Gaurav REALLY knows his yoga! I joined his class recently after having major surgery; he has been understanding and kind with VERY helpful suggestions for alternative poses. He has a low key teaching style which is non-judgmental and very effective. My mind, body and spirit feel calm when I leave his class.
I have taken Gentle Yoga with Asya at Sun & Moon for years. When I heard that she was offering a more personalized therapeutic class, I jumped at the chance to address my particular problems -- back issues, bad knee, Morton's neuroma in my toes -- all things that made some yoga poses very challenging for me. It was wonderful to have her focus on my issues, and she helped me develop a personal practice to work on these things. Her gentle and encouraging voice, strong knowledge of anatomy, and inventive teaching style made it pleasurable as well as useful.

Mark Goldfarb has been my trainer since 1999 and Ive probably been with him the longest of his clients. He is professional in our relationship but also a very caring person. He has researched ways to help train me when I have had an injury or surgery. He has much patience and a way of pushing me when Im not motivated. He is responsive when I have told him that I am unusually sore after a session, adjusting the weights accordingly, and usually spending more time on that muscle. I have sworn that I will never be able to do a certain thing he wants me to do and slowly but surely, I will get there. I like the fact that he uses lots of different approaches to training the same muscle group. It is not only a good way of doing it, but it keeps the workouts from getting boring. Besides the weight machines , he uses bands, bosu balls, straps, discs and a variety of other resources to train. Not only is he interested in building my strength, but increasing my flexibility and balance. In addition, he is a certified yoga instructor and includes many yoga positions in my workouts. This has definitely increased my flexibility. In short, I would highly recommend him as a personal trainer.

I don't often take Yoga however one of the things I enjoyed about Dante's Yoga Class is that he gave the history and context for each of the moves. He was professional and patient as he observed to make sure I did the moves correctly. I look forward to taking another class!
LA Rose Yiga classes are a breath of fresh air. I totally enjoy her classes. I am always relaxed and rejuvenated after all of her classes. I love this yoga class.
Nicole is amazing. Her credentials say she is a certified fitness trainer and yoga instructor, and she is every bit of that. She is a master of her crafts. But she is way more. She is a coach, confidant, motivator, and most of all, a gifted healer. As a physician, I know a healer when I encounter one. I feel so blessed to have invited Nicole to help me with my journey. After just a few weeks of being tortured by Nicole (nobody says health and fitness are easy) I am in my best shape in years. If I learn some of her amazing communication and motivational skills, she may make me a better doctor as well.

My experience at Seva studio exceded my expectations. During my Reiki treatment I felt deeply connected with Lauren's process and by the way I reacted to the method that she used during my treatment. It was my first experience with Reiki and I feel that it definitely helped me with the issues that were afflicting me, and allowed me to be more self aware and less stressed. The environment upon entering was soothing and induced immediate relaxation. Lauren focuses each treatment based on the individuals personal history and motivations. Ravi is awesome! I have taken several classes from her and I think if I can just keep taking them I can get really good at yoga. Sometimes you find someone who is just really strong at yoga, and Ravi is one of those people. She has stamina, technique, flexibility, enthusiasm - the whole package. Just sitting across from her in class, her strength seems to somehow transmit across the room. She makes it easy!
I recently booked Vanessa for a yoga and reiki energy healing package. She worked with me to create a custom package for what I needed. Vanessa is a great 1-on-1 instructor. After the first session I already feel so much more relaxed.
