I have taken Gentle Yoga with Asya at Sun & Moon for years. When I heard that she was offering a more personalized therapeutic class, I jumped at the chance to address my particular problems -- back issues, bad knee, Morton's neuroma in my toes -- all things that made some yoga poses very challenging for me. It was wonderful to have her focus on my issues, and she helped me develop a personal practice to work on these things. Her gentle and encouraging voice, strong knowledge of anatomy, and inventive teaching style made it pleasurable as well as useful.

As an acupuncturist, my personal healing journey path started decades ago. My healing journey with Olga started almost a year ago. I have residual one-sided tightness that caused low back pain, neck/shoulders and IT band tightness. And, I am in desperate need of rejuvenation! I decided to give the One-on-One yoga a try for a couple of months. I wanted to take actions that helped to lift my spirit, sooth my mind and eliminating my pain while enhancing my healing journey. At our first meeting, Olga said two things that I carry with me for the rest of my life. Firstly, Olga mentioned that while I have been receiving treatments, I was a passive participant. I have been an acupuncturist for over 10 years and had never invested the time and energy toward healing myself by active participation. These are the same concept I use with my clients. ‘Physicians heal thyself’ was what I needed to hear. Secondly, Olga would start with restorative postures. The languaging Olga used resonate well with me. Olga's deep knowledge of anatomy, structures and functions help me to capture the essence of the poses I was relearning. Each pose heightens my own awareness of my own forms. Olga has the innate ability to meet me where I am when I walk in her studio. I know that on occasions, Olga has 'redesigned' her class so that I was able to meet my challenges at that particular moments. My session is designed for me!!! In my session with Olga, I experience concentrated treatment promoting deep healing, inner calmness, therapeutic intuition and heightened proprioceptive awareness. Ten months down the road, standing tall and erect, my aches and pains are much diminished. I find peace within. I want to thank Olga for the deeply transformative One on One yoga sessions. These sessions have provided the opportunity growth – both personal and professional. I have not been feel so well since I do not know when…- perhaps forever. My 68 years old body does not ache anymore, my feet are firmly grounded, my neck range of motion improve, my pelvis level is more in balance. I feel young with more energy to devote to my patients and people I love. One-on-One Yoga has given my life back. I know that I am worth it, I deserve it. And, I need it….. Everyone does. I have been working with Mark for several weeks now. He has helped design a yoga-based workout for me for my third trimester of pregnancy. These workouts are helping me tremendously. His knowledge of PT and yoga together have been a very helpful combination. He is kind and punctual.
Gretchen Schutte is an outstanding yoga teacher. I have taken both classes and workshops with her at Inner Power Yoga in Sterling, VA, and each time I walk away feeling so grateful to have met her and honored to be in her classes. Not only is she an expert on several different types of yoga (vinyasa, nidra, yin), but she is one of the most accessible people I have ever met. She makes all of her students feel comfortable, is willing to help in any way, and creates a safe and peaceful space to explore your yoga practice. After a confusing session in yoga nidra at another studio, I signed up for a workshop Gretchen was leading on nidra practice. Not only was the session amazing, but she also made the effort to meet me before the workshop to see if she could help me to better understand the practice and to dispel the confusion I had found with another teacher. Gretchen is simply one of the best, and I look forward to every single opportunity I have to take her classes. She is the real deal and an A+++

Selene's yoga session was great. I felt like I learned so much just from one session about how to do each pose correctly and how to modify poses in a beneficial way when you're not totally there yet. Selene's vibe is accepting, warm and encouraging & I didn't feel pressured to do everything perfectly. At the end of our session I felt rejuvinated in mind, body & spirit. Highly recommend!!
Valerie is great at tailoring her private yoga lessons to your needs. She goes out of her way to help identify my body's problem areas and work them out, and I feel SO much better (body and mind) on weeks when I make sure to get my session with her in. As well as creating an experience really good for what I need, she's professional and fun to work with. I really enjoy my sessions with her.
In her class, Grace, provides the perfect environment to experience the healing effects of understanding and knowing your body and its energy. She is knowledgable and readily shares her insights and experiences to benefit everyone in the class. I would go to her class everyday, if I could.
I met Gretchen when I was starting my second trimester with a twin pregnancy this past spring. My husband thought private pre-natal yoga sessions would be a perfect way to keep me healthy throughout my pregnancy. Gretchen was amazing to work with! She was friendly, energetic, and had a calming nature. I expected to take 1 session a week with her, but decided to engage in two weekly sessions. I honestly believe that Gretchen is the reason my pregnancy and delivery went so well. After my C-section the doctors told me they had never met a twin mom that was so flexible right after delivery. Gretchen is the reason for that. She not only taught me yoga, she provided mini-massages to help relax my pregnancy aches. She checked in on me regularly if we didn't meet, and she was willing to work with my schedule. She brought the music, equipment, and even recommended better mats to help my practice. I would recommend her to anyone looking for yoga instruction. I will soon be starting post-natal services with her!
No one is more attentive than Lynne. In a full class, she can make you feel like you are in a private session. She delivers a great workout and really helps you stay in touch with why you showed up in the first place!

Horseback riding: I have implemented yogic techniques while instructing horse-backriding lessons and have taught yoga and riding to people of all ages and levels of experience. I have been riding horses for pleasure for over 15 years and primarily teach English lessons (Hunter and Equitation). I used to ride for the University of South Florida equestrian team and I love working with kids because riding helps to build confidence, trust and focus (amongst many other excellent character traits).
