There real (and sometimes serious) contraindications for each and every Yoga technique, and many Yoga teachers are not trained in them. It has taught me how to recognize movement that could be potentially damaging from repetitive use. Pure Movement is working from a place of breath and ease and building strength from that place. I'm also focusing on the three major joints: hips, shoulder girdles, and knees. Through this movement, you become of aware of the compensation you are doing instead of using the joint or muscle we were meant to use. It is full of wonderful "aha!" moments.
