While visiting my daughter in Northern Virginia, my wife and I had the pleasure of meeting Gaurav Singh of Going Yogue. We had a wonderful conversation about India, yoga and the benefits of incorporating Mudras (symbolic gestures) in your everyday practice in order to stay cool, calm and happy. My wife and I practice yoga daily, and were very interested in learning new practices from Gaurav as he seemed very knowledgeable. We don't drive, and he even came to my daughter's house to give us a lesson- a huge convenience for us. He taught us Sheetli pranayama (breathing exercise) and Abhaya Mudra (gesture). We have incorporated these into our everyday morning session. Both of these help me to stay cool and calm, which is necessary due to my high blood pressure. This daily practice also helps me to have a better sleep and keeps me happy. Additionally, we talked about my diabetes and how to naturally control it through nutrition. Gaurav was kind enough to put a plan together and sent it to me through email, which I may follow at home. The plan has been very helpful. I wish I would have more time to learn from him, and will surely have more sessions when we next visit the area. God bless him for his passion and desire to spread his knowledge of Yoga and nutrition to improve everyone's life. I wish him all the best!

Then I gently move and stretch you while you relax on the fluffy mat - honoring your own body's needs and limits. At the end of the session, I lead you through another guided meditation, which allows you to reflect on how the session relates to your life.Then you are invited to set an "action step" to do outside of the session, which will help you take a step towards your initial goal. It may be to relax, to heal from grief, or family and career related goals. I have been giving sessions since 2003, and offer a satisfaction guarantee. If you don't like the session, you don't pay. (No one has ever had to take me up on this!) I am the author of Mindfulness & Grief, which is based on the 8 week group that I created and facilitate.
