I have taken Gentle Yoga with Asya at Sun & Moon for years. When I heard that she was offering a more personalized therapeutic class, I jumped at the chance to address my particular problems -- back issues, bad knee, Morton's neuroma in my toes -- all things that made some yoga poses very challenging for me. It was wonderful to have her focus on my issues, and she helped me develop a personal practice to work on these things. Her gentle and encouraging voice, strong knowledge of anatomy, and inventive teaching style made it pleasurable as well as useful.

If I could give her 6 stars I would! I am a tennis teaching professional and my job is very physical. During the last few years I had been experiencing injury after injury which was taking all the enjoyment out of my work. Corey is actually one of my students and she encouraged me to try Yoga with her. I was skeptical at first and thought Yoga was for "other people ". I could not have been more wrong! After one session with Corey I could tell this is exactly what I needed. I have been working with Corey for the last 6 months and I feel 20 years younger! Corey is not only a fantastic Yogini. She is incredibly knowledgeable and well versed in many schools of physical fitness. Like Pilates, Cross Fit, TRX?? She knows it all. Incredibly, her expertise does not stop there. Corey is also a walking repository of nutritional information. Going to Corey is a great value, she just knows so much and is so willing to help! In conclusion, the other thing I like and admire about Corey is that she practices what she preaches. She is in great shape and an athlete herself. As an athlete, that's important to me. I highly recommend you give her a try. You will be glad you did!!

I used to hate Yoga, until I started taking class with Melissa. Her classes are a great workout, and you feel both relaxed and enthused afterwards. People have started telling me I look amazing, and the only difference is Melissa's yoga class. I can not recommend her enough.

Mona is the best yoga instructor ever! She creates custom sessions based on how you're feeling and needing. Also, she has this vibe that automatically puts you in a "zen" mode, which is very pleasant after a long day at work. I've also taken Aerial Yoga classes with her and we have a lot of fun trying out new poses with the silks. I highly recommend her yoga classes.

I work in an office environment and after years of having such a sedentary lifestyle I think yoga with Dagmara was just what the doctor ordered. I've been training with Julien about two years now. It began as an at home training experience, and sometimes we would meet at the gym and do some weight training. Many times we worked out at a local park. I've enjoyed working out with Julien because of the sometimes unorthodox exercises that he would do. I lost a lot of weight working with him, and increased my 5k race pace. I enjoy that he draws inspiration from many disciplines such as yoga, meditation, martial arts, weight training, parkour, etc. I think if he had his own gym in a centrally located place it would be awesome. In his gym, he could have jungle-gym inspired equipment in addition to weight training equipment, so we could have a gym (indoors) that would support his style of training. As he grows, perhaps this is what will happen one day :)

She's wonderful!!! I found her very easy to talk to and work with. She has a great sense of humor too. Elizabeth is very flexible with your schedule. During my first session, she demonstrated and explained each pose. She answered all of my questions and addressed my concerns. I highly recommend her to anyone wanting to take yoga.

Selene's yoga session was great. I felt like I learned so much just from one session about how to do each pose correctly and how to modify poses in a beneficial way when you're not totally there yet. Selene's vibe is accepting, warm and encouraging & I didn't feel pressured to do everything perfectly. At the end of our session I felt rejuvinated in mind, body & spirit. Highly recommend!!

As someone with chronic back pain and a high stress job I cant say enough good things about my private yoga sessions. Valerie's deep knowledge of kinetics, mindfulness, and anatomy have been invaluable in my learning to deal with chronic pain and how to live alongside of it instead of retreating in fear of it. I have had increases in flexibility, awareness and mindfulness since beginning the class and look forward to learning more weekly. Valerie's intuitiveness and willingness to share her knowledge allows us to explore many topics in class while still expanding upon the breadth of the practice. Highly recommend to anyone wanting to learn more about yoga, but especially those that may be intimidated by a class or for safety reasons need a more watchful eye.

I've been a happy customer of Sonja Boggs since 2014. I'm a burn survivor and have really appreciated the rehabilitative powers of yoga long after my burn scars have healed. Now I keep going to Sonja because it keeps me more limber and feeling better all around, especially Sunday nights after her class. Sonja's yoga style is perfect for beginners through advanced and she reads pleasant proverbs and such during your 3 to 5 minute stretches to further your appreciation of being good to your body and soul. She now teaches in Purcerville and I drive 30 minutes from Ashburn for her Sunday 4:15 class because it is one of the highlights of my week.

I met Gretchen when I was starting my second trimester with a twin pregnancy this past spring. My husband thought private pre-natal yoga sessions would be a perfect way to keep me healthy throughout my pregnancy. Gretchen was amazing to work with! She was friendly, energetic, and had a calming nature. I expected to take 1 session a week with her, but decided to engage in two weekly sessions. I honestly believe that Gretchen is the reason my pregnancy and delivery went so well. After my C-section the doctors told me they had never met a twin mom that was so flexible right after delivery. Gretchen is the reason for that. She not only taught me yoga, she provided mini-massages to help relax my pregnancy aches. She checked in on me regularly if we didn't meet, and she was willing to work with my schedule. She brought the music, equipment, and even recommended better mats to help my practice. I would recommend her to anyone looking for yoga instruction. I will soon be starting post-natal services with her!
