My 6 1/2 year old daughter recently began guitar lessons with Nic. He comes to our home, which is great because she is in a familiar environment without the distractions of new surroundings detracting from her lesson. She's really enjoying the lessons and he works very well with her. He keeps her attention and finds ways to motivate her to learn and have fun.

Alec has been giving my son drum lessons since Dec 2015. My son had some training and experience drumming, but after he started taking lessons with Alec, it was noticeable how much his drumming ability was improving. Alec is a great drum instructor and works really well with my son. He starts with where ever you are at and comes up with creative ways to improve your playing ability. I would highly recommend Alec as a drum teacher.

I took drum lessons weekly from Leon for about two years. He was great! I had a little background in drumming and I wanted to learn some of my favorite songs. He took the time to create music for those songs for me and was always prepared. He figured out what my weak points were and always had great exercises to break through my stuck points.

I have been taking guitar lessons with Mike for 8 years, and I have learned so much. His professional experience allows him to teach and cater to each student's individual needs, to make sure they get the most out of each lesson. I definitely recommend him!

John has helped me take my drumming to the next level. When I started lessons I was fairly new to the drum set and did not know how to read music. Over the past two years he has completely transformed me from a beginner to a gigging musician. John is patient, laid back and very knowledgeable and I would highly recommend him to drummers of all skill levels.

My son, who was 10 years old at the time, took drum lessons from Craig for a school year. The only reason why we stopped was that we moved out of state. Craig was a terrific teacher and mentor. Clearly he knew music and how to teach it. He was very positive and encouraging, not to mention patient. His price was affordable and the cost of the material was reasonable as well.

My two sons Benjamin and Jeremiah took private lessons from Charlie. My older son Benjamin was with Charlie for years and absolutely loved taking drum lessons from him. My older son is off to college now with a great foundation of knowledge of percussion/drum playing and reading music that will last a life time! My sons would come home after their lessons every week with "Hand Written" percussion notes/music to practice. And they "did" practice because Charlie gave them the incentive and motivation to "want" to be successful. My younger son also took lessons and thought the world of Charlie. He too will always be thankful to Charlie for his dedication and patients during his drum lessons and he will always speak highly of Charlie. I would highly recommend Charlie Engen for music/drum lessons because he is the best around! Sincerely Sue Melville

This is best music opportunity for children interested in rock and roll. Our kids have been at the School of Rock for over 4 years and the rewards to them have been many. They have received excellent instruction in guitar, drums, bass, vocals, and on-stage performance and as well as attended many of the free workshops and fun get-togethers the school organizes. Most valuable however, is the weekly experience collaborating with the other students in band rehearsals. They truly feel like they're part of a rock band and need no other incentive than this to practice each day. The instructors and show directors have high expectations of all students. Students who work hard are offered additional opportunities to participate and improve. As for Stacey herself, we truly believe that it is her open, positive attitude that has created such a supportive, successful environment for the students, parents and staff.

I can't imagine how much smaller my son's world would be if we had not met Peter O'Gorman. Peter took a shy, introverted boy and taught him poise and self confidence in just a few years. My son, Collin, learned not just how to drum, but how to cooperate, how to give and take, and how to enjoy music. After giving Collin years of drumming lessons, Peter set my son up with a jazz drumming professor and a Jazz drumming ensemble at college. Peter continues to reach out to my son and to work with him when school is out. Thank you, Peter, more than I can say, for changing Collin's world. Barbara May Attorney at Law

During my lessons, Zach helped me work on my technique to get the most out of my drumming. I had never taken drum lessons before, but I wanted to learn. Zach was very patient with me. He did an excellent job at explaining everything and demonstrating proper drumming technique. Plus, he made everything fun and easy to understand. He would be a great teacher for beginner or intermediate drummers. Thanks again, Zach!

We have been working with Scott for several years. My oldest son started lessons in 3rd grade on the drum set as well as snare to prepare him for taking percussion in school and to see if he enjoyed playing. Going into middle school now, we are still at it! My younger son recently started piano with Scott as well. Above all, Scott is patient and encouraging. He is experienced in working with (sometimes restless/uncooperative) kids and always tries to find the right balance of success and challenge to keep them motivated. He is also flexible and understanding of our family's often crazy schedule.

I've been taking drum lessons from Jeremy at Klash Drums for a year now and he is the best! I started as a beginnner and have made amazing progress. He lets me work at my own pace but also gives me a push when I need it. I can play lots of different rudiments and beats and have a great time improvising. I also bought my kit from Klash and and it's a great starter set with a number of excellent features, custom assembled to fit what I need. I'm not going anywhere else for lessons and, when I'm ready, I'll get an upgrade on my drum kit from there, too. Klash rocks!

This school has been amazing for our children. We have one in drums and one in guitar. They even enjoy practicing and look forward every week to the lessons. The individual attention and care is top notch. Highly recommend the school and the teachers we've had are Stan (guitar) and Kyle (drums).

My son wanted to take bass lessons and after a quick google search I found Mr. Gilmore's website. His rates are reasonable and his resume is solid. My son really loves his patient teaching style and is quickly taking to the basics of both playing and music theory. I would highly recommend Hugh to anyone looking for a professional, patient and knowledgable teacher.

      About

My students regularly outperform their peers and are heavily represented in the top ensembles in their schools, as well as all-state programs. Also, by teaching lessons at the student's home, they are much more comfortable playing on their own instrument -- young drummers are all different shapes and sizes, and so are their drum sets.
