I've been taking drum lessons with Mike for almost a year now. I can say with confidence that I've been progressing from lesson to lesson under his instruction and guidance. If I were to describe Mike as a teacher so far, he would be the Yoda of drums; he's positive, gentle, and fun. But at the same time, he's firm and pushes you to be the best drummer you can be. Mike also calibrates his lesson based on your current drum level; he never teaches something that is too easy nor does he teach something that is too difficult. Instead, he has guided me through challenging but achievable exercises. Progression has been improving one baby-step at a time. This wouldn't have been possible without Mike's attention to detail, patience, encouragement, and continuous feedback. With that being said, these small baby-steps over the past year have led to tremendous improvement in my skills in 2016. Looking forward to getting even better in 2017. I would highly recommend Mike for private lessons if you wish to be a JEDI DRUM MASTER!

My son picked up percussion just before entering the 8th grade. Nick was able to work with Austin and get him caught up to 8th grade level in a few short months. This is when Austin also learned the importance of practice and accountability from someone other then his parents. If the school wasn't open for lessons, he always found a way to accommodate a lesson. Austin really enjoyed his drum set lessons the most! We miss Nick very much and if he was still in Michigan, he would still be Austin's teacher.

I began taking drum lessons with Brian starting in 6th grade after he was recommended by a friend. I have recently stopped taking lessons for I am going to college, and senior year of high school got way too busy for me to continue. Brian's teaching and his passion for drumming has helped influence both my playing and attitude towards percussion. Though I will not be a percussionist in college, I will always continue to play drum set. I highly recommend Brian Harris Drum And Percussion Lessons. You will not be disappointed. His expertise and teaching style will reach out too all skill levels and will make learning the art of percussion fun and enjoyable. As a past student and fellow percussionist, I highly recommend Brian Harris Drum And Percussion Lessons to everyone!

My son had never had drum lessons before so he was pretty bad at first. We can definitely tell the difference over the past 2 months when he is down stairs practicing. Scott is very patient and my son really enjoys his lessons.

I'm a beginner drummer and Ian has helped me with technique to develop a good foundation. We also apply the techniques to songs after just 4 or 5 lessons. Ian is very eclectic in his knowledge of music and customizes curriculum for every student's needs. He recommended some good books to help me learn more drum patterns and I look forward to learning more!

Alec does so well with my daughter. She sometimes likes to try and do her own thing and instead of pushing her to always focus, which isn't always an easy task for a child, he'll at times encourage her free play to get it out and then she's back to wanting to learn. She very much enjoys going because he makes it a fun learning experience. She sounds better each time going so the improvement is astounding. I really appreciate how good Alec is with her and I've already recommended this place to friends based simply on how incredible he is.

Devin is one of these guys that get it! Ive had a really good experience with him. He's been teaching me privately for about 2 years and has shown me how to connect what was missing in my playing to what I thought I understood! Fast forward.. I've just released a record and finished a 3 week US tour.....I never wouldve had the ability or confidence without him

I have been working with Bryce for about one year since starting as an absolute beginner. He has been an excellent instructor. Our lessons have been both fun and productive; I always look forward to them. He has also been flexible regarding lesson time changes and cancellations. Highly recommended!

I was a student of Sam's for about two years, and I was extremely pleased with the level of improvement that my drumming took in such a short amount of time. Sam is great at breaking down concepts and explaining them in an easy to grasp way. His analogies are both entertaining and informative, the perfect combo to make any concept stick. The best part about working with Sam is that I could bring any concern or problem I'd been having into a lesson, and he would instantly have a creative way of breaking it down and showing me how I should practice it. Sam not only taught me important technical aspects of drumming, but he taught me how to practice effectively, and how to continue learning outside of lessons. I would highly recommend Sam as a teacher for students of any level.
