Introduction: David Rodgers has been teaching private music lessons for over 11 years. He tries to make lessons fun by encouraging students to choose their own songs and styles to learn. David is not a strict teacher, but he does remind students that no one else can practice their instruments for them. He teaches both out of his home in Oak Park and at students' homes. About the lessons: INSTRUMENTS: * Piano - Beginning to Advanced * Guitar - Beginning to Intermediate * Violin - Beginning to Intermediate * String Bass - Beginning to Intermediate METHOD BOOKS: David generally teaches piano from Alfred Method (both children's and adult versions) and guitar from Hal Leonard Method. He teaches violin and string bass from Essential Elements or All for Strings; however, he is open to choosing the method book you like or already have, or he will also teach without a method book. SIBLINGS AND FRIENDS Two siblings or friends in the same house can each take a 30-minute lesson and be charged the 60-minute rate. PRICING: Lessons start at $20 / half hour or $34 / hour in our Oak Park, MI studio and in-your-own-home pricing is also available. See our website (link on the left side of this page) for full current pricing.
