  1. #1 Rockwell Guitar School

    (19 reviews)

    Alyssa B.

Rockwell Guitar School is the best! My son, 7 years old, was playing a one-string fret version of the Harry Potter theme song in a week. After just 3 months, his fingers move easily all over the fret board and strings. Alex is remarkable in his guitar skills, and his interpersonal skills. He seemingly effortlessly develops lessons geared to the types of songs my son likes (I am Iron Man, Mario Theme, Plants vs. Zombies theme, etc). My son loves lesson days, and barely needs to be reminded to practice. These are not the old-school piano lessons from my childhood!

The teacher has a unique way of getting through to the student. He is extremely patient and I'm very surprised to be learning so quickly and I've been taking lessons from Jeff for little over a month. He guides you through the music you love and will give you "homework" which has helped a lot. I highly recommend Jeff!

Mike is a terrific guitar instructor. He's organized, providing easy-to-follow lesson plans and he tailors the instruction to your interests and pace. Another bonus: he's a working musician and he recently hosted an open blues jam session where his students played with his band Crooked Dice. How cool is that? We (students) got a chance play with other musicians. Isn't that what music is all about?
