It was an absolute pleasure! I love how my rooms are coming together and the fact that she left me an action plan and some homework until we meet again. This will be an ongoing project with a few more sessions till completion of my home. However I do see the progress and I'm looking forward to coming home to a fully organized home again. So grateful for the help!

If you are struggling with clutter and disorganization, do yourself a favor and hire Joan Eileen. I was very nervous but knew I needed professional help- she could not have been more compassionate and gentle with my space and my needs. I was embarrassed by the amount of clutter (see photos) but she came in and sorted through and worked with me item by item to reduce the amount of piles I had- and organize my items in a way that works for me. She truly takes time to get to know you and your space and made a dreaded task- which I felt was impossible- now seem manageable. I am looking forward to seeing her again and making even more progress!

Joan is great! My husband and I are expecting a baby and needed to make space in our home for a new family member. Joan helped me reorganize my kitchen spaces to make them more efficient and made plenty of room for all the baby items, but also provided recommendations for how to better use the space in general (my pantry is now 😍)! Joan also reorganized our tiny linen closet & small bathroom, and created way more room. She took the time to show me how to best fold my towels so that I can keep up the system she created. I appreciated her ideas and rationale for why she organized things in the way she did. It was helpful and I feel much more at ease knowing where everything belongs. :) I highly recommend Spirit House Interiors!

I was looking forward to organizing my home with Spirit House Interiors. Having moved over the summer and downsized in closet space proved to be a challenge that I tried to do alone but failed. I didn't know where to start and felt intimidated by this work. Joanie knew where to start and was swift as soon as she arrived. She showed me how to "break the rules" so my space works for me and my lifestyle. With her guidance, I was able to strategically store items according to the frequency of use and make donate what I didn't use. She organized my kitchen and bathroom storage and helped me add hygge to my living room by way of a fuzzy area rug. Finally, she gave me storage tips to continue my journey into making my new house into a home, my home.

  • What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?

    For home organization I charge $70/hr, with a 5-hour minimum. There is also a possibility to do prep-work in advance via Zoom so we can hit the ground running when we meet in person.

  • What is your typical process for working with a new customer?

    Whether you just moved or have lived in your home for decades, I work with you to develop a clear, personalized vision of the home you desire. We start by discussing the needs of your project on a short video or phone call. Each project is unique, so I may ask you to send some photos in advance to help me strategize prior to arriving. During this time, I also work with you to determine what organizational style is most natural and sustainable for you (yes, there are different styles!). From there, we set your first appointment, and the work begins! As an interior designer, I will constantly be looking for ways to maximize your space while creating a comfortable, efficient set-up. Many clients have found that they enjoy having my eye for aesthetics and space planning, and so it's not uncommon that we continue to work together beyond the initial scope of home organization, moving into Feng Shui, holistic interior design, and other tools for balanced home.
