results in my weight loss and physical strength journey.

I am a 58 yr old female who has had back surgery. I first met Kevon when I decided to try to get in shape. I had never really " worked out" before. I had the pleasure of working with Renee for nutrition planning and personal training. She is extremely flexible as far as whatever level of fitness and training you are at in your life.
