I like to think I know when I'm doing when it comes to weight loss as I've lost over 275 pounds over three years. Then I hit a very frustrating eight month plateau and decided I needed help. That's when I met Agnese and employed her to get me back on track. I complain a lot when working out with her but I have now lost weight seven straight weeks and counting. Agnese is encouraging, disciplined and perhaps most importantly fun to train with. She has a way to push you harder to earn her approval and while she freely offers praise she is quick to correct you if you get lazy with form or effort. Agnese is certified to train for any fitness goal you may have. Our group training is made up of a variety of ages with a diverse end result as goals. I love working with Cornelius. We meet twice a week and July will be my 3rd month of having him help me with fitness and strength training. There are many reasons why I would recommend him. Here are a few. I am 45 year old woman, 5.5 in height and weigh 230lbs. I was a strong swimmer when I was younger, but have never spent much time in gyms. I would describe myself as having little to no awareness of myself as someone who can train. But I did know that I needed and wanted to get into much better shape. I was also excited about developing better balance, a stronger core, and even new skills like boxing. When I met Cornelius he asked me detailed questions about why I was there and began to develop a program around my strengths, goals and limitations, which included a lower back injury and tendinitis in my left elbow. Every time we meet he asks briefly on how I am doing, and I know he is thinking through the workout to take me to the limit of my capabilities while still ensuring that it is enjoyable. I always have a great time and am tired but invigorated when I leave. This has altered how I view exercise and feel about myself. The gym where we train is tiny but has taught me important things about how less is more, and that you can do a lot with what's around you. This has been a huge help in keeping on training when traveling as you don't need to find a gym but can do many things to build strength and keep in shape where you are. Finally, I feel safe and respected working with Cornelius in the little gym and know that we are on a steady positive path to making real and lasting improvements to my health and wellbeing. I can't think of a better investment to make than that.

When I first decided I needed a personal trainer, I started checking out the personal trainers at the gym where I was a member. I watched how they interacted with their clients, and the training they gave them. Most of the trainers seemed disinterested in their work, and were either chi-chatting with other members of the gym while training their clients, or checking their cellphones while training. When I checked out Janet, she was always one on one and very focused with her client. Thats when I decided Janet was the one for me. Janet is extremely knowlegeable, not only about personal training, but also about proper nutrition and healthy lifestyle. She has been my personal trainer for over 3 years now. I am going on 57 years old, and thanks to her, I feel and look much younger, and I am very thankful our paths crossed.

I have been working out with Denise for just over 2 years. She is very knowledgeable about fitness training ~ whether it is using machines or "boot camp" type regimens using body weight, kettle bells, dumb bells, resistance bands or resistance balls. She also has good nutritional information to go along with the workouts as well. If you can't make it to the gym, she will come to you....

True definition of a trainer!!!! I decided to do the online training program. The trainer app she uses is the best. Coach Gee is always available to answer questions, no matter how big or small. When I started training with Sean I was a 39 year old mother of two. I've struggled with my weight my whole life. I didn't exercise; didn't really know how to, and I certainly didn't watch what I ate. That's not the role model I wanted to be for my kids. I didn't want to be the mom who sat on the sidelines and watched her kids lives go by. I found Sean through a co-worker. Didn't know anything about hiring a personal trainer, but I lucked out and gave him a chance. It wasn't easy but I stuck with it and didn't quit. I trained with Sean for about a year. During that time I lost 40lbs and my strength and fitness level increased phenomenally! He not only taught me how to exercise, he also taught me about nutrition. Even though I don't train with him anymore, we keep in touch and I still ask Sean advice on all things fitness related.

Timothy is Arguably the best personal trainer in Columbia, MD area. I explained my fitness goals, and within the first few sessions, I could see results. To put it succinctly for those that don’t want to read this whole review..... Julian, as my personal trainer, is phenomenal!  He is super knowledgeable, well trained, educated, I would say an expert about training the body to get the results you want. He has a great energy, enthusiasm, and passion for getting you in the best shape you can be!  I can't recommend him highly enough. I chose to work with Julian, personal trainer and owner of Prepare for Performance, cause he listened to what my goals were and his approach to over all strengthening fit with me. I love how he mixes up the workouts always focus on engaging my core in everything we do. I have never really exercised or been into fitness because weight was never an issue, until I hit my mid 40s. Feeling really fatigued, bad posture, headaches, gravity.... Working with Julian is so important to me because able to judge my abilities and push them just the right amount. He plans the workout so that I'm pushing my limits every session. While I whine and complain he gets me through it.  Even with all the technology, YouTube ect...these are not workouts I could do on my own.  Every session is different, challenging, and feels wholly customized so I may reach my goals. Working out with Julian may be my best decision of the year.  My posture is so much improved, I have upper body strength *for the first time in my life*, I am able to do things I would never have done before and feel great (while I am still not thrilled with how I look,there are improvements, I actually will take my shirt off and swim. god, I missed swimming!) Working out is still hard and something I would never do if it were not for Julian. He is fun, engaging, smart, and a “hard a#$” when he needs to be. If you are wanting to feel better about yourself, feel stronger, happier, and joining the gym just does not do it for you...Julian will get you into shape!!

George has been my personal trainer for 2 months now and I couldn’t be happier with my decision to choose him as a facilitator in my fitness journey. I train with him about 3 times a week and since I’ve started, I can already see and feel results. The idea of exercising and going to the gym always used to give me anxiety. I knew I wanted to be fit and healthy but I did not know where to start. After I started training with George, I began to see that exercising can be less of a struggle and more enjoyable. I actually look forward to going to the gym now because he has and continues to provide me with the directive and tools needed to attain my fitness goals...and it’s been working! From day one, he listened to my needs (which I feel is very important for a trainer to do) while pushing me to levels I didn’t know I could reach. Not only does he encourage fitness in the gym but also outside of the gym by providing a simple meal plan, despite his not being a nutritionist. George is very reliable, and communication has never been an issue. I can always appreciate someone who values my time and money as much as theirs. Which leads me to mention that his prices are VERY reasonable compared to others in the area. I can honestly say that if you choose to go with George as your personal trainer, you will not be disappointed!

I've been training 1:1 with Matt for a couple of months, and I couldn't recommend him highly enough. He helped me form fitness goals within our first two sessions and is patient and encouraging but also pushes me and holds me accountable. He clearly knows his stuff and is very attentive to form so as to avoid injuries. I meet with him weekly, but he's also available to advise and support me outside of our scheduled sessions. Very knowledgeable and experienced trainer!

When I first reached out to Damien for training I was underweight and had not worked out in over a year. Therefore, my fitness goals were to gain healthy weight (lean muscle) while staying toned. Damien’s training approach was personalized to my goals and not a “one-size fits all” approach to fitness. My experience with TakeFlight Fitness was a success! I was skeptical at first about the goals I wanted to achieve and if they would happen within the 7 sessions that I scheduled. But to my surprise, the sessions with Paul helped me to learn about dieting, staying consistent and keeping positivity that you can always achieve any goal you desire. I didn't think I'd be able to gain any muscle mass and weight but I did and I managed to meet my weight goal of 140. Since then, I've been very consistent in maintaining my diet and sticking to my workout routines at home and in the gym. Everyone in my surroundings have also noticed the improvement in my body structure which lets me know that my experience with TakeFlight is recognized. My biggest take away from training with TakeFlight Fitness is that you have to understand it's not an easy job for fitness and there's a lot of scientific background to know how the body works. However, if you seriously want to change your lifestyle for the better, you'll do whatever is possible to reach that goal.

Derwent is the type of trainer others should aspire to be like. He is passionate about training clients and sets goals that challenge a person to meet and exceed their potential. He gives 100% of his attention and never appears to be rushing through the perscribed training program just to check the box and move on to the next client or task. He really cares about the success of his clients. Derwent is my professional trainer for life! I love the Renewed Fitness platform used to track workouts and check-in, in addition to being able to monitor my progress. My trainer can see what I'm doing and communicate with me in a timely manner. The video clips and other graphics that demo each exercise remind me to be focus of my form. I appreciate having the option to add exercises or move them to a different day when my schedule dictates.

I've been working with Steve for about 2 years now and have noticed great improvements. For me, we generally do a full body workout in a circuit-style training. Recently I've told him about my lower back pain and he's catered the exercises and stretches to help with that. He's very knowledgeable when it comes to fitness and he'll work with you to figure out what is best for your body and your goals. He's also very flexible with hours which is great with my work hours. He'll also work with your diet and give suggestions for food choices and lifestyle changes so that you can meet and maintain your fitness goals. If you're looking for a personal trainer, especially if it's your first time, I would definitely suggest considering Steve.

I've been training with Marshall for a few weeks now and am already very happy with the personal training and nutrition plan he has provided. First off, you will not find a better trainer for the money than Marshall in the greater Baltimore area. His prices are about half of what I paid at a boutique personal training studio in Baltimore City and half or more than other quotes I received. Secondly, the training he has provided has pushed me like no other trainer has pushed me before. His detailed workout routines and cardio plans have me seeing results already. He has also provided me with a detailed and easy-to-follow meal plan at no additional charge. If you are looking to get into shape, or just looking to get into better shape, I highly recommend Marshall without hesitation.
