FAQs
- What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?
I am currently only booking Signing Ceremonies, but am open to officiating larger services under special circumstances. Signing Ceremony - $100 - Bare-bones ceremony, shared as a Google Doc - Declaration of Intent - License Signing - Online and over-the-phone consultation - Video chat, if needed - I will meet you in a public place or a private residence - ~5 minutes length - Optional customization if the wording of the script doesn’t fit your personalities I rarely perform larger ceremonies anymore (Short and Sweet and Specialized Ceremonies). However, if you contact me, and we are of similar minds, I am definitely open to working with you. For those larger ceremonies, a $100 non-refundable retainer is required to book your ceremony date, the rest of the balance is due before the ceremony takes place. I am very flexible and available to communicate through email and phone, at no extra cost. All couples are allowed to write their own vows.
- What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
If you think I am the right fit for you, call or email me to see if I am available. For the Signing Ceremony, we do not need to meet in person. Many times, these are last-minute bookings, and there just isn't time to meet up. I rarely do Short and Sweet and Specialized Ceremonies anymore. However, if you contact me, and we are of similar mind, I am definitely open to working with you. Once we set up a date, I'll send you the script and Service Agreement.
- What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I was ordained through Universal Life Church Ministries and am legally allowed to perform weddings in Michigan and the surrounding states. When I fill out your marriage license, I will sign it with my name with the title, Minister, as I am legally obligated. I chose to be ordained for the sole purpose of officiating weddings and celebrating similar ceremonies. I am not affiliated with any religious group or organization. You don’t need a church to have a wedding, and it would be an honor to perform your wedding as an “Official Officiant”.
