I was studying for the GMAT, and since it had been over 20 years since my bachelors degree, I found myself struggling with the Quantitative Analysis section. A friend, who knew Lou Vierling, suggested that I give him a call and see if he could help. Lou walked me through the algebra and geometry questions on the sample tests. He has an amazing understanding of the material and a way to present it so that it is understandable. I would recommend Lou to anyone struggling with math and wish I would have had him as a tutor when I was in high school!
It's always difficult to select a tutor but Lea was a gold mine!!! So flexible, excellent at assessing the issues and than laying out a plan to resolve them. I was always confident my daughter would come away from her session with a firm understanding of the content reviewed and maintain comprehension of the subject matter. Five stars!! I will use Lea again and recommend her to anyone in need of math help!!
Jeremy tutored me last semester for my intro to stats class. I'm really glad I started working with him early enough to turn my grade around (numbers have never been my strong suit ^_^). Hope to work with him next fall when I return to Wayne State.

Is your child struggling to complete school work and catch up with materials they've missed in precious grades? Private tutoring is often the answer the these questions. I provide science and math tutoring to students in elementary, middle school and high school students and college students taking intro level math and physics courses. I offer competitive rates and lesson packages.
I have been working as a teacher and coach for people from elementary school all the way to college and have been very successful in helping them learn academically and with their study habits. I build a great relationship with students to help them want to learn.
I have been a private math tutor for nearly 10 years. I approach math from a different viewpoint than most teachers. I learned math because I wanted to understand how it applies to be an engineer. Though my current career has taken me into another direction, I still enjoy sharing my knowledge and love of math with students who want to learn. Normally, I am able to explain most concepts in multiple ways in case a student is not able to understand one way or another. My best range of math is from Algebra I through Pre-Calculus, though I do work with students in courses before or after. I am a coach at a local high school, so I have a background check run on me every year. As for meeting, I usually meet at the client's home, provided there are little to no distractions. If there will be too many distractions, I recommend meeting at a local library. For home schooled students, I am also available earlier in the day.
I have a true passion for the subject I cover, and a deep desire to help all students succeed.
