Alejandro has been a wonderful Spanish instructor. I very much look forward to my lessons. Alejandro's lessons are private or in very small groups, allowing for lots of practice and an individualized curriculum. I highly recommend!
I can't say enough about Arbor Tutors! I am very amazed as to the quality of tutoring my son received for his ACT exam from them given the low price. Truly much better value than other companies.
I will hire Oliver again in a minute and plan to as long as he tutors. He made the difference between my grandson failing 8th grade math and making it to 9th grade. Who could ask for more? Quality = 100%!
Working with Patrick from Bootstrap Tutors was an exceptional experience. Patrick was professional, intelligent, reliable and punctual, and taught and explained the material clearly. It was a pleasure working with Patrick and Bootstrap Tutors.
Michelle has been a godsend for Camron with his Precalculus. He understands now and she is so patient when he gets confused. She is super friendly and very professional. She actually cares about the people that she tutors. We are going to keep her through college!! We highly recommend this lady to anyone who needs help. She knows what she is doing and does it in a way that makes learning fun. Always on time and just a true joy to work with!!
Bonjour! Samantha is exactly what we had hoped to find in a French tutor. Samantha is positive, experienced, engaging, knowledgeable and approachable. We love that our 8 and 11 year old kids get to learn French from a native speaker while also learning all the grammar rules. Our kids enjoy learning from Samantha and have acquired a sense of pride now that they can try to understand and communicate in French. Samantha is flexible in her teaching methods and you can tell she is an experienced teacher. We already have friends looking to hire her! We highly recommend her!
I recently ran across a review about Quantum Prep and felt like I just had to share my tutoring story as well. I graduated from Lexington High School in Lexington Massachusetts. Lexington High School is a huge school. When I say huge, I mean I graduated with five hundred and eleven classmates. I was always proud to go to Lexington High, we were rated number 19 in 2014 by Newsweek in their Americas Top Public Schools. Luckily my class sizes were always small and it was not too hard to get help from the teacher. The first semester of my junior year I was taking five classes. I was looking into pre-med, so I took a lot of hard science classes that gave me at least two hours of homework a night. I also worked on the weekends, swam competitively, played in the jazz band and was active in my religious youth group. That year I was taking AP Chemistry as a challenge and knew I was going to have a tough time with it. My teacher, Mrs. Compton, was great! She explained everything really well and broke it down for the class. I just really couldnt get everything in my notebook and in my head with enough time to move on to the next topic, so Id lose information here and there, making it really hard to answer test questions. I got the first F in my entire academic career on the first quiz. Im one of those people who expect a lot from themselves, and I expected As. I felt really bad about myself for the first two quizzes because I wasnt coming even close to what I knew I could do. In addition, because I was spending so much time working on AP Chemistry, my other classes were suffering. And as a prospective pre-med student, I was afraid that because I challenged myself I wasnt going to get into the colleges I wanted. That's when I called Quantum Prep for help. As soon as I had the first tutoring session I felt a little more reassured. We went over my quizzes and homework assignments and my tutor quickly picked up what I was missing and how to keep me focused. I felt much more confident walking into class every day. My tutor figured out how I best learn and we started laughing and making jokes as we did stereochemistry. Yes, he figured out within one session that I learn better with music playing in the background and even knew why! The real difference was that he didnt just teach me material, he taught me how to learn for myself. It was a game-changer in how I approached school and learning in general. So while he was teaching me one class, I was using the learning techniques he taught me to improve my grades in all of my classes. He even patiently sat through temper tantrums and low points. So what happened after I called Quantum Prep? The next quiz I took, I got thirty points higher than the last. The first exam; I got a B+. I went on to graduate in a science heavy degree, and got into my first choice for college and graduated with a degree in Neuropsychology. I highly suggest using Quantum Prep for any kind of tutoring. I had such a wonderful experience and have used the lessons I learned from him in so many different aspects of my life, from studying at the university to job experiences. Thank you Quantum Prep!
My daughter was failing math. After just a few sessions shes not only getting A's but shes learning math at a higher grade level. He is really good at evaluating what it is the student is not understanding and presenting it to the student in a way that they do understand. Great tutor.
He is a great tutor and genuinely cares for his students.
Diane Brown is an extraordinary human being and an outstanding Spanish teacher. Her primary concern is what works best for the individual student and she is prepared to use multiple modalities recognizing the students’ visual, auditory and kinesthetic learning strengths. Spanish is learned as a living spoken and written language influenced by rich cultures. As her colleague and team leader, I was impressed by her enthusiasm, commitment to her students and her work ethic. As the parent three students, I was delighted by the depth and breadth their Spanish knowledge after just two years of Middle School Spanish.
Kathie was wonderful with my daughter. We only had a short time to work together before my daughter had to take her ACT and because of Kathie my daughter felt prepared. Will absolutely use her again for my other daughter!
Paul was an excellent Spanish tutor for myself and my husband as we prepared for a trip to Spain. He's patient and very sweet. We highly recommend him!
Elisha is one of the smartest people I know. She's going to an asset wherever she goes.
I have had Tutors for a few different languages (Japanese & Portugues) so I have experience in working with people of all skill levels trying to teach me a foreign language; that said, Candi is BY FAR the best tutor I've had the pleasure of working with. What makes Candi fit with me is her extreme flexibility. My job sends me on the road at a moments notice and each time I've had to change the schedule Candi has been able to happily accommodate me. A big part of Candi's approach is her positivity, which keeps me smiling and always looking forward to my class. When it comes to her approach to teaching as a tutor, Candi is professional, kind, and extremely knowledgeable. Tutoring an adult comes with specific challenges, dedication being the most destructive, but Candi's style inspires one to keep with the program and her abilities allow you to have successes on a weekly or bi-weekly basis further inspiring you to move forward. As you can probably tell I am very fond of and thankful for Candi, she's an amazing Teacher and the main reason why I'll be touring Spain next year with a great grasp of the local language. Definitely sign up for her program and you'll be speaking Spanish in no time!
Has a lot of patience to teach and an awesome tutor! Great Attitude!
“Our tutor has been flexible, attentive, open, and completely willing to tailor his curriculum and focus on our kids' writing needs. I am impressed by Sean's dedication to help our kids become excellent writers, and have confidence in his well-developed curriculum. He has been extremely open to feedback and a delight to work with. I highly recommend anyone from Student Circle as I am sure your sessions will be a great success!”
I've been out of college for nearly ten years, out of basic math/algebra for...lets just say...longer than that. With my recent decision to go back to school to become an RN, I had to take a math placement test. This worried me because I am notoriously bad at math, and had to take several remedial courses my first time around in college. This time, I was determined to avoid that, I did not want to spend extra time or money on math classes that I wouldn't enjoy! I went from knowing nothing to knowing everything I would need to test into the math requirement for my nursing program, and I couldn't have done it without Erika! (Seriously, every damn question on that test I thought to myself, THANK GOD FOR ERIKA). I had three valuable tutoring sessions with her. She is calm, easy-going, and fun to talk to (someone who I have fun talking about math with, what?!). At the same time she is concise, to the point, and encourages you to solve problems until she can tell that you are really "getting it." If I need further tutoring in math or science during my program, I have every intention of reaching out to Erika, and I would recommend her to anyone!
So great!! Monique's dedication to teaching And making sure they know exactly what they're doing in every step is what I wish all teachers would have done in the past with my son hes come so far in just 5 weeks
